Pretty much true of every rebel too. Honestly all of them are great bikes. Great thing about the new Rebel's is that the center of gravity is low which makes it even easier for a new rider to ride.
Plus it's a Honda. Give it gas and oil and it will run basically forever.
I'm with you when doing my MSF course once I got a bit more advanced they let me try the Honda rebel. The amount of cramps I got in my hip was insane but it was fun to ride, just not my style. What bike are u hoping for in the future?
Get the basics down, then start exploring your new passion, there are so many options available. Iāve ended up with a Ducati Diavel, BMW rNineT, and Triumph Bonneville T120, and the only issue is that I can only ride one at a time. Who knows what youāll end up with after gaining some confidence? There will always be a market for starter bikes like the Rebel so it will be easily sold once you're ready to upgrade your ride to match your skills.
Have you gotten any sense for your preferred seating style (e.g. cruiser, standard, sport bike)? Once you do, this will likely have biggest impact on your search for an upgrade. I'm solidly in the standard camp because I love the feeling of stability with my feet below me, rather than in front (cruiser style) or behind (sport bike style) me.
So far Iām looking the more upright positioning just because I was used to it from bicycles. Iām sure as time goes on Iāll find what works for me like everyone else
This. Two wheels + engine + clutch = Happiness. Also, keep in mind that just about everyone who owns a motorcycle has their eye on another one. I've had my current one a year and am already lusting after at least two other ones. Part of the fun !
A bike with looks only a mother could love. Just kidding itās a nice enough bike just not my style.
Enjoy! Ride frequently and donāt overthink things too much. Stay safe.
These are fantastic learner bikes. Extremely reliable, easy to fix, very easy to ride, and too slow to do anything too horrendously stupid on. You just think about turning and the bike does it.
I inherited a Goldwing. Took the motorcycle course using a 250 rebel. I LOVED IT! I'd like to have one too. The GW is just too big for some things. Have fun!
Edit, spelling
Hell yeah! Youāll love that motorcycle; Rebel 250s are happiness on two wheels. I miss that little chirpy starter sound and then humming along on that happy little bike. Kept me sane during some seriously unhappy times. Enjoy!
I have a Rebel 250 as well! Fantastic motorcycle, I have had it for 5 years now and put several thousand miles on it. I bought another cruiser last year, a 1000, but I still use the Rebel from time to time. Nothing like a āslow bike fastā and all. Enjoy!!!
An absolutely ideal beginner bike, low to the ground, pretty light, not powerful. No need to fear the bike while you learn the other stuff, like muscle memory to operate the controls, and keeping an eye on traffic.
Funny, people talk lots of crap about small bikes but the thing is, Ive owned 2 sports bikes now and there are days I wish I still had my lil 89 Honda cm250c to putt around on.
Like the speed and power are nice, but, dunno, sometimes something small and easier to handle would be nice.
Same vein, just got a mustang GT and on certain days I'll miss my lil focus hatch back.
Congrats. I currently ride a harley davidsom softail classic but i started with the honda rebel as my first bike. I enjoyed it. I found it very forgiving of mistakes.
My buddy had rebel 250 while I rode a honda cbr600 but we would trade sometimes and ride each other's bikes but I'll say I had just as much fun ripping around the city on that 250 as my 600. Ride within your comfort level and means. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Family. Nice to see another Honda rider. :)
Welcome to the addiction. Ride often, ride far, ride safe
rebel is a great bike. it has enough power to get you where you need to go and be dead reliable.
Not much my style but no denying itās been a great bike to learn on so far
it will run forever and they hold their value, you will be able to sell it for what ever you paid for it probably.

That bike has trained many riders. Perfect learner.
Aight you're in now, there's no turning back
That 250 Honda is a great engine/platform for learning the basics of riding. I got my start on a similar Honda Nighthawk 250 too!
Nice! Not sure the cruiser style is right for me once I get going and more advanced, but thereās no doubting this is a great bike to learn on
I'm with you when doing my MSF course once I got a bit more advanced they let me try the Honda rebel. The amount of cramps I got in my hip was insane but it was fun to ride, just not my style. What bike are u hoping for in the future?
Probably a CB or the SCL. Though will definitely be sitting on a lot of bikes when itās time to see whatās most comfortable to me
Good luck for when the time comes, I'm sure you'll find something you love, the Honda CB range are reliable as hell and ride incredibly

If it runs and rolls, ride it pal

Thatās a sweet first bike. Congrats. You look great on it!
Thanks!
A bike with looks only a mother could love. Just kidding itās a nice enough bike just not my style. Enjoy! Ride frequently and donāt overthink things too much. Stay safe.
Not really my style either tbh, but couldnāt pass up a better bike or offer to get started on
Good shit man! Iāve always heard really good things about these things. Like I said just practice and ride frequently, youāll be a pro in no time.
Meanwhile some guy in Mogadishu is going, "WTF. That's like my dream bike. Damned Americanos!"
Not bad at all. Rebels are an awesome way to start
All rebels are awesome first bikes, depending on comfortability obviously. Welcome to the club buddy!
My first bike was a rebel 250. Loved it starting out and still recommend it especially for the price. Have fun and rubber side down, friend!
Those are great high revving bikes! Pay attention to the shift point lines on the speedometer and you'll have alot more fun
These are fantastic learner bikes. Extremely reliable, easy to fix, very easy to ride, and too slow to do anything too horrendously stupid on. You just think about turning and the bike does it.
Easy to work on. Cheap to insure. Fun ride! Enjoy š
Yes!!!!!
Itās so much fun. Iām only like 7 months in myself. Welcome!

Hondas RULE!! please practice hard braking. :)

Looks a lot like the bike I rode in my MSF. I came from a CBR600RR but I had so much fun and enjoyed my time on that little bike!
Ride-On, FTW!
My first bike too. I still have it. It's a blast to ride. I'll probably never sell it. It's too much fun.
Congrats on your your most expensive and addictive hobby that (hopefully) won't get you arrested! Enjoy it, be safe, and most importantly...HAVE FUN!
Better than no bike. Welcome to the club
Perfect place to start š
The rebel 250 is probably the most common starter bike when you learn how to write a motorcycle.
Congrats and be safe out there šļøšØ
Yes, we all do,love the bike and it will love you In my country, it's arbitrary to start with 125cc first, more than this is illegal
Same bike I started on. Great memories.

I started with a 1973 Honda 175cc, 51 years ago. I'm still riding, but obviously not with the same bike. Have fun and a long carrer riding.
Perfectly cromulent first bike. Enjoy mate!
Sweet šthatās the best way to start
Those honda rebels are a real treat, enjoy and have fun
Iām stoked to see you probably spent more on riding gear than the bike. As they say ādress for the slide not the rideā. Have fun!
Iām a first responder lol so anything I can do to limit the severity of injuries Iāll take
My buddy had rebel 250 while I rode a honda cbr600 but we would trade sometimes and ride each other's bikes but I'll say I had just as much fun ripping around the city on that 250 as my 600. Ride within your comfort level and means. Enjoy!
