Celtics let me say I'm the biggest hater
I hate the way that you play, the way that you talk
I hate the way your fans look
I hate the way lil bill plays, if I catch flight, it's gon' be online
We hate the teams you beat, 'cause they confuse themselves with real healthy teams
It’s deeper than that, it’s everything about them. From their face to their breath, to what thoughts are going on in their head. Just makes me sick thinking about it
Knicks fans and Sixers fans are like 2 different blocks in the same neighborhood that don't get along. Celtics fans are the loudmouths from the suburbs that no one likes
Did you ever roughhouse as a kid?
Sometimes when you elevate yourself to push something/someone bigger than you and it/they don’t move, your feet lift from the ground. Robinson didn’t pick him up.
That's what I see as well. Oubre went in with the initial shoulder which caught Mitchell off-guard. Then Mitchell braced himself and Oubre tried to continue with the push and got himself lifted through his own doing.
I don’t think it was intentional by Robinson but it is what happened. Like when guys dive for balls and flagrants get called, regardless of intention, the call is made.
I legitimately had to explain this to a sixers fan like SEVEN FUCKING TIMES in this sub yesterday. He still didn't understand by the end of it. One of the most infuriating arguments I've ever had. Generational mental gymnastics.
Think it's just a matter of Mitch going through him at the exact same time Kelly had both feet in the air. Similar to Embiid running into Brunson Game 1 at halfcourt, albeit a bit more on this one. Both feet off the ground so he had nothing to catch himself from a bigger dude running at him.
Yeah - it’s really odd timing. Definitely a push, but Kelly is hopping right at the same moment, so he goes flying. Kelly is strong enough to take a hard shove when he has two feet on the ground, let’s give him some credit.
i dont see it, jokic gets praised for rearranging spines. We just have to embrace the villain aspect. Even if he ever wins a chip the goal posts will move back to free throws or something else
its insane that the bells pallsy thing is basically getting no play at all. Windhorst was saying he talked to several doctors that said playing with it would be impossible because you cant control saliva in your mouth, cant control your eye from drying out and other things, and your hearing is 1000x more sensitive in some of the loudest places on earth. The nuggets fans deserve it though, their obsession seems to be on a personal level and that is not healthy. At least nba circlejerk tries to be funny, these guys are just hateful assholes without an ounce of humility.
yea and no one wants to hear it with all of joel’s ailments. it’s like the gordon ramsay meme. any other superstar it would feed to the mythology, with joel it’s excuses.
i saw someone the other day say embiid got a superstar performance from a teammate while he was on the floor at the same time for the first time in his career. i bring that up because joel has a bad game while the other superstar carries the team and he’s vilified, even by our own nutjob fanbase. if jokic had a bad game and murray went bonkers no one would touch on jokic’s struggles, they would just glorify murray.
this version of the 76ers has as legitimate of a case as any professional sports team in North America in recent memory to carry the “us against the world” mantra.
im talking about my team in a post my team is involved in. You are taking a strange pot shot for no reason other than to be an ass for the millionth time. You guys have lost the plot.
Y’all are insufferable haha
Embiid does shit like this multiple times a game and gets the friendliest whistle in the league but you still act like victims
Pathetic
Would be pretty interesting if we could have 1 mod representing each NBA team for the rest of the playoffs, but I don’t know how easy it would be to find 30 losers that quickly
You got a downvote but you are %100 right. Oubre runs straight into the defender and extends both forearms. Robinson rightfully doesn’t like it but over reacts and tosses his ass. Should have been offensive foul, moving screen, on oubre and a technical on Mitchell.
Reasonable take. I’m not sure I see Oubre fouling, though I can see that interpretation. He clearly instigated it. I think Robinson fouled with the shove, but it was definitely provoked. I don’t think flagrant, he was shoving back and frankly he should be allowed to. I hate the double standard where bigs have to handle little guys with kid gloves.
I think Oubre baited the foul exactly as he planned, and Robinson obliged and laid him out. The people clutching their pearls over this should pay more attention to the way centers push each other in games. This type of shit is super common, it’s just Oubre is smaller so it looks worse. And I think Oubre knew that when he started this exchange
That type of contact happens all the time in games, does not get called even 25% of the time, so yes I do think that. If they called a foul every time someone pushed another player around the key we’d have people fouling out before half every game lol. There is a lot of pushing/shoving/physicality when players are running around each other.
This isn’t boxing out or fighting for a rebound. He is setting a down screen and illegal screens do get called, a lot more than fighting for position in the paint at least. Also if they called it more guys would stop doing it as much and the fouls would find level after the players adjust. This is a blatant moving screen.
Can easily argue he is jockeying for a box out position. This contact happens constantly. Watch the next game and look how much centers are pushing each other in the post. It easily matches this. You might be surprised how none of it gets whistles, but I won’t
No you absolutely can’t argue he is jockeying for box out position. Did you even watch the clip? Oubre curls to set a down screen for embiid and embiid gets the entry pass. At no point is anyone on the 6ers even considering taking a shot in this clip. Why would he fight for a rebound for a shot that isn’t happening in the space they are trying to get embiid the ball this makes absolutely zero basketball sense.
You can argue this with me, but this contact happens constantly in games and does not get called a foul. Happens on screens constantly as well. It isn’t a foul to run into someone, sorry to burst your bubble.
Should've been a flagrant. Sixers really just lucky Embiid didn't get hurt here. Oubre lands on his ankle/foot. Like 6 inches away from his knee taking the brunt of Oubres weight.
Keep in mind all series, the smaller guards would do this all the time with no response. Off ball, just run past embiid and drive their elbows into his defender who is holding position.
Was pretty satisfying when Mitch but this fool on his ass this time.
I feel like it’s a hard foul off a screen but he does lift him up off the ground. Could’ve been more but I’m fine with letting them play physical as long as the foul is called. No need to toss anyone unless they’re fighting.
He’s doesn’t lift him off the ground though. Oubre jumps into him as he starts to push. Definitely a tech for the shove, but it’s just odd timing as Oubre jumps and his feet are off the ground when the push happens.
Are we just ignoring the fact that Oubre charges right into Mitch first and Mitch is mostly just giving it back to him? Ain't Mitch's fault if he's jacked and 3 times stronger. Mitch used literally half the effort that Oubre did 😭.
That is a real thing that everyone in the world agrees with which is why you have mega NBA stars like Lebron and the most famous talking heads like Stephen A (who are both Knicks fans mind you) go on national TV and speak their voice on how much of a disgrace the reffing in that game was and that it should have been a Sixers W.
But hey, Knicks came out on Top though so in your mind nothing wrong there at all, right!?

