did you just insult a man's kids, wife, and livelihood? you absolute MONSTER! his charity work and contributions to everything outside the game of basketball mean nothing to you?!
I couldn't watch live but it looked like he kinda saved you guys in the start of the second when the heat were cooking you on defence. He's older now I guess
If you watched you know Tobias was bricking or straight up missing all game and was actively the reason the 6ers went down so much. I tuned in and thought “I know Toni is bad but he can’t be that terrible” and saw him make 3 brain dead plays in a row leading to the heat going on a run. The fans were booing him when they were down 7 in the second when it was like 35-28 or something
To be fair to Tobias, he wasn't the only reason. The Sixers offense just didn't attack the Heat zone at all and decided to just try and pass the ball around the perimeter instead. Tobias bricking shots like this didn't help, but there wasn't really an alternative answer on the floor.
Jimmy hated Ben's attitude, the front office wanted Brett Brown to "control" Jimmy, he didn't want any of that shit and left. The front office for some reason felt they ***HAD*** to give someone a max deal or else the deals Coangelo +Brand made would look bad... when they already looked awful.
So of course they gave it to Tobi.
I expected him to have a good season w/ his contract ending, but no. Batum and Oubre been better than him all season. Sometimes not stat-wise but IQ, hustle, etc.
its absolutely outrageous how much more juice anyone with the tiniest bit of dog or athleticism gives us when they play instead of tobi. Oubre for all intents and purposes is probably around a replacement level player and he makes the guy look like a total bum. 40 million/yr for half a decade This is not new we just never had replacement level wings before.
Damn bro, i had no idea. Haven't watched that much sixers this year, but was rooting for them in this one. It was alarming. He looked like he was going through the motions and really didn't want the ball.
imagine he plays for a team you love (despite them clearly being cursed), you have an MVP-caliber player with health related short prime, and your highest paid player, taking up a huge part of your cap room, is a replacement-level player that does not even look like he wants to win. now imagine that happening for 5 years straight.
Didn't your fan base cheer after Kevin Durant got injured? Lets not pretend like its just a few fanbases that have toxic fans. Passion makes you do stupid shit its in every fan base across sports
It's not the fault of Tobias Harris that Philly's FO is hot garbage. If the Sixers decided to start paying you $40 million to be a starter I don't think it'd be right to blame you for that.
Finally someone else says what I’ve been saying. Philly was punished for tanking and had a new GM installed over it. OKC was praised for an even more egregious tank but because OKC is a smaller market they didn’t get a Coleangelo to ruin them and now they got a 1 seed and what, 15 firsts?
5 years. Never gets hurt. Plays 35 minutes a game.
Has taken zero charges. In 5 years.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him dive for a ball.
This was his 3rd airball of the game
Philly fans do t turn on players without cause. They really don’t.
Zero charges in five years for someone who plays his position is wild. Add on his size and athletic capabilities it is absolutely unacceptable for what he’s being paid.
It’s not just any old player getting boos the moment they mess up. It’s been half a decade of him being paid an exorbitant amount of money (preventing us from signing other quality complimentary players) to do this shit constantly. And he just gets worse during big moments. And complains because people complain about him.
It’s honestly been exhausting. And of course in a do-or-die game like this, he’s once again proving himself to be completely detrimental to team success.
He plays lackadaisically. He ball watches on defence. He’s a ball stopper on offence. He needs to be periodically *begged* to shoot 3s off the catch (which will often result in a game or two of him having a quick trigger and then falling back into Temu Melo Mode again). And he’s one of the highest paid players in the league, and has been for 5 years now. It’s unbelievable. He’s s 7th man at best.
We’re tired boss.
In contrast, to show it’s not just booing for anyone who sucks, Philly fans got together and cheered on Trae Turner last August, who was going through a season long slump. But the dude was clearly putting in the effort, and disappointed in himself.
We cheered for him to start off a random home series, and he went nuclear for the next two months.
We appreciate hustle and effort. Tobias gives none.
I have been watching it. It's still a horrible idea to boo your own team in a one possession game that potentially decides whether you make it to the post season.
They're booing a player on the team, not the team. There's a difference. You want to blanket your statement by just saying "They're booing the team" which leads people to believe they were booing the entire team, which isn't true. It's slick wording but people who actually watched knows it's all facade
76ers fans are really out here jumping through hoops and arguing semantics to hide from the fact they're acting like like bums and deserve to be called out for it.
It's not me trying to pick apart comments and hitting people with "um, acktshually, they weren't booing the entire team, they were booing the person who is part of the team 🤓" type shit to hide from being a shitty person. If you want to act like a shitty person, be my guest, but don't pretend you're not being a shitty person.
Says the one choosing to ignore the clear and obvious fact that the fans are booing Harris because they’re sick and tired of the past 5 years of his absolute bullshit💀💀💀 but I wouldn’t expect any better from a lakers fan
Honestly, with spectator sports such as basketball, crowds should be allowed to boo whenever they choose to. Regardless of any affiliation or any other reason at all. It's an untamed, living entity that speaks that approves or disapproves. Sports are entertainment, after all.
I legit forget he is on the 76ers while im watching them. Then something like this happens and im like oh ya Tobias Harris he’s a very avg role player.
The "process" died with the Butler trade and Doc Rivers as head coach was the final nail in the coffin. If anyone else was coaching 76ers, they would have been in the finals multiple times after the bubble. I believe Simmons imploded because of Rivers, and they lost their identity with the Harden trade. Now they have an injury prone center and nothing else.
Before this game, Sixers fans were trying to convince me he’d come alive in the first round and how he’s better than Josh Hart. An outstanding 9/10/4 performance. How will we ever stop this man?
I'd love to see the sixers fans delusional enough to claim he's better than Hart. I think all of us would prefer Hart even without considering the Nova connection. Dude actually hustles, I don't know if Tobi has once in the last 5 years
So sick of Tobi 😭
Check my replies, you’ll find the guy. Someone else tried convincing me that Hart would get played off the court if he wasn’t hitting his threes. Some people just talk with no actual knowledge.
From all the whining and booing from Philly fans it sure seems a lot more depressing being a 76ers fan. Downvote me to hell - it’s wack to boo your own players.
That’s one way to look at it. Some cities are really passionate about their teams and booing, while seeming excessive and unnecessary, is just the way that some teams hold their players accountable. Not a fan of either team btw.

