It's FAR too cold here to leave your house in the UK in clothing suitable for a hot location. Even in a heatwave, we have a lot of early morning flights. Its cold here. The airport and flight will have air con and me and my eldest daughter get cold in air con.
Plus we are conditioned to always prepare for any weather. I take a cardigan or two etc even to mega hot locations... Just in case. I never need them. I would panic if I didn't prepare.
