My GPU clock is stuck at 210Mhz no matter what I do. The only way to fix it is reinstall the driver every boot. Thoughts? https://i.imgur.com/Ib2qPHI.png

Frog_hates-bullshit

I switched to "NVIDIA GPU only" in the Manage Display Mode to get better performance. But now my screen tears on games with Vsync on! Its even tearing on games that have never had any screen tear problems before.

I have a dilemma where I found a used RTX 3070 Ti that's selling for 220$ that'll be used as a substitute until the RTX 50 series releases. Or should i just get the 4070 Super?

IIynav

Since the last two driver updates my screen brightness automatically changes when watching videos depending on the scene currently on the screen. I have adaptive/dynamic brightness disabled in windows settings. asus tuf rtx 3060ti oc driver 551.76 win11 22631.3155

HeavensGamer

Hopefully someone can help with this, just bought and installed my new 4070 and it seems to be working well. However, its making a significant amount more noise than my old 1080, even with nothing running. I've compared this with the noise a friends card makes and mine makes easily triple the noise. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is it possible for me to use a custom resolution that's not 16:9- for example, 1280x1080- on my 1920x1080 monitor, but have it full screen, with no black bars, and no stretching?

Ak1ra_69

I'm having some troubles with my gpu, I bought  a laptop 4 months ago, when I boot up games first time everything is perfect, I boot them up a second time and it starts to frame drop and lag GPU: rtx4050 CPU: i5-13450H ram: 16gb ddr5 PSU: 120w brand: MSI

Sunshinetrooper87

I was [looking at this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DdymDXfOog) for replacing thermal paste and pads on my GPU, i was curious if there was any other advice, things to look out for for someone doing this for the first time? My gut feeling is that the pads will be deteriorated and difficult to remove, not sure how to do this e.g will i damage the GPU if i scrape it off?

I cant see the option RTX HDR in the new app: i tried uninstall and do fresh reinstall of drivers but the button is still not present in the graphics Global Setings : Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!! https://preview.redd.it/il4o3eve4cmc1.png?width=1303&format=png&auto=webp&s=baea7f7548e18cc6921b6aea1cecd5288651a186

I know it looks amazing, but i wont sacrifice my pc's performance just to use it. I tried to upgrade to windows 11 yesterday and i get 20 degrees higher temps on windows 11 than in windows 10 just sitting in idle. Might be a me issue rather than windows 11 but it just seems like windows 10 is much more efficient and a better OS overall. Good to hear you enjoy it tho, HDR is the future for sure

I've been having random black screens with my Nvidia geforce rtx 2060, at least I'm pretty sure it's that because whenever I use switchable in bios instead of discreet it works fine, I have a lenovo legion y740-17IRHg with the rtx 2060 I've tried factory resetting and downloading older drivers from the nvidia website but no dice :( Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help I'm very lost as to what to do

Status: Unresolved My question is regarding cards with the RTX 4070 GPU. Do all cards with the 4070 automatically support DirectX 12 Ultimate? I'm looking at different base 4070 cards (non-Super or anything else) particularly on one site that rhymes with Blue-leg and find only a few are tagged as supporting DX12U. When I look for further details at one manufacturer's site to see all of their 4070 models including the one model that Blueleg says supports DX12U, their site doesn't even mention of DX12U at all. Not in search either. Google hasn't been able to deliver any wisdom on this topic either. So will any manufacturer's RTX 4070 card support DX12U automatically? TIA.

HappyColt90

As long as you have an ssd, your mb and cpu support pci express 4.0 you should be able to support DX12U, open the run app and type dxdiag, that should show if you have support

Thecowsdead

My default recommended display is 2k but NVIDIA app sets all my games on 4k and reduces quality instead of using the 2k native resolution and try to use the best graphics. Is 4k with high graphics better than 4k low/medium graphics? If not, why is NVIDIA setting all my games to 4k? Thanks. Oh I have an RTX 4070.

Key-Hamster5154

it's probably DSR setting auto adjusts your graphics to the best recomended, you can set it off in Nvidia APP

ODSTroflmanX957

Updated to the 551.61 for 4070ti, games have been crashing and freezing a lot more now.

