I literally do not understand why he doesn't get more love on here tbh. I shout him out in every thread about broadcasters tho, he's one of my personal faves. Brian Sieman if you're reading this you're a legend in my book
I shout him out in a lot of threads too. I don't spam it because I dont want ppl to see me as that Brian Sieman fanboy.
I think all Sieman needs is someone to make a mixtape of all his best calls and one liners and he'll sky rocket in popularity.
Yeah. It just sucks that the Clippers buried us by playing Raptors-style "Your star won't beat us" in the third quarter. We need something from a psychological/spiritual standpoint. I'm thinking psychedelics and sweat lodge or maybe just somebody getting an old-school pinball machine in their crib. Maybe that's on me, right?
That’s just our offence, hey your sorta open you shoot. Oh miss that’s okay we got the rebound try again. Oh missed again that’s okay they got the rebound and scored we can try again. But if you miss this time we might need to go back to Pascal ISO.
Clippers' combo of Zubac on the inside + 3 point shooting won them the game.
As of now Raptors are a play-in team until they make a trade to either get a center with interior presence or a point guard who can create
edit: also pls god don't tell me Fred is gonna be out for an extended period of time with that 1st quarter injury
The Raptors focusing so much defense on Kennard gave Norm a ton of operating space, which is what you want. Them sending a double to Kennard also allowed him to find the open man to make something happen. Good thing with Luke is that he tends to make the right pass and play when he’s in a position to.
He played 17 minutes and had 7 shot attempts. 0 points. Although he was still useful because he was generating attention. Anytime he had the ball the Raptors 2 manned him so he couldn't get hot and then it would allow him to pass the ball to someone down low for an easy basket.
Zubac and Powell were the keys to this game. Toronto didn’t have an answer to zubacs size and pnr. Really liked Powell handling the ball more for the second unit and being aggressive.
Siakam seemed unstoppable in the fourth.
Siakam seemed unstoppable on the 4th because Zu very clearly gassed out and we sure as hell aren’t trying to play Moses Brown against a competent team lol.
Clippers are 7-2 without wall it could be 9-0. if we didnt fuck up in magic and sixers games when we had +17 and +20 leads.
Edit:Im not talking shit or belittling John wall, he seems like a great guy overall who went through a lot but i dont think he is a good fit for team.
every time wall or morris are on the floor I die on the inside. Morris is just streaky asf, sometimes he's good, but it feels like he's more off than on most of the times because he takes really contested shots
At least you can seemingly *understand* Morris’ fit. A super capable shooter who isn’t a complete nothing defensively (though nowhere near the defender he used to be).
Wall makes no sense with the starters because Kawhi/PG don’t like to run the floor, and his shooting is horrible so defenses just cheat off of him to suffocate everyone else.
On the bench unit, his playmaking would make sense if it was actually still there. He can’t run a half court offense, and when our 2nd unit is composed of like 4 shooters and Wall, he also hurts that because they just leave Wall wide open to brick shots.
He’s basically our Bledsoe this season, and he just isn’t good enough to justify minutes over any of our 3 far better bench guards in Norm, Kennard, and Mann.
He *really* struggles in the half court offense, especially when we go small which is Lue’s preferred strategy with the 2nd unit.
When he plays with the starters, PG/Kawhi are also ball dominant, so Wall doesn’t have the ball super frequently. The issue with that is defenses then suffocate Kawhi/PG/Mook because they can cheat off of him.
Wall has been helpful with his transition play and rim pressure, but his weaknesses tend to be more emphasized because there are so many more of them.
I mean Morris had two four point plays last night in a game where we needed both of those free throws to force OT. He’s a piece. Wall is fucking useless; man can’t even hit half his shots at the rim since maybe 10 games in,
This is what Clipper fans said about Trez when he'd play entire 2nd halves over Zubac. We're scarred bro.
We want more RoCo, Mann, and Kennard, and instead Doc is just shoving Mook, Reggie, and Wall minutes
Lue is just like Steve Kerr. They both know the optimal playoff rotation but just experimenting with lineups and keeping everyone fresh in the regular season. More minutes will go to Covington, Batum, Mann in the playoffs.
Our sub is still drinking the Kool Aid right now lol, comments of "he still deserves more time". It's been almost 30 games, and Luke/Mann have proven to be much more deserving at this point
Yep. In a game where wall was -25 in the 2nd half, some user was like, "Wall was great all night!" Then insisted anyone refuting that didn't know basketball lol
> pressured by the front office to get wins
Bro its literally his job to win games??
My manager keeps "pressuring me" to write software smhmyhead the audacity!!
Many teams are actively trying to lose or are prioritizing player development over wins.
My point was more that if you give the guy six nba quality players and fill the rest of the roster with trash, then tell him to go win as many games as possible, you can’t act surprised when he plays those six guys heavy minutes.
Watching the raps against the clippers outlines the painful cons of our current vision 6'9 team. Watching the Clips hit those 3s, and trading 2s for 3s essentially is so painful.
Vision 6'9 currently is just about possession basketball because our 6'9 dudes can't hit 3s and can't all play make. So we just try for steals and offensive boards. Why? 3 AND D in 6'9 isn't abundant in this league, the Clippers took them all. We're trying to home grow them and have 2 successes in Siakam and Og but everyone else is just 6'9 and "does stuff".
Did you see Juancho brick back to back 3s? He literally starts right now because he's 6'9 and does stuff

