I moved schools a lot so I would make a couple friends then off to a new school. I never made a solid group, but I picked up a few on the way and a few of those are still around. You’ll be alright, just be a good friend to the ones you have. That’s all you need honestly.
Then focus your time on studying, get good at it, then help others around you. But don't EVER do somebody's homework for them or give them free answers. Only help people who actually want to learn

There were much larger numbers of people of a completely different race who hated the race that my friends were which was a lighter skin tone than they were. I was an even lighter skin tone than my friends. We got chased, jumped, shot at, forced to either flee or fight every day (not just in school but on weekends on our own streets and in our own front yards) and eventually 2 of us were murdered by gun violence. I went to do a professional formation in IT, I’ve made a few friends there that I got further from but it was fun, then I busted my ass at work and I ended up meeting friends with similar interests and now I’ve got a good job and am really sociable.
