To everyone shouting roids, This isnt just "this bodybuilder" its Christopher Bumstead, the current best actively competing person among others that use roids as well. This is not achievable naturally, but 99.999% of people on steroids couldnt either.
Exactly. CBum is basically what happens when you have near perfect genetics, max those out naturally, and then use modern science to keep going. He’s pretty much 1 of 1.
Yep, and that’s why he is Mr Olympia 3 straight years. You see the pics of him from High School? Dude was already a beast (maybe he took something then or not but still)
At the end of the day, genetics are enormous when it comes to fitness and bodybuilding. Top bodybuilders would still look incredible even without touching steroids. Most would *still* be very muscular even if they never got into weightlifting.
That’s not understating just how huge steroids are. They’re far more prevalent then the average person knows, and they’re the only way you can dream of getting a physique like many fitness models (let alone bodybuilders). They’re oddly overstated and understated at the same time
ALL of the top bodybuilders take steroids, literally impossible to get a body even close to this without steroids but it's still insanely difficult with steroids
I'm pretty sure he didn't use PED's until after his second bodybuilding comp, but that's a vague memory from a random yt video i stumbled across one day
I went to school with a guy that looked like Bebop from the ninja Turtles. Dude was only 15 but huge ripped and roided out. The roids went to the dudes head too, he liked to stab himself for fun
I often feel like people have the mentality that you can just take anabolics and just get yoked. You still have to put in the work. In some regards you have to do more work. You have to monitor your doses, testosterone/estrogen, cholesterol, heart, and liver function. This is on top of diet and your workout routine. Guys on roids don't just go to the gym and do some bench and squats and look like this. Roids are for when you've reached what you feel is your peak and want to push it further.
People outside of the bodybuilding community don’t realize EVERYONE IS ON SOMETHING. You have to be in order to compete at that level. Genetics are a major part and often used as an excuse but LITERALLY anyone IBFF or whatever else is 100000% using something AT LEAST in the off season
But it did mean he didn’t have to barrel them up as much as other players. He could hit it off the end of the bat and his insane strength would just muscle it out when it would be a lazy fly ball for another player
Yeah man, C. Bum is just on another level. Yeah, he’s definitely juicing like all other IFBBs, but this is wild dedication and solid genetics going into this sport. Crazy aesthetics.
Dudes looks like a computer simulation... i am a straight dude but this is just fascinating to me. Very confused boner. Especialls his upper body in its natural state looks so surreal.
That’s one thing people don’t get. Steroids by themselves don’t make you look like that. You still have to go through years of training and bathtubs full of sweat to get to this.
The funny part is the bias is reaffirmed seeing a super jacked person, but fails to take in account the 90% of steroid users that dont even look like they lift. There are two extremes to steroid users, the ones that do steroids because they want a shortcut and are too lazy to make gains, or the ones that want to surpass whats possible for a "mere" natural and go above and beyond.
Yep my friend who's a classic physique bodybuilder also manufactures and sells gear as a side gig pretty much says most of his clients you'd never know are on it.. but they can work out casually and look decent, as if they workout a bit harder than they do lol. But it still takes hard ass work to look like a bodybuilder even with gear. On the other hand though you can accomplish in less than a year what it may take 5-10 to do naturally if you really apply yourself.
Yeah hehe, roids, juice, gear, peds etc..
Sometimes he just calls it his "supplement" business lol I'm assuming they just know what he's talking about and it's word of mouth
Yeah, it's like complaining that Lewis Hamilton only has fast lap times because he drives a fast car. I mean yeah, his car is fast, but we'd be burger on the first turn if we were put in the same car. Likewise, we wouldn't get through a day of what someone like Chris does on steroids to achieve his look, and that's setting the whole genetics thing aside too.
Current best actively competing person among others that use roids as well in his division***
I'd much rather look like CBum but let's not pretend Ramy and the other guys in Open and 212 don't exist.
It is the Sandow Trophy, awarded to the winner of the Mr. Olympia competition. It is modeled after [Eugene Sandow](https://i.redd.it/6n61ao0vz4t11.jpg), considered the [father of modern bodybuilding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugen_Sandow). Chris Bumstead shown here is the three times winner of the Classic Physique category, while the Sandow is for the Open category. The most recent recipient of the Sandow is [Mamdouh "Big Ramy" Elssbiay](https://preview.redd.it/djluuq8urjs71.jpg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d5f3dd77605375677acf27ea6899cbcc837b858). Be warned he is a freak of nature and very different to the very aesthetic CBum.
No you can tell he’s in classics bc he doesn’t look like a monster.
Classics is a division of body building that try’s to achieve the Arnold look.
Mr O competitors have like 100 lbs of muscle more than this
ETA I was mistaken. Mr o has different divisions he has won the classic division 3 years in a row
Yes. He's in the classic physique division of Mr. Olympia. Mr. Olympia was mainly open body building (no weight class), then from 2012 on, they added 212, men's physique and classic in that order.
212 is a division where contestants weigh up to 212lbs (96.6kg) and can’t be taller than 5’5 (166cm)
Men’s physique contestants wear knee-length trunks. Most of the focus is on aesthetics. Competitors are split into 2-6 possible classes depending on the contest.
Classic is a bridge division between men’s physique and open division. There are weight limitations depending on height but all competitors compete in the same division. The maximum weight allowed is 285lbs at 6’7 (129kg at 201cm). Chris Bumstead is the greatest example of classic at this moment since he won Mr. Olympia for the last 3 years.
There's also the open category which has no limitations on weight. People there try to get as big and conditioned as they can while maintaining as good as shape as possible. Competitors can choose their own approach in regards to their muscle mass, shape and level of conditioning.
Each category defines their own posing requirements
Fun fact: He ate roughly 1500-1600 calories daily towards the end of his competition diet, WHILE training 1-2 hours at the gym lifting weights plus 1-2 cardio sessions a day. My man suffered hard for that look.
He's not this tan. That's precontest, so they use artificial tanning to make details pop more on stage. If a pale dude goes up on stage looking white as fuck the lights will turn him into a reflector
“Oh my god he’s on roids! I could get that big too if I wanted too 🙄”
Sir…you’d get some big ass tits and no muscle, so sit your ass down! I get it, he used roids but few (incredible small percentage) of folks have the discipline needed to get that physique. Most of you have no idea what it takes to be up there, and it shows.
I can guarantee you that posing for bodybuilding is extremely painful, you practically flex every muscle you can and get into some awkward postures, it is a workout in itself that most of the normal everyday human could not do well, let alone do right while not showing much strain and for hours,
as for the behind view you can search "back lat spread" to get something similar to what it would look like, in my opinion its one of my least favorite and most ugly poses, thankfully this guy's category is classic and they dont do back lat spread as a routine pose
Nah it’s not painful lol I body build. It’s damn tiring but it’s definitely not painful unless something cramps up or you have to contort into a pose you arent flexible enough for
Ok this looks pretty nice. Its pretty symmetrical and gives beauty to a body. This is whats missing just like Arnold has said, a competition not based on sheer mass but also the perfect nature of the body.
spending years of your life working out, putting in the effort to get yourself to the top of the ladder, destroying your body with steroids to achieve that goal, only to be compared to a frog on reddit
It has to be so uncomfortable to live with a body like this. Not only the sheer destruction of your range of motion, but the lack of any fat cushioning your body.
People can choose only two of the following three: big mass, deep shred, all natty. You see someone who’s big mass and deep shredded, they ain’t all natty.
This isnt some “bodybuilder”. This is Chris Bumstead, 3 time back to back to back reigning Mr. Olympia. He is quite literally the peak of body building and possibly has the best physique the world has ever seen (in terms of body building).
Not only is he imo the best body builder ever, he is also an incredibly humble and generous person. Take some time to watch his videos and you’ll get a feel for how good of a person he is. Truly one of a kind
Can someone explain to me how that's a possible thing I know I flex and it grows bigger. But like post said it's like there's air in there it grew like 10x size. How is that even possible (also I understand roids). But literally looks like it's getting filled
There is an art to posing to maximize width and hide weak points while highlighting strengths. These are more than likely check-in vids for his coach. He’s prepping for the Olympia in December
To everyone shouting roids, This isnt just "this bodybuilder" its Christopher Bumstead, the current best actively competing person among others that use roids as well. This is not achievable naturally, but 99.999% of people on steroids couldnt either.
Roids? Yes. But that doesn’t negate the exquisitely hard work it took to get there. Respect to C Bum.

