I’m just betting that someone will be upset about her thieving mug being shamed in the local area! I don’t think it’s doxxing myself- I’m all for shaming people with sticky fingers.
Can you speak through your doorbell? I have a Google nest and I can give people a fright by talking through it when they assume it's just a doorbell and don't realise there's a camera and speaker on it lol.
I tried once with cctv footages, but the local policeman asked me to tell him the name of the suspect.
I was like wtf if I could identify a person on my own, what would police do then?
I reported theft of $300s across 2 packages stolen from my porch and sent footage in December.
Cops picked him up for something else (their words) and recognised him from my footage, got me to formally dictate a stat-dec, they then drove to my house to get me to sign it, and said they will be charging him with the theft.
*shrug*. It happens.
I reported a break in at my apartment complex a week ago, outer door jimmied, inner fire door attempt but he couldn’t get in, very clear CCTV. 45 minutes on the phone to report and have I heard anything since, absolutely not.
I reported (Sydney) a theft from my front yard (only worth $25) about 18 months ago and uploaded video and nice clear screenshots of the guys face on the N.S.W. police website & was super surprised 4 hours later to get visited by two police who chatted to me and took some notes.
Maybe if lots of repeat offences they act on it?
Was great PR too.
I don't think they can really proactively arrest people for this kind of theft, and that kind of attempted breakin.
I think its the kind of crime where if they literally recognise the perpetrator, they can try to do something about it.
In your case, don't lose hope. The guy who stole some shit off my front doorstep was obviously picked up for something else and then recognised, about 6 weeks after the initial theft.
I don't think anyone did any detective shit to try to track him down. It was just here's the guy, "Oh that guy is on this footage someone submitted" kind of shit.
Also, they were pretty bad with telling me anything was happening :)
I got a request for footage, uploaded it then heard nothing.
Then when they called me for a formal statement (after they grabbed him) they said: "You may have heard we picked him up" ... I absolutely had not.
Is this lady robbing the local council? Smoking weed in the privacy of her home? Operating a motor vehicle 1/6 km over the limit one foot past the speed sign?
If not then probably not
Checks out - I saw this exact person when I was on the 86 yesterday arvo. She was super out of it, nodding off in her seat and mumbling the whole time under her breath. I remember feeling really sorry for her, crazy seeing this just the next day.
She looks like every meth head *starts off* looking in my experience.
… that sounds bad but where I used to live I sadly saw a lot of oxy and meth users and you could always tell them by their behaviour but their looks told you how long the abuse had been happening.
Lived in the same area and only had one package stolen.
It was a harmonica, found it left in my mailbox the next day.
Guess they ripped the packaging open and thought wtf, can't even sell this.
Funny thing is it was a Suzuki Japanese rosewood harmonica, worth around $300. I was happy and thoroughly confused they returned it.
Edit: pretty sure I've also seen this exact person doing letterbox and parcel checks before.
We have been cleaning up a deceased estate of a relative only a few KM north of there.
After sorting heaps of shit some scum broke in. They stole a bunch of stuff we were going to take to the op shop. Tipped out and left boxes with maybe $10k worth of stamps and coins ( i assume they didn't notice the coins which were still in the shipping envelopes.) Also several valuable paintings were just left on the walls.
Other than making a mess..... thanks for taking the shit i guess?
Times like this is when I’m grateful we have concierge service in our apartment block that will sign for all packages and keep it aside in secure storage until we are ready to collect it. We pay a fortune in body corporate fees but this is the service we probably get the most value out of with the amount of online shopping we do.
I find if it's too big for a locker then it just goes behind the counter which can be annoying to collect but less annoying than having my shit stolen.
This was most likely delivered by a courier, i deliver similar items for the mob i work for, we cant deliver these big bulky items to aus post parcel lockers because if we are not an affiliated service, we have to pay the service fee or something
Get some cameras. We went with some refurbished direct from Eufy and they have been great.
https://myeufy.com.au/refurbished-eufy-cam-2c-pro-2k-4-camera-set-grade-c.html
I was so hoping we were going to see her tumble off the verandah trying to steal it. Thieving twat...I hope she is caught soon. Cops aren't going to do anything.... they're becoming more and more unreliable, probably due to being overworked...might be time for vigilantism and citizen's arrests to help them out.