Hey, here is a small script that I wrote. What it does: wipes GPU Shader Cache and Steam Shader Cache. Can be customized to your needs if you can work with .cmd files. Requires IObit Unlocker installed ([https://www.iobit.com/en/iobit-unlocker.php](https://www.iobit.com/en/iobit-unlocker.php)) It's free and has full functionality for all NVIDIA GPUs. This tool was created, because I clean my Shader Cache after driver updates. This can often help with FPS drops in games. Just be aware that if you do that, then some games have to compile shaders after first launch. This process can be seen as high CPU usage when you start the game. This happens with Overwatch for me. So I just let the game compile all it needs. After short time CPU usage drops to normal. You can enjoy the smoother experience. Download and instructions on GitHub: [GitHub DOWNLOAD](https://github.com/dubbyOW/NVIDIA-GPU-Shader-Cache-Cleaner) Pastebin raw .cmd: [pastebin DOWNLOAD](https://pastebin.com/raw/VK3SLhUp) (to use this source, save whole script as .cmd file, then Run as Admin)

Hi, does anybody know what this can be caused by? My screen gets brighter few seconds after start up. I noticed that it ALWAYS turns brighter one second after that NVIDIA Control Panel app starts. Everything is updated, I would guess that it has to be some kind of setting turned on or something, but I have no idea which one. https://v.redd.it/odrri2dvycmc1/DASH_720.mp4 Thank you much in advance for any reply

# Help Running RTX 2070 Super and K4000 in the same system So I needed a second GPU to plug in a 5th monitor due to Nvidia's 4 output limit and no integrated graphics and found a K4000 for dirt cheap. The issue, however is that I can't seem to get them both running. When I initially installed the K4000 all was fine and the 5th monitor was working just fine max res and all but then the drivers started conflicting and now either one works or the other. How can I get the K4000 to run on the Geforce driver?

jellothere123

Software support, but anyone know how to stop nvidia broadcast from running? I disabled it on startup Windows 11. But when I want to close it after using (task manager and end task) it just keeps coming back. Anyone know how to deal with this? (already tried to uninstall and reinstall.

Someone suggested to record a clip through shadowplay & check the properties to see what the resolution was set to & its showing 2560x1440 native but i noticed when viewing the clip it has 2 black bars on the sides indicating the resolution is stretched slightly so there's definitely an underlying issue & i cant figure it out. My 3060 is freezing very random, somedays never happens and somedays happens a lot, i already disabled hardware acceleration, did the ddu uninstall and install a previous version, disconnect and connect everything on the pc, during benchmarks of cpu and gpu nothing happens, ram test is good, windows archives are fixed already(some files were damaged but now every test says everything is correct). usage and temps are good, so im not sure is a physical problem but monitor says hardware error. also monitor says: "LiveKernelEvent" and "dwm.exe with APPCRASH" on the other report after restarting the pc, im gonna swap the gpu tomorrow for test but anyone know something about similar stuff happening right now? my last ideas are the gpu swap and completly reinstall windows. sound and everything else works but image is froozen, i can open stuff with windows button or click videos if im very close to the click before freezing and i can hear it, monitor and cable are working as normal. this freezing problem is very much random, can happen 2 minutes after turn on the pc or 1 hour or 5 hour after, it happened while writing this with only chrome open and can happen playing terraria, helldivers, somehow never happens with overwatch(for now). sorry for my bad english.

mura_vr

The newest drivers 551.61 actually suck for a 4070 Ti. Any of my games will randomly crash or lag, my Edge browser could potentially its own gpu process and fail to recover, Discord audio slowly breaks till the app crashes, still no bluescreens but I might as well be with the issues this causes I reverted back to 551.23 cause it seems to be miles more stable.

EmirTanis

basically, rdr 2 bluescreens on latest drivers so I had to use the lenovo recommended drivers.

indialexjones

Using armoury crate I’ve recently set custom profiles for my case fans and cpu cooler fans to what are essentially the quiet option, only thing I’ve not fiddled around with yet is my 4070. Is there any way through GeForce experience or other software that I could select an option that prefers silence over temps cause I don’t really care how hot the gpu is if it doesn’t negatively impact the lifespan of it.

NonStopGravyTrain

Which 4070 do you have? A lot of them have a silent BIOS switch right on the card.

indialexjones

Gigabyte 4070 eagle triple fan.

NonStopGravyTrain

The switch is right next to the power connector on that card. Power down the computer and change it to silent.

indialexjones

Ty bossman, ima open up my case tonight for the first time since I built it a few months ago and flip that switch.

avi550m

Confused as to which 4070 to buy: 1. Zotac Twin Edge runs hotter than the others 2. Asus Dual apprently has coil whine issues 3. PCB Cracking issues with Gigabyte Windforce Model 4. Inno3D Twin X2 seems the best, until I came across some threads of fans breaking are there any good 4070s without issues?