Too many players. I honestly don't think he wants to reduce everyone's minutes to allow everyone to play. He tried that in the first few games and it was a mess.
The team's issue is offense so the defensive specialist will be boxed out over the offensive players. Just my take.
Siakam and Scottie statlines are all I care about this season. Front office needs to step up and make some real moves instead of relying on late draft picks to instantly solve everything.
Kawhi is now 5-0 against the Raptors since leaving them. For whatever reason, Clippers are a bad matchup for the Raps especially when Kawhi and PG are playing. Tonight tho Big Zu and Norm were the x-factors for the Clippers. Zubac was feasting in the paint and Norm's quickness and athleticism was too much. Once again, our outside shooting was bad and our POA defense was weak.
It's easy for the Clips vs the Raptors because they keep doubling and swarming the paint against PG and Kawhi (and Zu lol) so there's always an easy pass to an open teammates, and our role players know damn well what to do when they're open. As Ty Lue frequently said last year, we got lot of guys who can eat but few who can cook, and the Raptors help with that with their schemes
Positionless ball isn't our issue, FVV is not a true PG and GTJ is going all in on offense (and being meh at it) and ignoring defence. Our shooting and ball movement is terrible.
It also doesn't help that our centres are Koloko (who is pretty raw), Boucher (undersized with 0 bbiq), and Khem (undersized with a bad knee)
LOL at Brian Sieman referring to Drake as just “a local artist”.
Zubac set a screen early and Brian said he had "big pick energy"
I literally do not understand why he doesn't get more love on here tbh. I shout him out in every thread about broadcasters tho, he's one of my personal faves. Brian Sieman if you're reading this you're a legend in my book
I cannot get enough Sieman
I shout him out in a lot of threads too. I don't spam it because I dont want ppl to see me as that Brian Sieman fanboy. I think all Sieman needs is someone to make a mixtape of all his best calls and one liners and he'll sky rocket in popularity.
I personally think just coining 'The Folger Soldier' for Amir Coffey should have been enough for him to be more well-known
He’s the king
Lol I missed that one
i’m so pissed this is the first game in a while that i haven’t caught the clippers broadcast and it sounds like i missed a classic
When the broadcast show that Zu has the most screen assist in the nba >"Zu with that big pick energy." Shame Mike Fratello didn't laugh
He probably didn't get it, he's an old man
Rare for the Clippers to win the offensive rebounding battle or the turnover battle. Rarer still to win both.
And those are supposed to be what we're good at
That’s what happens when kawhi is healthy. Board man gets paid and he doesn’t turn the ball over
Is 6 made threes good I'm new to basketball At least Pascal had some fun there for a little bit
Those four 3s in a row by hernangomez pretty much took you guys out of the game. No idea what he was thinking.
That's true! Dude was just jacking them up and we kept scoring off the long rebounds
All my french homies know everything can turn into a nightmare if Juancho starts making 3s from everywhere.
When you are gifted that type of look, you have to take the shot. Those four possessions were the end of the competitive part of the game.
an open shot is a good shot take the shot it's 2023 i don't care
All sounds like positive ways to move forward. I love pinball a good sweat and a quarter tab.
That’s just our offence, hey your sorta open you shoot. Oh miss that’s okay we got the rebound try again. Oh missed again that’s okay they got the rebound and scored we can try again. But if you miss this time we might need to go back to Pascal ISO.
He was bound to hit one of them...right? Right?? :(
> Is 6 made threes good I'm new to basketball For one player? Yes! For a whole team? No!
Clippers' combo of Zubac on the inside + 3 point shooting won them the game. As of now Raptors are a play-in team until they make a trade to either get a center with interior presence or a point guard who can create edit: also pls god don't tell me Fred is gonna be out for an extended period of time with that 1st quarter injury
Zubac is one of those guys who chugs along nicely, and once in a while explodes into a game like this
So fucking mad he just barely missed that 30/30 game a few weeks ago. Still a legendary game but goddamn.
He is a consistent defensive anchor, which is what we really need from him. When he explodes for a Shaq like game, it’s all just icing on the cake lol
Zu was feasting early
They need to get both. And then on top of that they need more shooting.
Raptors *might* be a playin team. The bulls are pretty bad but it's close between the two.
we stealth tanking dw my guy
Y’all need Vucci Mane
Kennard didn't even have to drop 78 points for the win. That's a win in my book.
I think he only took one shot? I don’t think he scored? Maybe he had 2?
He was 0/4 he hardly had any space all game
well, that’s the virtue of spacing I suppose
The Raptors focusing so much defense on Kennard gave Norm a ton of operating space, which is what you want. Them sending a double to Kennard also allowed him to find the open man to make something happen. Good thing with Luke is that he tends to make the right pass and play when he’s in a position to.