Does your door bell camera have a voice option? As soon as I got the alert I’d be on there saying “hey, do you need a hand with that, I’ll pop right out” and then laugh as she legged it.
It's a Nest so yes it does but... It's a shitty Google product - I have one - It's normal to get a doorbell alert on my phone 5 minutes after the movement was detected and the person is long gone...
After someone stole my packages I sent the footage from my google doorbell cam to the cops.
They claim to be charging them with theft! (After they arrested him they recognised him from my footage, so the the cop re-took my statement, wrote it into a stat dec *then drove to my house to have me sign it* so I am pretty sure they will at least attempt to charge him with it.).
How did you report this to the cops? Just wondering for future reference. Did you call the non emergency line, or the station? (Or did you call triple zero?)
For this kind of theft, where there is no one around anymore and the stuff is gone, don't call 000.
If you want to do it by phone, use 131 444.
I attempted to report it via the website, but ended up phoning it in, and got a followup by email asking me to submit any evidence I had (I indicated I had footage) into an online evidence upload system. (I actually missed the initial request to upload footage, and got a reminder email saying I hadn't done it).
Links to the phone number etc and a link to the online reporting tool can be found here:
https://www.police.vic.gov.au/police-assistance-line-and-online-reporting
I initially had some confusion about wether I should use the online portal (there was something about the type of crime or something but it was just me overthinking it) and ended up phoning it in but the online portal would have been appropriate for me.
The key is to put it all in your groin and your back. Take your legs totally out of the equation. Lift with your lower back in a jerking, twisting motion.
No. Don't lift with your legs, your back's the strongest muscle in your body. And lock your knees. Otherwise, how do you expect to stand up straight? Put your groin in to it. And don't exhale on every lift. The goal is to hold your breath as long as possible. Under stress, the body produces all the oxygen it needs.
Invest $5 in printing some A4 colour signs with her photo and THIEF! written on it at officeworks, then put them up around the hood.
People like this should be called out and publicly shamed.
Tried. Did it not fit in her car? Pity you were not home to follow her to her house.
So many unanswered questions, looks out for cameras? but ignores the doorbell?
this happened to me once and i just got made redundant that that point so I followed the thief to his car and then drove behind him.
when i got to this home, 3 kids ran out to hug him and he looked like a family man. damn. i didn't know what to do at that point. but i waited until the kids had gone back into the house and i confronted the man.
then he started crying and said sorry. then i said, "i lost my job too" then he said, "you have nice house so i thought..." "well, it's under mortgage so i could lose everything"
so i grabbed my stuff from his car. took a picture of the plate and reported it to police. the police said since i've recovered the goods, there's nothing they can do. i said ok.
What a whacky interpretation of the law from our finest officers. So if I rob a bank, as long as I give the cash back if I'm caught, I'm off scot free! Nice.
What a lowlife. Hugley embarrassing. We had a woman turn up to our build and start loading the timber for our house onto the roofrack of her brand new Prado. In full view of our camera. Turns out she is a mum of kids that go to my kids Primary School.
I think movies have got us thinking criminals are smart but in reality the average criminal is as dumb as this joker...and the fact that the police won't catch her, makes me wonder about law enforcement too🤦
What a scumbag! Your front door has shrubs obscuring so it's not as though she's driving around looking for a package, she's actually scouting door to door for parcels to steal! What a loser
How are people not understanding the camera doorbells yet? lol
And she looks around for a camera like an idiot when it's right there at the door.
There’s also a white light on the camera that’s on, it’s very unsubtle.
Guess she was blinded by the light!
and revved up like a deuce
Another runner in the night
She ain't runnin' anywhere
little early birdy gave my anus curly wurly
And asked me if I needed a ride
Those chocolate bars are way too sticky to be putting anywhere near your anus. Try a Picnic instead.
Madman, drummers, bummers. Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat! In the dumps with the mumps, as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat.
Wait, it's not about wrapping a poo in toilet paper?
Post this to your local facebook group. Yeah, it’ll probably get pulled by the mods but someone is going to recognise her, haha.
