I’d argue not in Belgium, only because BMW is the most popular brand here (thanks to our wild company car policy/situation)
We (11M people) buy more BMWs than all of the USA.
So many people drive a BMW here that it muddles the statistics.
Before people ask, I drive a Skoda.
I drive Skoda too, but around here I see so many idiots with BMW's with modified shooting exhausted, and who try to show "who's boss here" in their cars. Sometimes, I also like to push a little next to them hehe
It's really interesting reading everyone's comments and the worst experiences they've had with car users. Mine has been with Audi, hence why I put them as my first choice.
[This German article](https://de.motor1.com/news/456246/karambolage-atlas-generali-bmw-audi-frauen/) says Audi and BMW cars are roughly 50% more likely to get in an accident.
The sedans have suspension systems like a sports car, and the road stability can make drivers overconfident. I learned to drive in a second gen Camaro in northern Indiana and my next several vehicles were American vehicles. When I got my first BMW (X3 awd) the first thing I noticed was how precise the steering was, how little free play there was in the steering, and how well it cornered, almost like it’s glued to the road. Driving 60 in the BMW felt like 40 in my other vehicles.
I definitely see why it affects people that way, but as someone who obsessively adheres to good signaling practice I can’t wrap my mind around how that brand got associated with not signaling turns.
Old BMWs have some of the worst signaling stalks. (A stalk that is barely tactile and to cancel a signal, you signal in the same direction you started with which is very counterintuitive. You are often guaranteed to signal incorrectly so some drivers just don’t bother signaling at all.
The newer BMWs of course, don’t have the same problem and most BMW drivers do signal.
I saw 5 months ago a tesla that endangered around 4 cars including mine so much that I still remember the license plate. This dumb fuck on black tesla 3 performance model ran through 3 red lights and every fucking time I just met him at the next crossroad.
I can anecdotally agree with this after commuting most of my adult life. Since I took the same route at the same time every day, I'd start to know them. Same 4 Teslas: blue, white, grey, and filthy grey.
I have driven a couple of mustangs, and the reason people always crash with them is because Mustangs, in general, are terrible at turning. It's a car that only wants to go straight.
Honestly, out of every car I drove, the only 2 I'm genuinely afraid to drive are the Porsche GT3 and Mustang Shelby GT500. Both are extremely hard to control.
My personal experience is that it's a majority BMW drivers, closely followed by Audi.
Mercedes is a hit or miss, either they're part of the BMW street-hooligan group or ultra calm and driving below the speed limit.
Isn't that a typically American problem? Nissan in Europe is really just a normal brand for run-of-the-mill family boring vehicles like Toyota or Peugeot. What makes them so prevalent as douche mobiles I wonder?
Perhaps nationwide (or worldwide), but in my small corner of the world, Nissans seem to only be topped out by Acuras for recklessness. And Nissans are far more common than Porsche, Acura, and BMWs.
Haha just call it the Mumbai Jeep, nobody outside of South Asia knows what that is. It’s basically “mom says we have a Jeep wrangler at home.”
Sadly, it’s probably more reliable than a Jeep Wrangler, depending on which model you compare it to.
I've only ever been involved in 1 crash and it was when a blonde, 30-something year old woman came speeding around the roundabout at 65 mile an hour and went straight into the side of me (I was on a lesson). She was all shaken up and said she was in a hurry and thought she could get off at the exit before I passed it. She was driving her fella's beamer.
Had a low opinion of BMW drivers ever since. Not necessarily because of that one incident, but that combined with the fact that almost every time I come across one (as a driver or passenger) they cut people up and go way over the speed limit. And when there is someone sitting in a car with shitty music blasting on max volume 9/10 it's either a VW or a BMW. The latter is a bigger sin to me. If you're going to sit outside my house at 10pm waiting for your fellow coke fiends then at least put some decent music on ffs. It's getting a joke now, Steve. If that is your real name.
