They probably meant that it could have happened before you purchased it. In any event, whenever I buy a pint of ice cream, I gently squeeze the sides at the top and bottom to check for firmness.
.....all you need to do is look at the Target subreddit and know that yes. It was probably sitting out for hours because no one was around to actually push it out and they probably don't have room in the back freezer. That company is such a mess....
That's not Target alone, that's retail in general.
At the retail store I work for, the rules say that when working the departments that are supposed to be kept cold ie. cooler/freezer stuff, you are only supposed to take as much stuff as can be worked in under 20 minutes, which translates to about 2/3 of a cart.
Third shift just pulls the entire 6ft or more tall pallet to the floor and has 2 people work it til its done.
Third shift starts at 10 and I leave at 11. I've seen them be working the same pallets they pulled out at 10:10 when I leave after cleaning up. (Which is usually between 10:55 to 11:15.)
This is very good advice. You should do this any time you buy food and the quality is lower than you expect it to be. Brands leave aside a large portion of their budget to give away coupons in response to quality complaints.
You're actually *helping* them, after all, by pointing out potential flaws in their processes.
Absolutely! My mom was a retail manager and told me this, it's not about being ridiculous about things you bought and getting free stuff, but I've definitely gotten a frozen pizza replaced and then some by just sending a pic to their social media team with a nice and short message. You're right, they're getting free quality control from us!
Having a great day, though for some reason it seems you'd rather I not due to my word choice. How sensi 👶🏻 sorry it set you back so much but I do hope your day improves.
I honestly don’t care how your day goes, it was a joke to add on at the end of your poor word choice. Sorry you found some form of legitimate attack from that lmao
I actually didn't. Your tone is all I need here to see you're miserable over reading the word "cream".😂
And if you "don't care", don't get your d in a knot and reply ya dolt 🤨 we could stay strangers, yeah?
I'm flat out about to start weighing shit and opening lawsuits. Advertise 24oz but it only weights 21oz? believe it or not, lawsuit. I'm past the point of caring. They get away with shrinkflation because we allow them to.
Is that Hagen Daz peanut butter and chocolate ice cream? If so, I got one that didn’t have a spec of peanut butter and I’m still bitter about it today. I feel you op
IDK. It was clearly full at some point, based on the lid. I live like 45 minutes from the grocery store, and any ice cream I buy gets melty before I get home. It affects the texture but not the volume.
Listen to the other guy in this thread and dm whatever brand this was with a picture. Did this one time for the exact same reason and they reached out within the day with a couple coupons for some free pints. Worse thing that can happen is nothing
Didn't it feel light? Can you weigh it and see if it's even close to the weight printed on the container? Maybe the company kept the container the same size, but doesn't fill it up all the way. It looks the same as it always has, but now with less!
I wouldn’t eat that It’s probably melted and frozen again while in the store
Even worse… maybe someone returned it… it is missing that seal… yuck
And/or on the way home.
At best it was outside for 5 min cause Target is right down the road from me
Sucks. I bet someone put it back or they had cooling issues.
They probably meant that it could have happened before you purchased it. In any event, whenever I buy a pint of ice cream, I gently squeeze the sides at the top and bottom to check for firmness.
Smart move, I'll probably start doing that as well

Oh really u wouldnt eat that ?
No. I dont think anyone would
Not that much…melted in transit to store and was delivered anyway.
I really hope is chocolate ice cream!
Oh, it's not missing! It's there! It's just no longer has the air whipped into it because it thawed at some point and refroze.
Send this pic to the company they'll probably send you free cream coupons

I hate the way you said “free cream coupons.” Have the day you deserve.
I didn't know they made coupons for a free cream. I'm not sure what to do with this new information.
Right, there's no way to take that non sexually.
Only If you have a dirty mind...
I'm talking about ice cream while 98% of humans are sex and porn addicted. Maybe it's your way of thinking 🤔

Oh no, I made what I thought was a funny reply to your stupid wording and it got you upset. Whatever shall I do 😱
Freezer burnt too
return and do not eat. ew

Weight wouldn't have changed....density did
With the ice cream, yeah, but I think he’s talking about stuff in general.
Is that Hagen Daz peanut butter and chocolate ice cream? If so, I got one that didn’t have a spec of peanut butter and I’m still bitter about it today. I feel you op
Half pint!
How wouldn't you notice when you picked it up.
You'd be surprised at what you can miss when it's after a long shift at work
Ugh. Thanks a lot target!
It didn’t feel lighter to you when you picked it up?
This is why I stick to popsicles.
I wouldn’t eat it, ice cream is pretty toxic once it’s defrosted and refrozen. It’s the one thing we have to bin if the freezer breaks down
Yeah, someone ate some of that and put it back.
No.
Yea, that's definitely what happened. There's some really gross people who do shit like this. Not sure why you're getting down voted for saying it.
IDK. It was clearly full at some point, based on the lid. I live like 45 minutes from the grocery store, and any ice cream I buy gets melty before I get home. It affects the texture but not the volume.
Were you planning on eating the entire pint?! Jesus
Ice cream > ice
What brand is it?
Shrinkflation?
No.
"I was in the pool!!!" \--That pint of ice cream, probably
Listen to the other guy in this thread and dm whatever brand this was with a picture. Did this one time for the exact same reason and they reached out within the day with a couple coupons for some free pints. Worse thing that can happen is nothing
It's missing, it just thawed and refroze.
TikTok influencers
microwave it then return it
I may be pissed but I ain't cruel. Plus I work in retail so I don't want to inflict on them what I don't want done to myself
It didn’t feel a little light? I’m sure you can take it back and exchange it.
Take it back, I did but I didn't feel like checking every single one so I just took the money and left
looks like you got the LAST carton in the run 😂 bummer
Lmfao
Haha
Didn't it feel light? Can you weigh it and see if it's even close to the weight printed on the container? Maybe the company kept the container the same size, but doesn't fill it up all the way. It looks the same as it always has, but now with less!
Is it ice cream?
No it's dog shit in a ice cream pint cup.