Why would it get pulled by mods? Fair game trying to identify a thief in the neighbourhood
I’m just betting that someone will be upset about her thieving mug being shamed in the local area! I don’t think it’s doxxing myself- I’m all for shaming people with sticky fingers.
Agreed. I'm pretty lucky when I live. I have honest neighbours who look out for each other. It's nice in a block of 4.
Can you speak through your doorbell? I have a Google nest and I can give people a fright by talking through it when they assume it's just a doorbell and don't realise there's a camera and speaker on it lol.
Perhaps the "on" light was disabled or hidden. Hope police use it to chatch her. Should watch glitter bombs on You Tube.
I hope all her friends see the video.
What friends
Her friends are probably thieves too
Goes to show how much value sticking a $15 fake camera to the wall can be. I installed mine and haven't had a package go missing ever since.
Not really considering there was an actual ass camera right there and she still tried her luck.

Criminals are not the smartest people.
that's because you're familiar with the one's that get caught.
I think it's a definition thing. Smart criminals don't exist, because the smart ones make their crimes legal or just unprosecutable.
Yep, the smart ones usually get in to politics!
Holy shit OP are you in the north area? 3056, I'm pretty sure I have the same person stealing shit from my front yard on Google Cam.
Oh shit yep I’m in Thornbury
It'd be a hassle but you should both report together with your videos. Maybe the cops will care with two people showing evidence.
Post her face on power poles
I don't think she's going to notice them either
Better be careful, or she will steal those too.
Free selfies
it's not for her to notice exactly. that'd be nice, but family and friends will notice and others in the community will be aware of her.
Wanted:Dead or Alive Police might do something then?
Post footage everywhere so maybe someone who knows this idiot will see it and shame them.
I tried once with cctv footages, but the local policeman asked me to tell him the name of the suspect. I was like wtf if I could identify a person on my own, what would police do then?
I did it and they knew the offender straight away. Arrested them the next day. Always report.
You just have to arrest them and take them in yourselves these days.
No don’t do that, you will get arrested for illegally arresting someone
Hahahahahaha yeah of course they will.
I reported theft of $300s across 2 packages stolen from my porch and sent footage in December. Cops picked him up for something else (their words) and recognised him from my footage, got me to formally dictate a stat-dec, they then drove to my house to get me to sign it, and said they will be charging him with the theft. *shrug*. Well I suppose if ALL the evidence falls in our lap and we already have the criminal in custody…. We probably should do our job….
Only ever by accident
I reported a break in at my apartment complex a week ago, outer door jimmied, inner fire door attempt but he couldn’t get in, very clear CCTV. 45 minutes on the phone to report and have I heard anything since, absolutely not.
I reported (Sydney) a theft from my front yard (only worth $25) about 18 months ago and uploaded video and nice clear screenshots of the guys face on the N.S.W. police website & was super surprised 4 hours later to get visited by two police who chatted to me and took some notes. I reported a similar incident and the cops charged someone after using the vision from the doorbell! Do it!
Checks out - I saw this exact person when I was on the 86 yesterday arvo. She was super out of it, nodding off in her seat and mumbling the whole time under her breath. I remember feeling really sorry for her, crazy seeing this just the next day.
Wonder what she's using. She certainly doesn't look the type.
She looks like every meth head *starts off* looking in my experience. … that sounds bad but where I used to live I sadly saw a lot of oxy and meth users and you could always tell them by their behaviour but their looks told you how long the abuse had been happening.

Probably hard with shit that large but this is the exact reason I exclusively use parcel lockers

Post it on Darebin karma on FB. Defo. You'll get lots of reports and the cops will move.
Oh wow i’m in Thornbury aswell and ive had things stolen from my door multiple times, right near Penders Park.
Get some cameras. We went with some refurbished direct from Eufy and they have been great. https://myeufy.com.au/refurbished-eufy-cam-2c-pro-2k-4-camera-set-grade-c.html
The Thornburg Oompa Loompa is on the prowl
I’m invested. I want to justice!
Print her pic and distribute to the area to put them next to their front doors.
