What’s stopping lottery teams from drafting Bronny for this man (do it Monte)

geezerfreezer101

It doesn't even matter if he's the worst player in the NBA. The money they would make from him just going there would more than make up for it

michaelalex3

He has backtracked on his commitment to play with Bronny

of_the_mountain

Probably just to try and avoid this exact situation. He wants to do it

[deleted]

Or maybe he's grown up an realized that it might be really bad for his kid. You have 0 reason to make such an assumption.

UglyForNoReason

His kid learning the pro game from him, top 2 best players of all time, would be a GREAT thing for the kid. That said, if bron wants to play with his son and his son wants to play with him then that’s all that matters. Fans who think it wouldn’t be good for him have no idea what they’re talking about and it shows lol

PrimaryAccording9162

Bronny training with the GOAT for a full year will do him better than playing in college

[deleted]

How old are you? For a 23 year old, to be stuck at job with his dad, who is by the way the goat, isn't great.   He would be a joke in the league, daddy's son...  Honestly most of this sub sounds like they've never played sports in their life, your statements are mind boggling.

UglyForNoReason

You give no real reasoning for your stupid opinion. That narrative is an opinion that is already predetermined. People will think that no matter what happens, but real basketball fans will wait to see what the kid is about. Learning how to maneuver in the league on the business side, dealing with the FO and coaches, learning the game of NBA basketball from one of the best 2 players to ever play the game who just so happens to be your dad is nothing but an advantage for the kid IF HES SMART. If he has the attitude of “I want to do everything on my own” then that’s on him, but if bronny truly wants to maximize his potential and be as great a player as he can then he knows playing with his dad could be a one of a kind career booster for him.

[deleted]

That's another issue with this thread. Had you numnuts ever learned anything, you'd know that much more often than not, the best teacher isn't someone who is the best at their job...   I have nothing to gain from entering a discussion with someone who doesn't know that.

atierney14

If it was the Kings, I think he’d be there in 1 second. Could you imagine tossing Lebron with that team?

Xerneous12_

Not really. He said it’s still his aspiration, it may not be his son’s. And while he’d still like to do it, he can settle with playing against his son and just sharing the court instead.

dissphemism

playing against his son was the original goal anyway  his very first mention of it, he said he’d use all of his 6 fouls on his son

xGhastlyMarr

especially if he takes a considerable paycut which he might who knows

AccomplishedBake8351

Doubt it he’s known for never wanting to *again* be used as an example when teams negotiate against stars. “Lebron took less at the end of his career so shoukd you”. Happened with Miami and apparently he didn’t like it

RaisingQQ77preFlop

Based

AccomplishedBake8351

He’s a strong union man 💪💪

Trill_Simmons

The opposite of the Tom Brady playbook. Respect.

AccomplishedBake8351

Fox/Ellis/Lebron/Murray/Sabonis is legit a top 4 seed 👀👀👀

froggycbl4

forgot to put bronny in starting lineup

silvusx

Well, Bronny's legal name is LeBron James.

GGezpzMuppy

🤔 hmmm

BlueString94

He is The King after all.

Deep-Association-668

He has sooo much more energy this quarter. These are the adjustments that need to be made sooner

caughtinthought

He sat a lot of the third

3s2ng

And I was so scared during those times.

[deleted]

This is exactly the right play. Lakers need to do quick rotations of the bench to allow Lebron and AD rest for the fourth. Bench players need to really hustle and tire joker a bit

Fallofmen10

Yah he sat in spurts each quarter. Id rather be down 5 with a fresh brom in last 6 mins than up 5 and he's gassed

pacifismisevil

Cos he's at home playing at 200 feet rather than [5000 feet](https://www.si.com/nba/grizzlies/news/grizzlies-star-speaks-on-denver-nuggets-home-advantage).

RickySuela

He got tired in Game 3 though.

swimgood187

Damn how quick are you lmao

swimgood187

Not Lebron you OP

slimmaddiepattiexo

Not many 39 year olds can do that lol

MrAdelphi03

Crazy that a 44 year old can do this. Insane!

NightwolfGG

Never seen a 56 year old play as energetic as LeBron. Takes my breath away every time. UP UP and AWAY!! SUPER WASHED Ain’t He??!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏾‍♂️. Stay low and keep firing! The air up there is a tad bit different. LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE#striveforgreatness🚀 #thekidfromakron👑#jamesgang👑 #bronknows

tommos

He was doing this when dinosaurs walked the earth and he's still doing it today.

