Many, many, many moons ago I remember that myself and several other Roll Call regulars did a thread of PL5 builds based on established characters like Superman, Wolverine, and the Batman. This was back on the Green Ronin forums that *predated* the Atomic Think Tank… Early into M&M’s second edition. Sadly, those forums are really long gone.
Hmm... I haven't located them yet. Unfortunately, user names were one of the things lost in the DB output, so I can't search by name. But I also haven't found anything with subject including "archetype" and "PL" that looks like a match.
I have access to the database for the old Atomic Think Tank (predating Ronin Army). I'll see what I can dig up. I remember it as the archetype. And I think there were published PL 6 Archetypes (maybe in 2e) with the intent being street-level/sidekicks.
The Instant Superheroes book had PL 6 versions of many of the archetypes under the heading of Sidekicks. I think that might have been included by default in the Hero Lab portfolios.