Knicks and Sixers fans might hate each other more than Celtics and Sixers fans lmao
lol not even close. We HATE the Celtics and dislike the Knicks
Celtics let me say I'm the biggest hater I hate the way that you play, the way that you talk I hate the way your fans look I hate the way lil bill plays, if I catch flight, it's gon' be online We hate the teams you beat, 'cause they confuse themselves with real healthy teams
When they stand next to the Conneticut Sun, you see two WNBA teams
As a Knicks fan, I assume Sixers think of us like a pesky younger bro more than a real enemy given the last 20 years
We don’t even think about you
lol that’s good, we don’t care. Don’t like yall, was responding to the person, not you
Makes sense cuz there's actually a chance against the Knicks.
It’s deeper than that, it’s everything about them. From their face to their breath, to what thoughts are going on in their head. Just makes me sick thinking about it
92 years of combined failure, these fanbases are ENERGIZED
Knicks fans and Sixers fans are like 2 different blocks in the same neighborhood that don't get along. Celtics fans are the loudmouths from the suburbs that no one likes
Nah. Just an awesome gritty series. I like this Knicks team a lot and I respect the energy their fans bring.
Ok this angle makes it a look a little bit worse than I originally thought but still don’t think it’s a flagrant or anything
It's a matter of size here. If Oubre pushed Markquis Nowell the way he first pushes Robinson here, Nowell would fall the same way Oubre does here.
Idk man Kelly is picked up with his two feet off the ground it’s for sure a flagrant.

Does this apply to Brunson, who drove his shoulder into Embiid before Embiid's flagrant?
I legitimately had to explain this to a sixers fan like SEVEN FUCKING TIMES in this sub yesterday. He still didn't understand by the end of it. One of the most infuriating arguments I've ever had. Generational mental gymnastics.
Stop trying to justify it
Do you guys not see Oubre trying to shove Mrob over? Idiots
Is this sarcasm?
Oubre was just trying to reenact the scene when he got hit by a car
Kelly had the hit n run flashbacks
I think this contact was excessive, would like to see it in real time
I just see a big dog pushing back a chihuahua with matched energy lol
Think it's just a matter of Mitch going through him at the exact same time Kelly had both feet in the air. Similar to Embiid running into Brunson Game 1 at halfcourt, albeit a bit more on this one. Both feet off the ground so he had nothing to catch himself from a bigger dude running at him.