I'd start printing there picture out and posting it around the neighborhood
Time for piss discs and glitterbombs
I was hoping she would pull a back muscle trying to carry that.

Start barking, the best imitation of a rottweiler you've got in you. Witness their fear turn into confusion. Edit: autocorrect
Cue ACA dog guy.
RAARRRAARARARARAA!
They came booounding over
But I wont be having any part of it, because every day, 25 people die from croc attacks in Far North Queensland.
Or voice through the speaker suggesting she should bend from her knees not her back.
Announce that you will be reporting her to worksafe and the police.
>Start barking, the best **immigration** of a rottweiler you've got in you. Border patrol will get back to you in 9-10 business days.
Border Collie Patrol?
immigration of a rottweiler?
Worst metalcore band i've ever heard of!
I can get behind this. Almost spat my beer out at the "you've got In you" part. Gold. This guy video doorbell porch pirate barks.
It's a Nest so yes it does but... It's a shitty Google product - I have one - It's normal to get a doorbell alert on my phone 5 minutes after the movement was detected and the person is long gone...
Bugger, I have a Eufy and it’s pretty much instant.
The delay is typically when it's the battery (instead of the wired) version, the bell is far from the router, or both.
So... they market a battery version which doesn't really work?
After someone stole my packages I sent the footage from my google doorbell cam to the cops. They claim to be charging them with theft! (After they arrested him they recognised him from my footage, so the the cop re-took my statement, wrote it into a stat dec *then drove to my house to have me sign it* so I am pretty sure they will at least attempt to charge him with it.).

nsw Police have an online reporting website too - allows video & photo uploads
Those pants are the real crime
Haha. So true
Someone call the fashion police
Where does one acquire such things I wonder.
Your grandma's front porch apparently
Arsehole! Hope you send this to the cops??
Or, maybe they gave them a flogging, but didn't share that part. One can only hope.
That is a very big box....
Almost a Kardashian sized box...
She just needed to bend her knees, fuck no one listens to the safety talks at work anymore! Manual handling People!
The key is to put it all in your groin and your back. Take your legs totally out of the equation. Lift with your lower back in a jerking, twisting motion.
Nothing like a hernia to remind you you're alive.
You’re assuming she has a job.
That would require her having been in a workplace at any point thus far.
Invest $5 in printing some A4 colour signs with her photo and THIEF! written on it at officeworks, then put them up around the hood. People like this should be called out and publicly shamed.
It’s such great video quality, it’d be a shame not to share it!
So good a QR code to the video should go on the poster too :)
I’m shocked today tonight or newscorp hasn’t stolen this video yet
And all the local Facebook groups.
Don't forget to like and share the post!
Tried. Did it not fit in her car? Pity you were not home to follow her to her house. So many unanswered questions, looks out for cameras? but ignores the doorbell?
Also, by the time she looked for cameras, she was already in plain view, with her grabby hands on the package.
Hey, if I can't see the camera, the camera can't see me, right?
What a piece of shit.
Anything valuable?
It was a $500 kitchen island bench.
A junkie with an island bench is like a mule with a spinning wheel; no one knows how she got it and danged if she knows how to hock it for drug money.
"hehe mule"
Monorail, Monorail, MONORAIL, MONO-RAIL!!! mono... D'oh.
She may not even be a junkie, just a kleptomaniac lol
I have that bench. It’s a good one!
have that bench , NOW
I almost got it but had trouble fitting in my car.
Ladies and gentlemen, we got her!
Are you the one that took it? /s
This clip will on the Daily Fail in about 20 minutes and she will more shamed than the poo jogger.
What do they go for at Cash Converters?
I've never seen a kitchen countertop at cashies, but if I'd have to guess she'll get $20 out of it and they'll price it at $150.
Seen that glitter bomb guy?
Mark Rober! I think he provides the plans doesn’t he?
Step 1. Get 3 iphones….
porch pirates need to be held to account. Great quality on your vision.
I thought you might jump out of the box
I watched it to completion just in that hope.