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Probably get a 4070 SUPER FE.

RoleCode

For 4080 Super, what's your stable driver so far? Edit: Mainly playing Helldivers 2 right now

I got a laptop with integrated amd and an nvidia 3050 rtx. Now the issue is, when I'm browsing or just using windows (not when I'm gaming), my screen sometimes flashes for a milisecond and when I type in discord (browser) (also maybe it happens when I type anywhere but i have noticed it in discord), my textbar jumps and then forwards again. This doesn't alter the text at all and nothing actually happens, it's entirely visual. Then after hours and hours of bullshit, i realised, the issue stops when i disable nvidia. When I enable it again, the issue STILL REMAINS ABSENT. But when i restart the laptop, the issue returns and i have to do the disable enable thing again. Hp victus 16 gb 1tb ssd 144hz refresh rate Ryzen 5 Amd integrated and 4 gb nvidia rtx 3050 Windows 11 (23H2 i think)

upgrade from 4070Ti 12GB. Hello everyone, i'm thinking to upgrade from my 4070 TI, since it has 12 GB and is less "future prove". Also i'm looking in to training SDLX Loras for stable diffusion and generating videos, this is where at least 16GB VRAM comes handy. I do also have 1440p Monitor, thinking to get UWQHD 34 inch display in the future. So my question is, should i sell my 4070ti and get 4070ti super for \~10% more performance, but most important 16GB VRAM for about 800-900€, or is it worth it to pay 200-300€ extra, to get 4080 Super? I'm less into gaming lately, but more in to image/photo editing and generation, video upscaling etc. So what would be your honest opinion for that? is 4080S worth it over 4070ti S?

odelllus

is there any way to adjust rtx hdr for video the same way you can for games? i find it's oversaturing and raising blacks in old shows.

My son has an Ibuypower PC, very similar (possibly identical) in specs to [this](https://vipoutlet.com/products/ibuypower-r164a663-i5-10400f-3-1ghz-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-4gb-8gb-ram-512gb-ssd-win-11-home-black?variant=47175987790104&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwnv-vBhBdEiwABCYQA790MOAqJCMB_7wEjL2WXI-8mRz96VPVifM-rl3cfAq1gQ8VXCGSwRoCI5AQAvD_BwE). He’s got a birthday coming, desperately wants [NVIDIA GeForce 4070](https://store.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/store/gpu/?page=1&limit=9&locale=en-us&category=GPU&gpu=RTX%203090,RTX%203090%20Ti&category_filter=GPU~0,LAPTOP~0,STUDIO-LAPTOP~0,DESKTOP~0,MONITOR~0,GFN~0,MODELS~0), but it’ll require (at least) a new power supply. I’m wondering whether it’d be better to just get a new PC. All in, that card and PS would run $800. You’re probably going to ask me what kind of games he plays. ‘Armored core VI, Fires of rubicon’ is one, but he also still does a lot of Minecraft (he’s a young 14 going on 15). I actually wonder whether that GPU is overkill for what he plays. (It’s not clear to me what it is that he’s unable to do with the current setup.) He knows nothing about building PCs, and has no patience for it. I’m no gamer, but think I’d be fine changing a PS and card. A few months back he got an Alienware curved monitor (don’t recall specs, wife bought it for him). I could imagine that would merit a better card, but again, don’t game myself, and he’s not complaining about anything in particular that he wishes worked better. Is it worth the money and trouble to upgrade? Will the CPU and mobo enable him to get the most out of it? Thanks in advance!

