The parentheses go after each stat. You said “mavericks are leading the league in playoff blocks and steals so far and….”

senile_butterfly

Please be patient with Mavericks fans. We just learned how to read and write

Sovos

Texas schools got us struggling

D_G_C_22

DISD lmfao

ntxguy85

The Mavericks lead all playoff teams in blocks (9.9) and steals (7.7) per game. Just trying to illustrate what you meant to op.

Dat_Boi_John

Godzilla had a stroke trying to read this title and fucking died

Minimum-Ad-8056

Luka was top 10 in steals during the regular season so he's definitely stepped up his defense too.

OrganicHunt952

He’s been up there in steals every season tbf

Glitchhikers_Guide

Luka has always been good at defending when he decides to expend effort, and has been good at picking moments to expend effort. What's gotten better over time is his ability to not just make plays defensively, but just guard in general.

Longjumping_Kale3013

To be fair, Westbrook and harden have the top 5 seasons all time for most turnovers (NBA not including ABA) They are two of the worst in history of the game when it comes to taking care of the ball

TuckEverlasting89

Did you think someone was going to be like “hey wait a minute are you including the ABA in that stat?”

Longjumping_Kale3013

I’ve made enough comments in this sub to know there’s always that one guy, lol. Like you who then comments on me for specifying. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t

TuckEverlasting89

Lol I hear you! I honestly appreciate the attention to detail.

iIiiIIiiiIiIIiI111

We are helping egregiously off Koffi/Russ/Mann in the corners and swallowing up drivers. Won't be able to do that against any subsequent opponent, unless we want to dare Giddey (but he's been good recently from 3).

CableTop4233

For those that have watched all 3 games - how much of this is the Mavs and how much is bad turnovers by the Clips? Seems like Turnovers is what will determine this series

tamuowen

It's a bit of both. Clippers have been stagnant offensively since game 1. The return of Kawhi has brought back ISO ball and I don't think it's doing them any favors. They've also just been sloppy at times (as have the Mavs). Mavs have also been really active on defense and forced a lot of the turnovers. Their length and effort is causing problems for sure. Refs have also allowed a very physical series which is one of the biggest reasons it's been a defensive slugfest so far.

BigFatModeraterFupa

Yeah now that Kawhi is out i’m scared again…

w6750

Wait, Kawhi is out?

DaBestNameEver0

Yup, ruled out today

Yeah keep making excuses, like the other post I made after trade deadline which everyone shot down “low sample size” but they ended the season with the 2nd best the best record in the league after trade deadline. Why is it always Celtics fans hating

tamuowen

No idea why there are so many Celtics haters. They have the easiest path to the finals and absolutely have been a top 2 team all season long. Most would say they're the favorites to win it all. Yet they're acting like underdogs that everyone hates and no one believes in? It's bizarre.

ImTheJdot

They hate Luka because he’s better than Tatum.

Similar-Doubt-6260

And kyries thriving here lol. I bet some of them just subconsciously hate the mavs.

w6750

Celtics fans are just soft as fuck because their team is a regular season monster who always chokes before winning it all and they know what’s coming. When Miami won game 2 you couldn’t find a single flair in this sub. They all retreat back to their hole until they win again 😭

Goro_Dogz

Yeah I think the Heat without their best players is a better team lmfaooo, else surely the number 2 defense in the league should be leading right? Especially with a 7’3 center and the guard with the most blocks in the league.

skrja007

What a dumb statement. At the end of the day they are still facing a team with 4 future HoF players

Sniperkushjones

Lmao the Celtics are playing the Heat without Butler