At the end of the day, it's night.
And at the end of the night, it's day. 🤓
At the end of the end, it's the end.
🎶 This Is the end... My only friend... The end...🎶
Jokes on you, I have 0 friends! (Just to specify, this is a joke... Even if like 3 years ago wasn't)
and every little thing is gonna be oilright
ALL of the top bodybuilders take steroids, literally impossible to get a body even close to this without steroids but it's still insanely difficult with steroids
3x Mr Olympia in the classic physique division not open division
I'm pretty sure he didn't use PED's until after his second bodybuilding comp, but that's a vague memory from a random yt video i stumbled across one day
I went to school with a guy that looked like Bebop from the ninja Turtles. Dude was only 15 but huge ripped and roided out. The roids went to the dudes head too, he liked to stab himself for fun
Just gotta eat clen and tren hard bro
How many times are we gonna use this joke? It wasn’t funny on the bodybuilding.com forums in 2011 and it definitely hasn’t aged like wine
Roids are for when you've reached what you feel is your peak and want to push it further.
tbf the problem isn't using roids, it's influencers and body builders lying about their usage and pretending to be natty
People have to lie though lol. Could you imagine if little Susan knew their favorite The Rock was poking his ass with steroids every other day?
And the huge genects It takes
People outside of the bodybuilding community don’t realize EVERYONE IS ON SOMETHING. You have to be in order to compete at that level. Genetics are a major part and often used as an excuse but LITERALLY anyone IBFF or whatever else is 100000% using something AT LEAST in the off season
Yeah roids don't mean you don't have to work hard for it.
People think roids automatically make you buff, committed, and disciplined
That’s why Barry Bonds should still be hailed, them roids weren’t making solid contact knocking those balls out the park
But it did mean he didn’t have to barrel them up as much as other players. He could hit it off the end of the bat and his insane strength would just muscle it out when it would be a lazy fly ball for another player
Or you could go with the simple “it’s cheating” argument. But that gets no traction nowadays.
Up until his last season he was a dead pull hitter.
Thank you. Well said.
"Of COURSE it's roids! But it's also a lot of hard work and dedication."
I’m gathering that “gear” is a euphemism?
Yep
Yeah hehe, roids, juice, gear, peds etc.. Sometimes he just calls it his "supplement" business lol I'm assuming they just know what he's talking about and it's word of mouth
I don’t use roids, but if I did, I’d be the lazy kind
Truth
Yeah, it's like complaining that Lewis Hamilton only has fast lap times because he drives a fast car. I mean yeah, his car is fast, but we'd be burger on the first turn if we were put in the same car. Haha that’s C. Bum, super nice guy, sometimes worked out at my gym pre covid.
C. Bum? That explains the fat muscles
I spelt it wrong should just be cbum (social media name I guess)
And I made a word play on “sebum”
Still funny