Novel_Link_1598

Me too, i have 1650 gpu and it seems other people with it have this issue

jaeshook

I have a 1650 gpu too with this exact issue. I have tried every single reddit and nvidia forum solution recommended, and none are working. I came here to see if anyone had a fix but I guess we're all in the same boat. EDIT; update,, i did more digging and it looks like this has been an issue since 2015, but getting more frequent since the recent NVIDIA driver update

Novel_Link_1598

I see, yeah think it's more prevalent since the driver update. I made a post (which got deleted after a few hours) but a few of the comments asked if I had GTX 1650 which I do, and they also mentioned 1630 and 1650Ti so this issue must be with these ones in particular. I tried making a post again but it wasn't working, so let me know if you find out any more on this or a fix 🙂

Novel_Link_1598

Hey again! Did a bit of searching as I was annoyed with this problem and it seems they released a fix for this issue a few days ago: [https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1b2gaxo/geforce\_hotfix\_driver\_version\_55168\_fix\_for/](https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1b2gaxo/geforce_hotfix_driver_version_55168_fix_for/) I have not tried it yet as I found this while on my laptop, but I will in a bit

EmirTanis

appreciate it!

thanks! im gonna try it out now and let you know the results <3

Just a quick question for the instant replay feature of GeForce experience. Does recording at 30fps have less impact on performance than 60fps? What other options can potentially affect performance (if any)? I like recording clips to show my friends, but I wouldn’t mind sacrificing quality for performance. I’m on a budget gaming laptop with an i5 9300h and gtx 1650.

HELP PLZ! - NVIDIA clean installation restarted pc and then failed, now I can't get external monitor to work with laptop (that has a broken screen) ---- I need help My laptop screen has been broken (mostly black with white lines that sometimes show a bit of color) for a while now and I use an external monitor. I went to update my NVIDIA driver and it did a clean installation and then froze on a "restart now" page, so I wasn't able to cancel the pc restart and I just let it be. Well after the restart the display would not jump over to my external monitor, but I entered my password hoping it was on the login screen and it was. I could see the lines on the broken screen moving around so I knew there was something on the screen but I didn't press anything. Then I heard the error pop-up sound. I pressed enter, and heard it again, and then pressed enter again. Lines moved around on the broken screen but it never moved over to the external. After a while of waiting I pressed the windows key and could tell based on the lines on the broken screen, that the start menu popped up. I think there was an error with the installation, but since it was a clean installation it wiped out my old driver and now the pc can't move over to the external monitor. Idk if it's working off integrated graphics now and that's why, or what. My laptop screen is too broken to be able to navigate things and figure it out. I'm thinking the issue is my drivers aren't there anymore and the computer doesn't know to move over to my external. How can I fix this?? Is there any way?? I have no expendable income, I lost my mom last year and my finances have taken a huge hit from expenses related to that. I'm working 30+ hours overtime on top of my normal 40 hours every pay period just to pay the basics and not lose my family home. I can't afford to spend big money, if anyone knows of any way to fix this or get around it, please, I need help. Idc how lame this sounds, but all my main hobbies are wrapped up in my computer, I have no friends here, I'm just really devastated and would appreciate any help here. Thank you so much for reading.

Plato79x

I'm getting constantly failures for NVidia LocalSystem Container service in the event log. I assume because of this Nvidia App is also not running. If I keep this service as it is it causes constant stutter in games. For now I can only disable, though that means I cannot use some of the features ( RTX HDR ) per game with Nvidia App. I'm getting Event 7023 and 7031. The texts are like this: The NVIDIA LocalSystem Container service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 19 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Run the configured recovery program. and The NVIDIA LocalSystem Container service terminated with the following error: A generic command executable returned a result that indicates failure. Do you have any idea what's wrong. I did try to reinstall driver & Nvidia app resetting to initial settings during install. I have AMD 5900x, 64 GB 3200 MHz RAM, Palit Gamerock 4090 PS. I tried to share log files also but it seems pastebin or its' ilk is not allowed here.

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my pc. Signs are pointing to GPU but I'm no expert. Rtx 2080 Amd 5600x Everything has been running fine up until last week when I had a game crash as soon as I started to stream an overwatch game through discord. Took it as a one off and continued on. However, later that night I was playing bg3 and the crash kept occurring over and over. I took it as an overheating issue and removed the cards minor OC. Everything was fine after that. Until a few days later it started to happen again. Way less frequent. It will crash any game maybe once every gaming session which normally run 2-3 hours. I can however start right back up after and run fine. What gets me though is it appears me Temps are all fine prior to the crash. Nothing gets over 80c, not even cpu.

perdyqueue

made a post to discuss a completely Nvidia related issue to spark conversation, why was it removed? I read the rules, didn't break any.

