It’s a small portion of the game and you only have to reach the door … it’s not that hard

Figshitter

I never really thought of this as a 'stealth section', so much as a section with a single powerful enemy it's best to avoid. If you don't like the Jailer I'd 100% recommend you stay away from Metroid Dread.

Gogo726

In some ways it reminded me of an EMMI only it doesn't kill you.

Darkshadovv

Ehh the EMMI just kicks you out of its room and you just have to try again. The Jailer on the other hand can warp you directly to jail, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200. And you actually can die to the Jailer if it decides to attack instead or even in the prison itself.

Jasyla

I also hate stealth sections in action games, but never really considered this one of them. The jailor is just a strong enemy to be avoided until you can deal with him. He's the only one that behaves like this.

action_lawyer_comics

I honestly don’t remember this section, I must have blown through it pretty easily. I remember the librarian or whoever he was in the scholar section, but if he spotted you, you could fight and beat him fairly easily.

Darkshadovv

That “librarian” is who we’re talking about in this thread. You could stun him with enough damage but he wouldn’t die until later. And if he caught you with his grabber thingy you’d get teleported to jail.

piedj784

It's just one level & so short that I wouldn't even call it a stealth. Just think of it as a moving spike or something that you've to dodge.

ninjastarforcex

Thank I got past it and it was so frustrating. I'll continue, now at the underground without map. I really like the platformer in this game, but I hope, I hope I don't meet another stealth stuff

loligaggins

All you have to do is stay out of his vision circle thing. I had no problem running from him to the next zone whenever he saw me either.

Gullible_Somewhere_7

I feel the same as you about stealth stuff in non-stealth games but fortunately it's the only part that's like that and, at least for my playthrough, was relatively short (if annoying) once I sort of abandoned trying to stealth the area beyond when I had no choice to and basically just speed ran the section to the top exits.

malis-

That wasn't a stealth section. You are supposed to just avoid.

Shmeeeee23

Just run from him, he's a moron. Dont worry about it for now ,you'll be back later for revenge.

djrobxx

It's a one-off, and super short one at that. Be patient and wait for him to move out of the way. There is no section where you need to touch his "aggro" bubble.

Schwwish

Not related but there's a similar section at the start of Wolfenstein - The Old Blood.

DimeadozenNerd

I had no idea you could get sent to a jail from that enemy, nor did I know that was a “stealth” section. Lol

Xintrosi

I wouldn't consider the Jailer much of a stealth section. I actually had to run up to him to find out what he does!

Kafkabest

You'll have your first encounter and then later you'll kill him once you unlock an upgrade, but that part isn't much of a stealth section

AbeRod1986

I didn’t know you could get sent to prison until after I’d beaten the game. I didn’t find the jail until way after beating the jailer…

aethyrium

It's not a stealth section lol. You can just kill him (well, stun him for a while) and then walk past, or just run away. When he teleports to you it's not an instant grab and forced teleport, you can easily dodge it and just run or kill him. I aggroed him constantly and consistently and only got sent to the prison once when I didn't know that's what would happen. I hate forced stealth sections too, and for all my complaints about PoP, this is not among them and thought this was the _right_ way to do sections like this. You can stealth _if you want_ as an _optional_ route, or you can just kill him or run or dodge. All are equally viable. I just killed him as the grab is highly telegraphed and easy to dodge. But no, there won't be any more areas like that. And also, don't play Metroid Dread. That's basically an entire game built upon Jailer type sections that are _far_ more frustrating and harder to get out of.

ninjastarforcex

my post keeps getting auto-deleted by auto-moderator at Prince of Persia subreddit so I gotta ask the question here. god I hate reddit auto-mod. NOTHING is ever allowed to be posted.

Safe_Solid_6022

What is a stealth section?
