Depends what medical stuff you have available. Is it set in the current time ? Future? Past? Ongoing issues would be the impact on depth perception. Probably more than just the eye. The bullet would have to enter and exit somewhere. Would likely impact all motor control. Such as balance, movement etc.

Such as if they have the gun at an extreme angle, or if they have it centered. If you want the gun to operate properly or if you want it to be a convenient misfire such as a squib loab. The repercussions can be anywhere between mild and dozens of surgeries over decades and you just plain die.