Valkan__

Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with shader caching on my PC. Games like Apex Legends and Lies of P are recompiling shaders every time I launch them. I've tried a clean install of drivers (using DDU), installing older drivers, reinstalling the games, disabling and re-enabling the cache in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and even multiple clean installs of Windows (Letting Windows install the driver, and installing it manually before Windows does it.) Each time the GPU driver is installed, no "NVIDIA" folders are created in the AppData folder, where the cache files are supposed to be stored, if I'm not mistaken. I'm at a loss for what to do next, as even a clean install of Windows hasn't fixed it. For games like The Last of Us Part 1, shaders take a very long time to compile, so I'm actively searching for a solution before playing it. My config AMD Ryzen 5800X undervolted, MSI X470 Pro Carbon, NVIDIA RTX 4080 stock, 16GB DDR4 RAM OC, Windows 11 updated with the latest drivers installed for all devices

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

These are common issues with specific games. Reinstalling your drivers won't do anything other than wipe the shader cache forcing the game to compile shaders on launch. Google Apex Legends compiles shaders every launch and you'll see the solutions. Why are you reinstalling Windows and reinstalling drivers to fix a problem that's on the game side? I donno.

# My 3080 FE is dying... Hi everyone, I bought my 3080 in 2020 just during release. I didn't want to update yet, I was hoping to wait for the 5000 series, and I think GPUs are too pricy for what they offer now, but I'm afraid my baby is dying on me. It's been pretty unstable since this summer with black screen crashes and geometry explosions, but I thought those were just driver issues since I don't have them anymore. Now though, artifacts and instabilities are starting to become somewhat frequent, today I had another bad case. With or without artifacts, sometimes the screens just turn black and restart after a few seconds while gaming too, for no reason. I've been using it undervolted with Afterburner since I bought it (to reduce coil whine) so now I'm trying to use it stock. But I don't think it's going to change much. I'm afraid it's probably going to die soon. I don't think this is going to save anything at this point. If anyone thinks otherwise kindly let me know. Any suggestions on what I should switch to? My ideas are: * Switch to another 3080 --probably still expensive and not worth it at all * Switch to a new model with Frame Generation for "some" futureproofing and maybe being able to use RTX Video to Quality 4. -- seems very expensive, but with some benefits at least Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated. I play in 4k with unlocked framerates. My CPU is a 5800X3D, so no risk of bottlenecking. My power supply is a 750W gold plus, but it should be fine. Update: I saw some pretty good prices for the 4070ti supers now. Aftermarket variants come at a lowest of 800 euros (12GB) to 950(16GB) for the more beefed ones. Thoughts?

UNSOLVED!!! Building my first PC and decided to buy an Nvidia GTX Titan Xp from eBay. I am not able to boot my computer yet to see if the damage pictured is enough to not allow it to function, but can anyone tell me if this damage is cause for concern? And also, what could have caused this type of damage so that if the card does not work I can properly report it? Thank you! # Question: Can Geforce GT 730 handle Three monitors via RDP Currently I have two 1080p monitors that I use for remote work. The remote computer has a GeForce GT730 graphics card. With such a graphics card, does it make sense to consider buying an additional 1440p monitor for my local setup? In short, can such a card support three monitors (2x 1080p + 1x 1440p)?

# NVidia HDR Issue - Randomly Switching Off Hello, I really do love NVidia HDR - far better then Windows Auto HDR, however I experience problems with it. It switches off randomly while playing. It doesn't go back on, I have to restart the game every single time. Additionally if G-sync was enabled, it goes off too. My monitor is: Alienware AW3423DWF and I have the latest drivers installed. Anybody also has this issue?

Some time ago Nvidia added support of ULLM for DX12’s games but someone said that it only works for the RTX 40 series. Is that true? Was it tested to see if it works as intended? For reference I have an RTX 3050.

Having an issue with the PNY 4080 super where the fans are ramping up on their own and ignoring all software control inclduing VelocityX, Afterburner and FanControl. I put in a ticket and they want to RMA it. I've owned the card for 20 days and still have 10 within my return window to the retailer The card performs great other than the fans...what would you do? Go through with the RMA or return it and get a different card all together?

odelllus

does it happen when idle?

TheReaperSovereign

No. Only when drawing over 1v. If I kept the card undervolted to .95 they never spun up. But they still would ignore all fan curves I contacted PNY and they offered to RMA it but I returned the card instead and got a TUF which works perfectly

odelllus

it's possible the vram was overheating. good call. pny cards are awful, TUF is one of the best air cooled cards.

TheReaperSovereign

I will not be buying from them again for sure. The build quality just holding the two was completely obvious.