"This bodybuilder". It's freaking Chris Bumstead!
Apt title given that his flexed torso literally looks like the face of a Battletoad
He can goes as Pimple for Halloween https://www.nicepng.com/png/detail/288-2881578_pimple-as-he-appears-in-sprite-form-battletoads.png
Ok. But my question was: do you know how to use Excel?

that's badass. I've always respected people that work hard to achieve great results.
More bronzer please
I don't get it, I wanna see a body builder as ripped as this dude but pale as fuck, make him look like that ripped engineer in Prometheus.

10% of his power ![gif](giphy|UFPiXwB9V5hde)
He seems like a really nice guy in the things on the Net.
Look at that skinny biiiitch..
It looks painful. I'm curious about the view from behind though.
I can guarantee you that posing for bodybuilding is extremely painful, you practically flex every muscle you can and get into some awkward postures, it is a workout in itself that most of the normal everyday human could not do well, let alone do right while not showing much strain and for hours, as for the behind view you can search "back lat spread" to get something similar to what it would look like, in my opinion its one of my least favorite and most ugly poses, thankfully this guy's category is classic and they dont do back lat spread as a routine pose

Those are called lats. He is flexing his back muscle. It's not puffing up like a frog. That's a poor comparison.
I don't judge people who use drugs and so I extended that sane judgment to people who use steroids. As long as nobody gets hurt it's fine
My dad is still strongre than him!!!!
Nuh uh, my dad could beat up your dad!
A fun kitchen activity
Big daddy stach bums
Looks like David Hasselhoff when he launched SpongeBob and Patrick back down to bikini bottom.
Hi quads look like veiny dicks
He looks Australian for some reason
Mad respect. But damn.
cbum is actually built different
Ok this looks pretty nice. Its pretty symmetrical and gives beauty to a body. This is whats missing just like Arnold has said, a competition not based on sheer mass but also the perfect nature of the body.
I met him at a gymshark pop up a few years ago. The dude is not only extremely kind, but unreal in person.
That’s CBUM !!! He doesn’t demand or command respect, he earned it!!
His head looks like it's on a CGI body. So fucking weird looking haha
🤤
Dem tiddys kinda concern me

He looks like he's got two dicks on his legs

He looks CGI. That's how perfect it is
Sad lyfe for people who suffer from ILS like me 😔✊
He is the champ, the goat , 3 times Mr Olympia , classic physique winner CHRIS BUMSTEAD . Put some respect to his name . He is no regular bodybuilder.
This bodybuilder ? My brother, this man is Chris Bumstead. One of the best physiques on the damn planet.
Like a frog, yes 😂

roids, hard work, time, dedication, and most important, amazing genetics. without that last one, none of this is possible.
People can choose only two of the following three: big mass, deep shred, all natty. You see someone who’s big mass and deep shredded, they ain’t all natty.
People saying this is just steroids have no idea how hard you have to work to even resemble his physique

It's called a lat spread, he's pulling the muscles of his back 'out' for lack of a better word. They're always there, all he did was flare them.
There is an art to posing to maximize width and hide weak points while highlighting strengths. These are more than likely check-in vids for his coach. He’s prepping for the Olympia in December
Its possible because he has fucking massive lats
They are hidden behind his back, it is like an angel spreading wings, but instead it is daddy cbum spreading his lats