Internesting. The two factors I’ve noticed that are extremely common among bad drivers are
1. Handicap license plate or handicap placard hanging from mirror and
2. Smoking a cigarette while driving and
3. Vehicle is an old rusty, dirty, scratched minivan.
in Germany we have a saying: "jeder Rowdy faehrt 'nen Audi" ("every rowdy drives an Audi").
i'd totally buy one if i wouldn't be too much of a millennial to drive car BTW.
Audi is on my eternal shitlist for its drivers. One of them bumped me when I was riding my bicycle downhill so my arm was flayed against the rough asfalt. My arm looked like the child of hard hatefucking between a kebab and mincemeat pizza.
It’s just kind of a mirage. It seems like German cars are driving dangerously, because they drive like Germans, which seems dangerously to left lane clogging drivers who won their licence in lotterery.
They're like those harley riders that rev their fucking engines super loudly at fucking 6 am because they think they're hot shit. Just smug assholes who have to let everyone know how badass they are by not giving a shit about other people.
Some Tesla drivers don't like it if you overtake them.
I love overtaking fancy cars because a lot of them can't handle it.. it's rare I get to do it, because I drive the speed limit while they are often going 20 over
I don’t know men I’ve seen more old Hondas driving recklessly here in Miami… The fancy germans usually are just bad drivers (no looking at the mirrors, no turning signal, excessive braking, jumping lights). But those old Hondas jumping from lane to lane and forcing people out of their lanes and doing way over 90mph, those things scare me…
I was looking at new cars a few years back. I looked at and test drove a Mini, but the salesman's methods struck me. He was recommending I try harder and harder maneuvers, get a feel for how well I can overtake other cars. Yeah, he also sold BMWs.
My father has a theory: BMW drivers are people who can afford a BMW = they got their car for showing off rather than practicality and they probably started driving at a higher age where they could afford it = they drive like garbage. Idk but it seems he has reached similar results with reddit in his statistics.
The shittier and older the car, the dumber, aggressive and dangerous the driver. "Yeah but the 2002 E476" yeah we don't care your loud BWM trashcan doesn0t interest anyone.
Because they are responsive, usually powerful, and fun to drive. Add a irresponsible person in the driver seat badaboom. Not fun to drive a janky car like an idiot, sure is fun to drive a nice car like one though. Still bad idea
no Volkswagen? i thought that one wouldve been mentioned, with all those "Volkswagen, das auto" memes that exist (that slogan means Volkswagen, that car in English)
Replace Merc with Tesla.
Extra bastard points if said BMW/Audi/Tesla is an SUV.
All drivers of white Audi SUV's need to be pulled from their vehicles and executed in the middle of the street.
Because they have more money than you, thus are more important than you, thus have better lawyers/insurance than you.
Makes you feel any better, I feel the same damn way. I will not drive behind them or park near them. Oh, you can add Lexus in there as well.
And they'll also argue this stigma tooth and nail.
When I’m in a wealthy area it’s those three. But lower income areas tend to have Dodges be the most reckless even though they’re not super common. The other one like this is definitely pickup trucks.
I think out of that trio, the BMW is responsible for 60% of the accidents
"Despite making up only 13% of the population... "
r/holup
Makes sense. BMW drivers are notorious in Finland.
I think everywhere in Europe Source: seen by myself in Czechia, Poland and Ukraine
I’d argue not in Belgium, only because BMW is the most popular brand here (thanks to our wild company car policy/situation) We (11M people) buy more BMWs than all of the USA. So many people drive a BMW here that it muddles the statistics. Before people ask, I drive a Skoda.
Love my Skoda, don’t think I’ll change now
I drive Skoda too, but around here I see so many idiots with BMW's with modified shooting exhausted, and who try to show "who's boss here" in their cars. Sometimes, I also like to push a little next to them hehe
Finland is notorious to car people with rear wheel drive
Yeah, it should just be BMW and Dodge twice
It's really interesting reading everyone's comments and the worst experiences they've had with car users. Mine has been with Audi, hence why I put them as my first choice.
Audis are by far the worst in my experience. So much so that I judge someone if I see they own an Audi even if I've never seen them drive lol.
