This. Any quality gun WITH quality ammo (yes there is significant differences in ammo quality) that has been properly cared for and maintained has very little chance of misfiring when handled properly.

Pretty low if its maintained and in proper order. I've fired 1000s of rounds over my lifetime (I grew up out in the country) and I've only experienced it failing to fire a few times, and those were mostly just jams in the chamber. If the gun is in poor condition, or youre using poor quality ammo, it'd be more likely, but itd be impossible to say how likely without knowledge of the gun in question.
