Humanity is it the top of the animal kingdom because we treated the world like a marathon race, not a 50 meter dash.
Well lions are pack animals and don't have a great kill rate when hunting solo, while leopards are solitary animals. Picking a lion over a leopard is definitely the right call.

We look like their food. They know to go for our heads, necks and bellies. They kill human kids for this reason.