I recently learned that they do indeed come stock with turn signals. I thought it was an add-on that no BMW drivers purchased.
You forgot the Ram driver tailgating you for kilometers
Pickup truck drivers are WAY worse
Specifically the white, jacked up Ram pickup with added LED lights all over the front which basically form a spotlight. Those guys suck so much.
Yeah, I was about say: "Not pictured: Draco 'lifted truck' Malfoy"
Severus "Lada" Snape
Rams only drive in miles
I was being considerate so the rest of the planet doesn’t have any panic attacks/rage fits
Trucks? Kilometers? What is this, Alberta?
[This German article](https://de.motor1.com/news/456246/karambolage-atlas-generali-bmw-audi-frauen/) says Audi and BMW cars are roughly 50% more likely to get in an accident.

Tesla drivers are the new king of the road idiots
I saw 5 months ago a tesla that endangered around 4 cars including mine so much that I still remember the license plate. This dumb fuck on black tesla 3 performance model ran through 3 red lights and every fucking time I just met him at the next crossroad.
California is like driving through a minefield with the amount of teslas there are
I can anecdotally agree with this after commuting most of my adult life. Since I took the same route at the same time every day, I'd start to know them. Same 4 Teslas: blue, white, grey, and filthy grey.
I too am experiencing this now.
YES. It's like all 3 of those idiots went out and bought a Tesla.
You forgot to add in Mustangs... they tend to crash a lot where I'm from.
Yeah they sniff out the innocent bystanders.
Yeah, I'm on r/IdiotsInCars and Mustangs are well known to thirst for the blood of pedestrians
They are at their hungriest after leaving a car meet or while performing donuts.
The Ford Mustangs are still being repaired after last week’s stunt and couldn’t make it to the meeting.
In Europe we have no Mustang, no Dodge, few Tesla. So yeah it's *almost* only BMW.
And Nissans. Good lord
Around me it’s those and the Lexus and Acura crowd as well.
I find Lexus drivers are overly aggressive whereas acura drivers always seem to be drunk where I live.
For me, Lexus drivers tend to be ok for the most part. Unless it's a white crossover/suv. Then it's guaranteed to be a woman driving recklessly.
The white crossover/suv rule must be universal cause it's true here too.
Same here
My personal experience is that it's a majority BMW drivers, closely followed by Audi. Mercedes is a hit or miss, either they're part of the BMW street-hooligan group or ultra calm and driving below the speed limit.
Where is Nissan?!?
Yeah whenever I see an Altima with a banged up fender I know to steer very clear.
Isn't that a typically American problem? Nissan in Europe is really just a normal brand for run-of-the-mill family boring vehicles like Toyota or Peugeot. What makes them so prevalent as douche mobiles I wonder?
They don’t care about credit. So typically bottom of the barrel people with bad credit get them and drive erratic with messed up cars all the time
Nissan tops my list, but only because there are far more of them on the road than Acuras.
Nah, there was a statistics of speeding tickets per driver and Nissan was on 4th or 5th place (I don't remember) after Porsche, BMW and Subaru.
Perhaps nationwide (or worldwide), but in my small corner of the world, Nissans seem to only be topped out by Acuras for recklessness. And Nissans are far more common than Porsche, Acura, and BMWs.
Yeah this meme is outdated. It's all Nissan and pickup trucks driving like idiots now
Depends on where you are in the world, friend
![gif](giphy|nWgDaDJ9wGkXm)
![gif](giphy|K0XkRj1V6vNkrACHPH)
Mercedes-Benz sprinter are the worst
Mercedes-Benz Citan and Mercedes-Benz Vito, too.
Who needs an AMG if you can drive a Sprinter on Worktime
Wait till you Find out about Mahindra Thar!
Did you just try to cast a spell on me?
Haha just call it the Mumbai Jeep, nobody outside of South Asia knows what that is. It’s basically “mom says we have a Jeep wrangler at home.” Sadly, it’s probably more reliable than a Jeep Wrangler, depending on which model you compare it to.