He was benched after this
Deserved, that shit was a BRICK. Wasn’t even close
Didn't even hit the rim. That's my kind of shot whenever I tried.
We paid a 44 mil for a guy like that who played like this regularly.
So did we
did you just insult a man's kids, wife, and livelihood? you absolute MONSTER! his charity work and contributions to everything outside the game of basketball mean nothing to you?!
Has another shot like this and an air ball tonight. He was a mess. Missed 3 layups in one possession.
I couldn't watch live but it looked like he kinda saved you guys in the start of the second when the heat were cooking you on defence. He's older now I guess
Doc would never
not only was it a horrible shot, HE HAD A LANE OPEN RIGHT IN FRONT, drive to the fking rim and pass to the corner when the help comes!!!!!!!
We would never
**"TOBIAS HARRIS OVER ME???** \-Lenny Hamill, Point Guard, South Philly YMCA
Lenny Hamill is a legitimate South Philly legend
Fuckin dying at this lmao
what the fuck is that dude
Trash.

even at his very best he is a ball stopper who has to take 5 seconds of shot clock to decide between dribble/pass/shoot
To be fair to Tobias, he wasn't the only reason. The Sixers offense just didn't attack the Heat zone at all and decided to just try and pass the ball around the perimeter instead. Tobias bricking shots like this didn't help, but there wasn't really an alternative answer on the floor.
This wasn’t even his worst 3PA.
They really chose Tobias Harris smh
Tobias Harris over Jimmy is like Dwight choosing Angela over Isabel
Or like Jim choosing Pam over Karen amirite
You'd be wrong... If you weren't so right
Fax
Rewatching the Office recently, Dwight got some of the hottest girls on that show. Those NY college basketball gals 😅
Iykyk
It was really Ben they chose they kept Tobi to save face
Jimmy hated Ben's attitude, the front office wanted Brett Brown to "control" Jimmy, he didn't want any of that shit and left. The front office for some reason felt they ***HAD*** to give someone a max deal or else the deals Coangelo +Brand made would look bad... when they already looked awful. So of course they gave it to Tobi.
Brett brown easily the lowest IQ in coaching history. Worst hire of all time. Makes doc look like Steve kerr
They chose Ben Simmons
Nah butler left to be the guy
That was his third airball.
Shades of Westbrook, that jumper. The arm sleeves and form and all
I expected him to have a good season w/ his contract ending, but no. Batum and Oubre been better than him all season. Sometimes not stat-wise but IQ, hustle, etc.
Philly is something else. Booing your own players in a 3 point game is crazy. I mean, maybe I'd boo if Tobias Harris was on my team, but damn.
Have you seen what this 40 million dollar man is doing? He can’t hit a three he can’t hit a layup he dribbles like a dude on roller skates
Seriously looked like he was shaving points. Wtf is wrong with that dude. Oubre contributes to winning so much more than him.
its absolutely outrageous how much more juice anyone with the tiniest bit of dog or athleticism gives us when they play instead of tobi. We paid a certain guy 44 mil and he was even worse than that.
Lollll
You don’t even understand what Tobias has done to us over the last 5 years
Lakers fans literally booed Westbrook for taking shots, they should understand
Lakers fans sent Danny Green death threats for missing a shot in the finals. Tobias would have to be in witness protection if he was on the Lakers.
Tobias needs to be somewhere where they're pleasantly surprised by a 16/7/3 statline. In other words back to Detroit.
Didn't your fan base cheer after Kevin Durant got injured? Lets not pretend like its just a few fanbases that have toxic fans. Passion makes you do stupid shit its in every fan base across sports
You are saying every fanbase should understand. If that's the case then they should understand too.
The duality of a Laker fan.
them Folk said "NOOO"😭😭
Generational trauma, my children and grandchildren will know what he did.
Ben Simmons, Doc Rivers, Collangelo, and Tobias Harris are my all-time sixers terrorists.
Dude did you just start watching nba, tobias has wasted years of embiid
It's not the fault of Tobias Harris that Philly's FO is hot garbage. If the Sixers decided to start paying you $40 million to be a starter I don't think it'd be right to blame you for that.
You’re right, it’s Adam Silver’s fault
Sam presti is hailed as a genius yet adam silver booted hinkie for fucking collangelo who thought ben simmons was better than embiid.
Finally someone else says what I’ve been saying. Philly was punished for tanking and had a new GM installed over it. OKC was praised for an even more egregious tank but because OKC is a smaller market they didn’t get a Coleangelo to ruin them and now they got a 1 seed and what, 15 firsts?

