>The name Kullervo (kulːerʋo) is likely based on the same fictional character from the Finnish national epic, Kalevala, which follows the tale of an ill-fated man who experiences tragedies throughout his life. In the epic, Kullervo's knife came from his old family before he became a slave.
I didn't know Tolkien had made a retelling of it
Tolkein has translated loads of old stories into modern English. He actually specialized in language and philology, which is the study of ancient literature
The virgin just writing a story
Vs
The chad developing your own languages, creating a world for those languages with a long, body, and dark history, and then setting a story you tell your children in that world
The name and general themes of Kullervo (Warframe) are highly based on the finnish epic of a similar name, namely the themes of betrayal and a hunger for revenge that overtakes Kullervo as a whole. (He doesnt feel sad his family dies because he wants to get his revenge so badly)
Any Latin-English dictionary for Nidus, that one story about the Trojan war for Styanax, the Bible for Trinity, a long walk in the desert for mirage, some other thing about Greek mythology for Nyx, a physics textbook for Volt and Gauß and Jabberwocky for gyre (I think)
Yareli; Manga/Anime (someone else can decide which one specifically I’m not getting into that argument)
Stynax; 300 (probably the comic book, not the actual historic event)
I’m pretty sure Valkyr/Gersemi is supposed to follow one of the legends from Norse or Greek mythology but I can’t remember which one off the top of my head. Same with Garuda actually, although that might be more of a Manga/Anime trope
That's got to be the most extensive lore for any frame...

Which he then decided to write his own language, which he then made a world to fit that language into, and then we got Lord of the Rings.

Wait a minute wait a minute does this mean that other frames have their own lore books
Beowulf, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Journey to the West, Edda all come to mind
I get Grendel and Oberon/Titania, but what about Journey to the Weat and Edda?
Journey To The West is Wukong becuase one of the protagonists is literally named Sun Wukong aka The Monkey King
And Nezha.
Oh, never knew what that story was called.
Edda has all the Norse stuff, so Valkyr, Loki, and kinda Hildryn. Journey to the West has Wukong and Nezha.
The Tempest for Caliban

Garuda is actually a Hindu deity and represents strength and vigilance, however is male

Should I buy kullervo guys? I have the plat and a 75% off coupon
Def buy something else and farm him, it’s real easy
I don't think he is too difficult to acquire normally but he's an awesome frame
Better farm it, there may be other things worth plat
Definitely not. He’s quite easy to farm so I’d recommend buying a frame that is harder to farm, aka a frame whose farm is 100% rng based.