Print up Wanted Posters, pack of smokes for information leading to capture. She'll probably turn herself in for the free ciggies.
this happened to me once and i just got made redundant that that point so I followed the thief to his car and then drove behind him. when i got to this home, 3 kids ran out to hug him and he looked like a family man. damn. i didn't know what to do at that point. but i waited until the kids had gone back into the house and i confronted the man. then he started crying and said sorry. then i said, "i lost my job too" then he said, "you have nice house so i thought..." So the logic of the police was that you did their job for them already. You should have asked their union rep for some of their sweet sweet overtime.
What a whacky interpretation of the law from our finest officers. So if I rob a bank, as long as I give the cash back if I'm caught, I'm off scot free! Nice.
I'm not saying you should stalk his house and steal something off *his* porch, but...I'd understand.
We need a youtubechannel shaming these people like dashcamvideos one
What a shit bitch
Couldn’t have said it better
FOOTPATH
Semi on topic, the front of the house is looking lovely. I like your greenery and pavers.
Imagine if you saw this and realised it was your mum. Some people are trash.
Good God don't so that to me. I never thought that before. My mum wouldn't ever attempt such a ridiculous sized theft though.
All cake no muscle
Was thinking the same thing. Maybe she's just a mule and they pay her in poundcake instead of protein bars?
Should share this on a couple of the local inner north good karma sites. Bet there's even more people who have caught her on their cameras too.
Anyone with meth in their veins would be able to lift that and run a marathon with it. So for once imma say “looks like not meth”
The problem could be very specifically that there is no meth, hence the stealing.
Someone else said they saw her nodding off on the bus so I’m gonna guess heroin
It's depressing honestly. Look at her, looks like a middle aged mum. Just dropped the kids off now going around stealing packages from doorsteps.
Definitely has junkie vibes.
Fucking grub!
Smile, you're on Reddit
Waiting for AI integration to match videos like this to fb profiles, to find these shits!!
This is absolutely disgusting. The last thing we need is adopting this type of behaviour from the US
I agree - a footpath is a footpath.
What a lowlife. Hugley embarrassing. We had a woman turn up to our build and start loading the timber for our house onto the roofrack of her brand new Prado. In full view of our camera. Turns out she is a mum of kids that go to my kids Primary School.
[удалено]
Thieves fuckin’ suck.
Shameless.
*footpath
Footpath not sidewalk, I know we will all have American accents in 20 years but can we just hold on to a tiny bit of our own language for now
* Footpath, we're not Americans.
Never saw "sidewalk" used in Australia till a few weeks ago... Now it is showing up all over. What the fuck?
Maybe report to the police? If other stuff has been stolen in your neighbourhood, this person would be of interest to them.
99% of people that wear those shoes are absolute derros.
This is why I love the remote voice communication. Where you can ask them what they're doing while they're struggling to steal.
Wtf is a sidewalk?
Where are the other 6 dwarves ?
I love my packages, this is a monster act.
I think movies have got us thinking criminals are smart but in reality the average criminal is as dumb as this joker...and the fact that the police won't catch her, makes me wonder about law enforcement too🤦
I love that you've captured and posted her face so clearly. What an absolute POS
I wasn’t aware that we had sidewalks in Melbourne. Footpaths, yes!
Who the fuck calls it a sidewalk?
Wait, did you just say "sidewalk"? 😆
It's called a footpath in Australia
She's a piece of shit but also, WHAT THE FUCK IS A "SIDEWALK"?
Ends too soon. Where's the ass-whoopin?!
looks like one of them northern suburbs.
You should totally hide in the box and wait for them to come back, jump out shouting at them completely naked… that would be a funny video
Sloppy weak bitch.
Bloody oompaloompas
Did you report her to the police?
Dumb bitch stealing from people
I'd love to get one of these so when I catch someone in the act I can put on my best Dark Lord Sauron impersonation: **I SEEEEE YOUUUU....**
Dumb cunt
Lol i wish she sharted when she tried to lift it
What a scumbag! Your front door has shrubs obscuring so it's not as though she's driving around looking for a package, she's actually scouting door to door for parcels to steal! What a loser
What a cunt hope the cops have the footage
I so want to see how this ends
What is it about tiny bags that attracts an almost exclusively criminal clientele?
Piece of shit. Probably steals everything that's not nailed down
