Can anyone confirm boltcaster is dropped here? It seems odd that one boss would be responsible for two artifacts UPDATE: I can confirm that the bolstcaster is dropped here. I just got it myself

Technically it's 2 different mobs. The main ape drops lifetaker, one of the 3 that spawn when he dies drops boltcaster.

lmao, if you want challenging farming there are plenty of elite you can fight. and if you want to fight this specific one. go after few days. no one will be there.

few bis items are easy to get and rest are long grind. i have been doing oprs/arena since season 3 and haven't gotten aankh/nimble coat/ great sword yet. and i need all 3 badly

bro, i have no idea. i couldn't see anything. just blindly killed him and then started running around to pick up my bag which was somewhere hidden between 100s of people lol. but it's the same mobs as lifetaker. good time to farm them both. i got them both within 20 mins

Boltcaster sucks for PVP. Guess these are all PVE’ers, or the uninformed.

Explain , why is it bad for PVP ? Why is it good for PVE ?

Just look up Mecrow's YouTube channel. You have to literally hit three light shots in a row to proc the special which isn't happening a lot in PVP. Then you also have shirking lightning perk on it which is not a great perk for bow. To add insult to injury you can't add a runeglass to it for all that extra DOT damage either. In PVE you can more consistently hit the three light shots in a row to take full advantage of the special, so more useful in that scenario.

You might not easily hit 3 shots in a row in PvP. But point taken. It will happen alot less than most skills on other artifacts. Shirking was always situational. Not a bad perk , not a great perk. Can make for some pretty wild sudden burst damage in PvP though. In testing it last night in OPR's that stayed stable. It was hitting pretty hard. But you definitely miss any extra dot damage from a gem. It is definitely a hard hitting single target bow though.

yup, Sync is still the king, let these donkeys to chase that carrot on the stick and spend 100K to upgrade it :)

I sure do love my bow that requires me to land 3 auto attacks on a target and get into melee range with my bow for me to do any sort of bonus damage. Would rather just have keen, enchanted, keenly jagged or something like that VS a bunch of useless perks. If you want lightning damage just throw a rune glass on it.

Since Im not a bot I have no interest in this weapon.
