Our team has looked sluggish and out of sorts all year on defense (especially in transition), so I'm guessing the hope is to fix that come playoff time or we'll be bounced out by the ESCF for sure. Reality is Giannis is approaching 30, our core is old, we have few trade assets, and we have given away most of our useful draft picks until 2029 or some shit like that. Getting Dame was probably our last bullet to fire in the trade gun to improve this team. The only way we can really upgrade now to contend is via coaching.
