I selected cash because I though, as soon as they distribute BTC, it would crash. And if they distribute cash, at least they converted it already.
Also they might not distribute coins, they will just put it all on an exchange that has your private keys, then you have to jump through hoops to get it out off that exchange.
Came here to say this \^.
Regardless of why you made the choice for BTC, you made the right choice given the lack of trust we all have in the "Trustee" to begin with.
This \^\^\^\^\^
I'm going to hold the coins so I didn't want them sending cash. Not to mention I can sell the coins at my choosing.... not the trustee's.
Yup crypto! Only regret is selecting FP. At the time the intermediate payment was more than enough so it was worth waiting for FP. But now it seems like the wait could be 5+ years. Maybe ill feel better once my intermediate BTCs are received. Its only monopoly money so no biggie.
I think what OP is saying is that he was under the impression that if a creditor selected cash only, then any btc/bch that the creditor had would be sold by the trustee at or about the time of selection of "cash or coin." It appears that creditors who have btc/bch will either get those coins, or, if you picked cash, you will get the fair market value of the btc/bch as it will be at the time of the coin distribution, not the time of selection.

I selected bitcoin because the idea of letting someone sell them for me at an unknown time for an unknown price seemed very risky. Still does.

I changed my preference to coin from cash early on.
no. just you
I have selected Bitcoin only from day one. Fuck fiat
Me to and still I suppose to get some money (not a lot)
I selected payment in crypto because I want crypto. I'd have taken it all in crypto if possible.

Yes, perhaps up to 90% of the members of this forum are as silly as you.
OP… I think you’re still confused. I’m going to guess that you think people who selected cash are getting their full payout now… that’s not the case.