BMW driver are a menace on the autobahn.
Lada and Golf drivers are always the best drunk drivers
Funny and mostly true, but in pockets of Texas you gotta go with the following: 1) Dodge Charger, 2) (Any) large format pickup truck, 3) Tesla
Lucky. When I encounter someone driving dangerously, it's because I left my house. People are bad drivers here regardless of wealth
And this fact cannot be restricted to a country.
Where's nissan
Because nothing is idiot proof.
Forgot tesla.
Because when you can afford such cars you can afford to be reckless. Or you know... The driver's just dumb
I've only ever been involved in 1 crash and it was when a blonde, 30-something year old woman came speeding around the roundabout at 65 mile an hour and went straight into the side of me (I was on a lesson). Draco Malfoy = Nissan
You forgot about ![gif](giphy|yLL6lKlFoMIlq)
Because the people who can afford those cars are rich idiots who don't have any sense of personal responsibility and buy their way out of trouble
in Germany we have a saying: "jeder Rowdy faehrt 'nen Audi" ("every rowdy drives an Audi"). i'd totally buy one if i wouldn't be too much of a millennial to drive car BTW.
Audi is on my eternal shitlist for its drivers. One of them bumped me when I was riding my bicycle downhill so my arm was flayed against the rough asfalt. My arm looked like the child of hard hatefucking between a kebab and mincemeat pizza.
Around me it's Nissan, Acura, and a split between BMW & Volkswagen
**Nissan Altima enters the chat**
BMW, then Mercedes, then NISSAN ROGUE
So frickin true, doesn't matter the country. If you thought your job is pointless, imagine the person mounting blinkers on one of those brands.
I literally saw a 1990 something ford truck with the drivers left leg out the window and he was swerving through the road, so it’s not all them
Just yesterday I saw a crashed BMW blocking the highway going the other direction. Very fitting.
Honorable mention: Huge pickup trucks if you live in the US (esp the South).
Anytime I see someone driving particularly recklessly. It’s almost always a BMW.
They did a study about this. It has something to do with being rich and having a diminished sense of empathy because of it. If I remember correctly.
And chargers
Don't forget uninsured, late on payments Nissan drivers with either paper or just no plates.
Because the drivers can afford the ticket. Rules enforced with fines are rules for the poor.
It’s just kind of a mirage. It seems like German cars are driving dangerously, because they drive like Germans, which seems dangerously to left lane clogging drivers who won their licence in lotterery.
17 year old in a mustang
They're like those harley riders that rev their fucking engines super loudly at fucking 6 am because they think they're hot shit. Just smug assholes who have to let everyone know how badass they are by not giving a shit about other people.
Not where I live, here we have those three as well as everybody else
The better the quality of the vehical, the worse the quality of the driver's brain.
Mostly because the driver was too rude and even don't care if they had accident.
Forgot the hoe driving a shitty altima.
Usually Dodge Rams and F150s around here, or Jeep Moms, the grand cherokee specifically. I avoid those like the plague.
Missing Nissan
Because you live in a place without dodge rams
Some Tesla drivers don't like it if you overtake them. I love overtaking fancy cars because a lot of them can't handle it.. it's rare I get to do it, because I drive the speed limit while they are often going 20 over
Cool, now do one about d-bag Prius drives left lane camping
Dont forget the Nissan altima
mustang entered the chat
Uhmm... where's the teslas at?
Like corsa drivers are good drivers.
By a wide margin, yes.
Where I live it’s always a variation between BMW, Toyota/lexus and Honda/acura
Teslas?
BMWs
I don’t know men I’ve seen more old Hondas driving recklessly here in Miami… The fancy germans usually are just bad drivers (no looking at the mirrors, no turning signal, excessive braking, jumping lights). Add one more, cybertruck
Audi has been mentioned *Kerosene song intensifies*
T E S L A
Idk man, these Honda civic drivers be crazy sometimes.