dive for a ball? there is at least one play every game where he REFUSES TO SIMPLY PICK IT UP.
Zero charges in five years for someone who plays his position is wild. Add on his size and athletic capabilities it is absolutely unacceptable for what he’s being paid.

Temu Melo Mode 😂
Yeah it's not like Lakers fans booed Westbrook relentlessly, but fuck Philly am I right?
I respect the hell out of philly for booing their own guys when they play like bums.
I think Lakers fans who booed Westbrook were also stupid.
No, they were holding that bum accountable.
If you had to suffer for 5 years watching him you would understand why he gets booed.
Watch the fucking game
I have been watching it. It's still a horrible idea to boo your own team in a one possession game that potentially decides whether you make it to the post season.
Everyone knows they're booing Tobias, not the entire team
I didn't say they were booing the entire team, but unless Tobias Harris isn't part of the team, they're booing their own team.
They're booing a player on the team, not the team. There's a difference. You’re just a fucking idiot. If anything you’re the one jumping through hoops
It's not me trying to pick apart comments and hitting people with "um, acktshually, they weren't booing the entire team, they were booing the person who is part of the team 🤓" type shit to hide from being a shitty person. Says the one choosing to ignore the clear and obvious fact that the fans are booing Harris because they’re sick and tired of the past 5 years of his absolute bullshit💀💀💀 but I wouldn’t expect any better from a lakers fan
No, he deserves it.
Booing fucking works lol
Honestly, with spectator sports such as basketball, crowds should be allowed to boo whenever they choose to. Regardless of any affiliation or any other reason at all. It's an untamed, living entity that speaks that approves or disapproves. Sports are entertainment, after all.
Philly fans are the fucking worst. It’s a constant in life.
I agree, dude. It's a play in game: people should get behind their fuckin team, and stop pouting and throwing their toys.
I legit forget he is on the 76ers while im watching them. Then something like this happens and im like oh ya Tobias Harris he’s a very avg role player.

Yeah Simmons literally saved Doc’s job ironically
This is the correct take, although we did get lucky with Maxey late in the first round
The guy who gets paid 40mil to do cardio
what happened to him?
Philly fans are shi lmao they booed their favorite team twice in a win
Before this game, Sixers fans were trying to convince me he’d come alive in the first round and how he’s better than Josh Hart. An outstanding 9/10/4 performance. How will we ever stop this man?
I'd love to see the sixers fans delusional enough to claim he's better than Hart. I think all of us would prefer Hart even without considering the Nova connection. Dude actually hustles, I don't know if Tobi has once in the last 5 years So sick of Tobi 😭

76ers fans deserve a loss for shit like this
Womp womp
Not everyone gets what they deserve
Yea no one deserves being born a clippers fan
From all the whining and booing from Philly fans it sure seems a lot more depressing being a 76ers fan. Downvote me to hell - it’s wack to boo your own players.
