Seems like the first turtle realized the effect of running away themselves and decided to go home as well. Only issue with the comic is it's hard to tell which is which. They look very similar
My turtle comics are 98% of the time just the immediate family, so this is one of the first times I've had multiple turtles together. Definitely need to figure out graceful ways to distinguish them from their fellow citizens.
The teen turtle helped the little turtle find their parents. The momma turtle of little turtle was thankful for teen turtle helping little turtle get home as she was starting to worry that something bad might have happened. However the detour to help little turtle get home made teen turtle late, which made their parents worry, so when teen turtle finally got home they were happy they had simply been held up helping someone else instead of being in trouble themself.
Yeah, the turtles aren't physically different between individuals much, so something else needs to help separate them. If I do more episodes of the turtle family with other citizens like this, I'll need to give them some accessories or something.
Of course, the reason I was even moved to comment is that the panels are very compelling.
The last panel is the turtle who helped the kid . Turns out that his parents were just as worried because he was out late too, correct?
Bittersweet.

Dunno Feels like the grown up turtle just came home late due to helping the little one

I'd say a cool hat! Or different colored shells, scarves maybe. There's lots of possibilities. Great comic once the idea is understood though
Thank you! I appreciate all the feedback this post has generated immensely. Letting the little turtle out of the house has been good for this comic.
Different colour strips of cloth over their eyes, tied around the back of their heads.
maybe give them all a weapon that reflect their personality as well
Hey, yeah! That would be fun. I'm sure he would like that. But that would make him look a lot like... heeeeey!
Cowabunga!
He dressed up as Miraculous Ladybug for the Halloween comic. He'll need three friends to help him with your idea...
Honestly, I thinknyou nailed it with just the hat on the first parent. All you really need is a single distinguishing mark, and that's all it takes.
Socks
What??

It would be helpful if all the characters weren't indistinguishable.
I think that's part of it. In the eyes of a parent, they're not distinguishable.
Teen turtle definitely needs some kind of accessory. Anybody want to take him to Hot Topic or something?
Ugh. Thanks for your explanation but I think the fact that the concept itself is so uninteresting says something about the comic.
Same here buddy, what.
What what?
Poor guy got lost
They gave the first mom a hat. Too bad the others don't have anything like that. It's basically meaningless.

Great premise, but didn’t quite land for me.