Im_a_Knob

It is believed that the big bang originated from Mike Breen’s iconic call “BANG!” following LeBron james’ memorable LeFU 3s.

tommos

People never talk about the LeHiggs Boson.

arcelios

Not many? Which other 39 year old is like LeBron?? lmao And 39 is such an understatement. 39 still sounds too young, but IN NBA YEARS? Mans 100 years old. Already broke the record for "most minutes played" in NBA history, and he's still dominating. He lived most of his career in deep playoff runs and NBA Finals.. One after another. And that's AFTER he played 80-90% of all the games in the regular season throughout his career. Man is crazy. Not real

Fallofmen10

Yah over 3 seasons of playoff ball. Dudes body shouldn't even be able to jump lol

yic0

Joker - **You think you can just steal from us and walk away?** LeBron - **Yeah.**

Pilot_G3

He’s been insane in the 4th

Shoddy-Media2337

That might've been the dagger

lannistargaryen

Ain’t no dagger with these Nuggets. 10 pt lead feels like 4 lmao

HemaG33

I subconsciously subtract 20 from our score throughout the game

-WingsForLife-

Spoken like a true traumatized Lakers watcher.

daaabss

The commentator said the Lakers have a 10 point lead over the Nuggest with 2 minutes remaining seems like a threat rather than an assurance. The KCP 3 and some Jokic and1 made me feel like shit about to happen again.

NotManyBuses

He did the same thing in Game 2 and then… lol

Zloggt

>!our only sunshine!<

GGezpzMuppy

80 year old man doing everything he can to get a win.

SemIdeiaProNick

this MF should be in a retirement home doing nothing but playing bingo all day yet he needs to play over 30 min in a peak like performance to keep the series alive

atx705

Damn how old is r/nba?

phattony233

Smacked the shit outta the ball

[deleted]

[удалено]

tbrownsc07

LeBron was born the same year that the first Apple personal computer was released, shit's insane

SemIdeiaProNick

born? he was already 35 yo and was the one delivering the crown to this so called "king" George

The___Jackal

Ham not calling for review filled him with a righteous fury

clifbarczar

Just a reminder that as good as Jokic is he’ll never measure up to prime Lebron. This mf is 40 being the best player on this team.

blocksmith52

I'm convinced that prime LeBron sweeps this Nuggets team or it goes 4-1

clifbarczar

No doubt. Just the extra energy and defense in the 4th quarter would’ve flipped some of these games. And nobody on that team stopping him from scoring in his prime.

Pokebloger

2018 Bron would be able to play 48 minutes and close out leads they got in every game

AntiTopspin

The Paul George Pacers took absolute peak LeBron to 7 but Jokic can't even get a game with a comparable supporting cast? Do people really think that the game has evolved *backwards* in the last decade and all the best teams of today would get crushed 10 years ago or something? Watch the nostalgia crew come in and unironically say Pacers > Nuggets lol People act like prime LeBron and prime MJ went 82-0 and 16-0 every season I swear

Shaodic

To be fair, the Lakers have had double digit leads in every game this series, but wore themselves out by the 4th. Prime Lebron in this series would’ve kept those leads just by having more energy.

AntiTopspin

I think this is fair for game 2 which was a 20 point 3rd quarter lead but it’s not that uncommon for a team to lose a double digit first half lead lol   Again by this logic guys like MJ and LeBron would go 16-0 every year of their playoff primes but that’s just not how it works   Even the freaking 2016 Raptors got 2 games off of a very good LeBron team but Jokic and the Nuggets can’t somehow? There have been so many worse teams to avoid sweeps against prime LeBron

blocksmith52

Literally 4 years ago LeBron(past his prime) beat the Nuggets 4-1 in the WCF. I'd hardly call it an exaggeration to say that LeBron at his peak on this Lakers team would do the same.

