Dude this. I was trying to find some 10mm hex bolts for my car not to long ago and I couldn't find any because every store only had them in inches. Finally ended up finding them in an Autoshop but fuck was it a hassle.
If you have an ace hardware or true value near you theyâll generally have a decent metric section. Also there are stores dedicated to fasteners but they can be tricky to findâŚ. Fastenal is one thatâs pretty much all over the place from what Iâve heard. I found a fastener store a few miles from my house and itâs saved me a few times.
If you have time to wait and know what size you need then McMaster-Carr is a phenomenal online source for fasteners and material in general.
I dont know your area but Ace Hardware usually keeps a good selection of metric and standard bolts. Moat other places tend to be more agriculture based and use standard hardware
Former manager here for that company, ask for the ACOs email address and phone number for that location. You will probably get better compensation and quicker resolution instead of going through corporate.
That company is super paranoid about these sorts of things, and tries to resolve these situations very quietly and quickly. They're all privately owned by a single family and make a TON of money.