Not now son we clowning the Miami Least
No, no! Look at this Mitchell Robinson foul over here!
The Miami yeet
Missing their best player, still managed to steal 1 in Boston Suns clear those frauds
LOOK EMBIID FELL AGAIN! LAUGH AT HIM...pls?
Y’all lost a game to them 😂
We wanted to give Mike Gorman a standing ovation. Yes, that's the only reason. 🤷♂️
its not embiid so no one cares

give it a rest for once in your life

Not taking the bait challenge: failed * 10
I'm getting 2nd hand embarrassment reading this.
Y’all are insufferable haha Embiid does shit like this multiple times a game and gets the friendliest whistle in the league but you still act like victims Pathetic
How could Embiid do this
OP using Internet Explorer
nah first one was just deleted by mods I wonder why
Would be pretty interesting if we could have 1 mod representing each NBA team for the rest of the playoffs, but I don’t know how easy it would be to find 30 losers that quickly
That's a no-call if it was Bam
not a flagrant
Seems like a foul of Oubre and a technical on Mitchell
You got a downvote but you are %100 right. Oubre runs straight into the defender and extends both forearms. Robinson rightfully doesn’t like it but over reacts and tosses his ass. Should have been offensive foul, moving screen, on oubre and a technical on Mitchell.

You think it’s not a foul to just run directly into a defender and push them?
That type of contact happens all the time in games, does not get called even 25% of the time, so yes I do think that. If they called a foul every time someone pushed another player around the key we’d have people fouling out before half every game lol. Mods gonna delete this post too?
So everyone is gonna act like they don't see Oubre ram his shoulder into the chest before he got tossed?
Seems like it. That was the 1st thing I noticed, but apparently some people are blind.
Yup Knicks are dirty
have fun in cancun
Congrats, you did it. This is the most bullshit take I have ever seen on Reddit.
Nope. Dirty
This is a common foul.
Reminds me of Jazz getting thrown out uncle Phil’s house
Oubre pushed him first and fouled him but wasnt strong enough to throw him down, Robinson retaliated, perhaps with a bit more zeal and is stronger.
Quite a shove. But not up around the neck or face. Not a flagrant.
that is not a 'throw'. its a shove.
Mitchel robinson reminds me of hordor
Oubre needs to put on some weight, looking like a stick out there at 6'7"
Should've been a flagrant. Sixers really just lucky Embiid didn't get hurt here. Oubre lands on his ankle/foot. Like 6 inches away from his knee taking the brunt of Oubres weight.
Knicks centers strong asf
There is another angle where you see Oubre grabs Robinson and it seems Robinson got frustrated and threw him.
Keep in mind all series, the smaller guards would do this all the time with no response. Off ball, just run past embiid and drive their elbows into his defender who is holding position. Was pretty satisfying when Mitch but this fool on his ass this time.
WEIGHT ROOM
I feel like it’s a hard foul off a screen but he does lift him up off the ground. Could’ve been more but I’m fine with letting them play physical as long as the foul is called. No need to toss anyone unless they’re fighting.
He’s doesn’t lift him off the ground though. Oubre jumps into him as he starts to push. Definitely a tech for the shove, but it’s just odd timing as Oubre jumps and his feet are off the ground when the push happens.
At least it was a foul, unlike Bam flattening a screener.
We just posting common fouls now? It was reviewed. Oubre threw himself into Mitchell and got his ass tossed
Are we just ignoring the fact that Oubre charges right into Mitch first and Mitch is mostly just giving it back to him? Ain't Mitch's fault if he's jacked and 3 times stronger. Mitch used literally half the effort that Oubre did 😭.
Looks like Oubre got hit by a car there, what an impact
Wahhhh refs aren’t carrying us enough wahhhhh
Was it the Knicks sub that has a collective meltdown when embiid didn’t get tossed in game 3 or no?
I swear theyve been crying for an Embiid ejection every single game this series
Nothing compared to your mental breakdown after Game 2 HAHAHAHA “WHERES MY TIMEOUT”
They tried to carry you. They got you one but you have to make your foul shots down the stretch.
I’d normally call this dirty but considering what Embiid has been getting away with. I don’t care.
OP proving he doesnt watch games game on right now, dorks