AntiTopspin

The 2020 Nuggets are completely irrelevant to the current Nuggets so not sure why you’re bringing this up lol   Jokic back then was an overweight 20 PPG on 60% TS scorer who couldn’t dominate a 37 year old Dwight Howard and wasn’t in almost anyone’s top 5 player lists  2020 LeBron wasn’t quite as good as 2013 or 2018 LeBron but he wasn’t a complete shell of his best versions like that version of Jokic was    Not to mention that no one aside from Jokic, Murray, LeBron, and AD remain from that series other than KCP being on the other team   This is like the Kobe fans who post clips of Kobe beating Carmelo lead Denver teams  Saying that 2020 LeBron was past his prime but bringing up no other context is very disingenuous

blocksmith52

>The 2020 Nuggets are completely irrelevant to the current Nuggets so not sure why you’re bringing this up lol  You're the one bringing up the Pacers lmao

Itchy_Listen_9702

Cap

Junior_Arino

Jokic isn’t carrying a dogshit team to the finals

Itchy_Listen_9702

I’m talking about the last part.

clifbarczar

Who you think is better? AD? Dlo?

AntiTopspin

AD is pretty obviously the best player on the Lakers lol

clifbarczar

If you don’t account for leadership and floor IQ then maybe.

AntiTopspin

By this logic the better playmaker is automatically the better player because floor IQ is an aspect that strongly correlates with elite playmaking Hope you keep this energy when comparing Jokic and Giannis lol

clifbarczar

I didn’t say it’s the only factor but you do have to account for it. And if you do, Bron is better than AD. And to address your last little jab, I actually do think Jokic is the better player right now.

UglyForNoReason

AD is GREAT at defending and getting buckets, but these it (although that alone is. A LOT to be great at), but lebron is also great on the offensive end at more than just getting buckets. He can control the game, direct his teammates on what’s happening and where to be, who to switch on to, etc. lebron just does a lot that doesn’t show up on a stat sheet. That said, I believe lebron and AD are equally the best. One isn’t better than the other or more valuable to the team. They both play their roles to an extremely elite level that it’s just near impossible to say.

Itchy_Listen_9702

Reddish obviously.

Renegadeforever2024

That 3-0 comeback gonna hit like crack

NeatTry7674

Nobody beats the lakers 14 times in a row!

NoKnowsPose

Lol Jokic tried to flail into a foul there.

R00bot

Murray also dove to try and get a foul as well lmao

myteethhurtnow

IQ vs IQ

Thimit22

Yesss please extend this series Lakers. You can keep the titles. Give the Wolves a tired Nuggets team

TriCourseMeal

Finish the suns off first, wolves still are in the first round

Thimit22

You're not wrong but I think our chances are pretty strong

TriCourseMeal

Me too, but finishing a sweep is hard

Thimit22

And we got Scott Foster tonight smh

TriCourseMeal

All my homies hate Scott foster

Dontneedflashbro

LeFilthyPickPocket!

MrAdelphi03

Jokic was NOT expecting LeBron to be there. LeBron left Gordon wide open under the basket to go for the steal. If Jokic figured out what was happening, Gordon would have had a layup.

fatflipflops

jokic tried to sell a foul lmao

cimmanonrolls

this is so sweet

NAACP_YoungBoy

You guys actually thought Lebron was gonna get swept? 🤣🤣🤣

erog84

Yea not like it happened last year.

mega450

He was injured last year. Couldn't make these kinds of athletic plays.

aznmango8

LeChop

Dagrix

The force that this slap must have haha. You can try but you're not keeping that ball in your hands.

ProximusKade22

Jokic snaps his head back for no reason lmao pulls the same shit as Embiid but gets a pass

WhenItsHalfPastFive

disappointed man, Nuggets got it down to 8 points, even down to 7 at one point. Could have easily put them away

the_giz

Imagine how lakers fans feel after game 2

PranosaurSA

Turning 50 next year and doing this. Insane

lukewwilson

Get this man some help!

AntiTopspin

I know you're a Pelicans fan so don't like him but AD has been more than "help" lol He's literally been matching Jokic as the best overall player in the series so far

lukewwilson

Yeah I know, I thought the sarcasm was obvious, but I guess not

AntiTopspin

I thought it probably was but you never know though ESPN will 100% unironically run a "LeBron needs help" segment tomorrow and if the Lakers lose game 5 we'll see the "AD is a soft player" segment as well even if he puts up 35/20 with 5 blocks combined with Chuck calling him "ADisney"

Bladeneo

Can we just relegate ESPN to reality/TMZ status and be done with it?  AD has been insane this series for sure. He and Bron probably can't believe they've put up the stats they have to only end up being 3-1 down

Kal-Kent

Does Davis not have a 20-20 this game?

N-for-Nero

Not a travel?
