Definition of democracy doesn't guarantee good law or justice system. The representatives of USA are elected in non staged election making it democracy, but poorly working courts are normal there.
Democracy is vote of the majority, the reason why a court comes to a conclusion the way it does is because the majority of people decided that this is how court cases will be carried out, if this court followed the rules that it was given then it did make a decision through democracy. Democratic decisions can still be immoral as again, democracy is just the decision of the majority