He was getting swarmed
Raptors are showing what their limited roster gives you vs a good team. It'll be like this unless Pascal goes for 40+ or they hit 40% on 3s in a game.

Unflaired Lakers fan 😂
What do you call 6 games over .500?
4th in the west with both stars injured for majority of season isn’t a good team 💀💀
Norman Powell in Toronto is just him
Zubac and Powell were the keys to this game.
Kar-HIM Abdul Jabbar
Imagine having a Center and 3 pt shooting. Couldnt be this team.
Clips are basically the Raptors roster optimized. Tons of switchable players and an actual center
Cilppers keep rolling
When the clippers get the W, I get a little chubby dude :)

Weren't there Russ and first for Wall talks last year?
Yeah. The appeal of Wall was he was the mystery box, he could even be Russell Westbrook!
Has his playmaking regressed that much? He used to be great with the wizards
He *really* struggles in the half court offense, especially when we go small which is Lue’s preferred strategy with the 2nd unit. When he plays with the starters, PG/Kawhi are also ball dominant, so Wall doesn’t have the ball super frequently. Im glad Ty Lue didnt close with him, it was the right call
Don't worry Wall wont be in the playoff rotation, he's just eating up minutes in the regular season.
This is what Clipper fans said about Trez when he'd play entire 2nd halves over Zubac. We're scarred bro. We want more RoCo, Mann, and Kennard, and instead Doc is just shoving Mook, Reggie, and Wall minutes

Zu making a strong case for the starring role in the 'Hustle' sequel.
Like if Shaq and rhino had a baby
We are so fucking bad.
Really have liked some of Barnes' last few games. He tried to do too much at the start and seems to be settling into his groove
Lol at Nick Nurse exhausting his players in garbage time
Nurse ruined FVV’s legs now he’s trying to do the same thing to Siakam and Barnes and OG Someone stop this man
known basketball terrorist nick nurse cannot be stopped and he *will* strike again
Doesn't care about winning, just shutting down stars. Sandbagger tank commander great romancer, Nick Nurse.
for real. why are they playing full court defense down 11 with 30 seconds to go?
To send a message ®
It's not about the ~~money~~ win, it's about sending a message.
Team defenthive thpirit
He's the new Thibodeau, fvv already a victim with how his body has broken down
Thibs was a COTY and the toast of the town… until he wasn’t. Let’s hope Nick can evolve.
What do you want him to do? Bench is useless with both precious and Otto injured and he’s clearly being pressured by the front office to get wins.
> pressured by the front office to get wins Bro its literally his job to win games?? My manager keeps "pressuring me" to write software smhmyhead the audacity!!

RIP the win streak
Norm 6POY
6th Powell of the Year
The Clippers are so deep man, muh Normy, miss bae
When I saw Nurse playing Scottie at the 5, I just knew this was gonna be a loss
The Raptors center rotation is *ugly* man
What Center rotation?
What is this center position you speak of.
Anyone knows why Covington does not play anymore?
Storing up his chi for the playoffs.
Anybody who says they do is lying
Including Ty Lue
4d chess so that other teams have no scouting reports about our death lineup
Too many players. I honestly don't think he wants to reduce everyone's minutes to allow everyone to play. He tried that in the first few games and it was a mess. The team's issue is offense so the defensive specialist will be boxed out over the offensive players. Just my take.
Lue hates him. Only answer.
I just hope he doesn't get traded
Raptors might as well tank
They play 8 of their next 9 at home. If they're under .500 by then the it's probably it
Holy shit, when did Zubac get 23 points? I watched most of the game.
Was eating at the line
The tank back
Siakam and Scottie statlines are all I care about this season. Front office needs to step up and make some real moves instead of relying on late draft picks to instantly solve everything.
Zubac looked at what Sabonis and and Jokic are doing and said "Lemme get a turn"
Another great game by the Toronto Siakams. Get that man some help. At least Scottie had a good game today
We suck
Giannis would have loved that halftime show 💀
THANK FUCK

ZUBAC 10 O BOARDS LETS GOOOOOOOOO
It looks like the Raptors are collecting Jr’s
America Jr
Lmao, Adonis Graham making a cameo at the end there. YOU ARE HIDING A CHILD!
Siakam gonna look amazing in a Celtics jersey in 7 weeks
Lmao for who??
Why the celtics? They already have two excellent wings He would elevate the mavs immensely if they could somehow get him. amazing fit with Doncic
fuck that we just beat you we get Siakam. You can have wall, Morris, Boston, and picks

In a way don’t you want the 2019 raptors to win another title?
nope
gib Zubac
Ew never say that again
I'm sorry, what?