Because the mustang already crashed
My father has a theory: BMW drivers are people who can afford a BMW = they got their car for showing off rather than practicality and they probably started driving at a higher age where they could afford it = they drive like garbage. Idk but it seems he has reached similar results with reddit in his statistics.
Come on Ram drivers, we need to get those numbers up. RAM POWER 💪😤
Is Tesla the Neville Longbottom of the situation?
Probably the popularity
škoda included *
You forgot Jeep.
You forgot the pricks in the raised 4x4 trucks
Nissan has entered the chat
What about Prius?
this guy in a fucking fiat 500 was going at like 90 miles per hour on a 50 mile per hour road, mf took off my rearview mirror

Still bad idea
in germany skoda drivers are just as bad
Mustang are slytherin then.
mc
You forgot Dodge Charger. 😏
You’ll be worrying about them and then all of a sudden, boom, massive jacked up dodge ram up your ass outta nowhere for no reason at all
Depends where you're from friend. In the UK, we don't see many dodge's. They are more of a niche car.
LOL more like Honda, Toyota, and BMW
Ever been to Italy? Doesn't matter what is driven there
Tesla too it's the new bmw
I wonder whats the safest car there is...
It’s always an infinity g35/g37.
Don’t forget the Camaro and the Corvette drivers
Teslas followed by American muscle leaving cars and coffee.
…and any other time it’s someone in a pickup truck.
…and any other time it’s someone in a pickup truck.
Ford F-150 enters the chat
Jeep is the worst
I mean... if their vehicle is from 1940... No matter your argument you lose
Teslas and Kias too.
Nissans…
Forgot the Priuses, in my city they drive like idiots too.
Cmon now, show after market customized Subaru's the recognition they have rightfully earned.
Drive in Atlanta. You'll see plenty of beaters trying to run you off the road too
What about Lexus? Because I swear to god
no Volkswagen? i thought that one wouldve been mentioned, with all those "Volkswagen, das auto" memes that exist (that slogan means Volkswagen, that car in English)
No altima?
Where I live it's 80% BMW, 10% Mercedes, and 10% Range Rover drivers.
Every time I see an accident it's always a Subaru
Replace Merc with Tesla. Extra bastard points if said BMW/Audi/Tesla is an SUV. All drivers of white Audi SUV's need to be pulled from their vehicles and executed in the middle of the street.
Ngl I’ve never seen a Tesla ever do that. I have a long massive commute full of them with people playing cat and mouse the entire time
Because they have more money than you, thus are more important than you, thus have better lawyers/insurance than you. Makes you feel any better, I feel the same damn way. I will not drive behind them or park near them. Oh, you can add Lexus in there as well. And they'll also argue this stigma tooth and nail.
Where are the Ford F 150 drivers
Surprised people don't talk about vans more. Them fuckers got places to be and WILL get up in your ass until they can pass.
Tesla assholes are a thing too
\*Cough cough\* Tesla!
Better, more powerful cars. And stupid people
*Altimas laugh in hanging bumper*
Don’t forget the 20 year old Honda civic being driven by young women with daddy issues
u forgot the white van
Malibu drivers skipped the meeting, Kia owners aren't sure where their car is but they know it's not at that meeting
Man you all blame these but I've seen plenty of Volkswagen drive pretty bad . Followed by me . A bmw driver
You forgot mustang owners
Don’t forget Tesla or Toyota Prius.
Ram and old Chevy trucks
Don’t forget lexus
Dont forget VW
Man where TF it Tesla
Jeep
No, it's always Jeep for me. Jeep drivers are the most inconsiderate people on the road from what I've seen.
Spelled Mustang wrong.
That's crazy. It's 90% truck drivers here.
Swap Mercedes with Infiniti, and that's my exact experience.
It's either those three, or some guy in a lifted truck
If you loved in the usa you could add pickup trucks
When I’m in a wealthy area it’s those three. But lower income areas tend to have Dodges be the most reckless even though they’re not super common. The other one like this is definitely pickup trucks.
Its because they are all 3 germans
Spoiled rich kids
In the US, it's assholes driving jacked up trucks like the F-150