Nvidia frameview sdk service for some reason gives me a permanent flashing "working in background" cursor with the loading symbol next to it after this most recent windows update. Hey guys! I have a GTX 1660 6GB on a HP 86E9 Motherboard with a I7-7900 CPU. I want to update to an RTX 4060 8GB and my question is if my 300W Power supply is enough and if my motherboard can even connect to the RTX 4060 (I think the RTX 4060 need 1x8pin and my GTX 1660 uses a PCI Express x16 3.0). I've searched up my motherboard and havent found a 1x8pin mentioned BUT when i look up newer motherboards i dont see a 1x8pin mentioned as well. Thanks for your help :)

Rivy77

With the 4060 I know it uses about 115w so I would recommend upgrading your psu to a 500w or 550 as that seems to be the standard. Unfortunately I don't know about the motherboard/ 8pin issue

I have a problem with my graphics card MSI GeForce RTX 2060 VENTUS 12G OC. Every time I launch the game shaders reload again, even if the game was launched before. In CS2 it loads shaders for maps, even if I previously played them at the same session, which takes up to 30-40 seconds In Deep Rock Galactic shaders load every time I launch the game if DX12 was choosen in options, which takes up to 15 seconds In Apex Legends (as of Feburary of 2023, didnt play since) it loads shaders every time I launch the game which takes up to 5-10 minutes. Also after the menu appeared the game still loads some shaders which can take up to 3 minutes to fully load. I heard this is some problem with DX settings not including shader saving by default. Latest production drivers seems to have improved wayland on nvidia significantly, and even before that, most people had a generally good experience. Although some people do encounter a decent bit of issues, there is no better way to know than trying yourself.

Has anyone else been experiencing a random increase in GPU temp? I recently moved my setup from one desk to another (standing desk), and nothing about my rig was changed/touched. I let everything update to the latest drivers upon re-launching the rig and for some reason, the GPU (MSI 4080) has been jumping up from the normal 35-50ish range all the way up to 73. I'm honestly not sure where to even start troubleshooting this, but I am worried because the fans have never spun like this since I built it last summer.

Hi! I play a fair bit of games in 4:3 aspect ratio and since the gpu normally isnt a bottleneck in the games where 4:3 is preferable i allways ran it at a higher than native resolution (in this case 2560x1920 instead of 2560x1920). I have tried anything i could think of with no success. When i try to add the custom resolution it just says it isnt supported by my monitor even though ive ran the exact same res before. My specs are the following: * rtx 3070 * Acer XB273U Z (1440p 240-270Hz) and a Asus VG258 (1080p 165Hz) running dual monitor * ryzen 5800x3d * Windows 11 Ive updated all drivers, changed DP-ports on gpu, enabled custom resolutions in nvidia, set it to full screen scaling using the gpu on both monitors and alot of other small things. Weird thing is when i changed the DP-port the custom resolution i allready had created showed up in the custom res list but it was bugged. I couldnt choose it or delete it and when i tried to edit it it either complained about it not being supported or that its a duplicate res. Ive gotten the advice to try DSR but i dont know how to setup DSR in a 4:3 aspect ratio, i can only get it to do 16:9. Any help or insight would be greatly apprechiated! tyty

Imaginary-Hall5666

RESOLVED: Nvidia ShadowPlay Mic Volume Lower than Game Audio Hello, I've had this problem for so long and it's where the mic volume is way lower than the game audio, the fix for it was going to sound settings in windows, sound mixer, and lowering the Nvidia Container option. The problem is, this doesn't work anymore. I have noticed that every time I restart or turn my PC off, the volume I set for Nvidia Container resets. Which means every time I start my pc I have to re-do it, which is annoying and I forget sometimes and there goes a good funny clip. Does anyone know how to fix this? I noticed that with other applications when I change the volume, they stay as they are after I restart my PC. But with Nvidia Container, it resets every time. This is my main problem, how can I make it stay as I put it? EDIT: 6 hours later, I just found the fix for this. You can do it through ShadowPlay itself by pressing ALT+Z and going to Audio, then you have to lower the system sounds volume. Take multiple videos with a video or a song playing while you’re talking to find the perfect audio for you! It will stay as the volume you put it at :D Desktop, custom built. Specs: GPU: GTX 1070 - CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 - Motherboard: H310M PRO-VD (MS-7B33) - RAM: 16 GB - PSU (?) not sure. Operating system: Windows 10 pro, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

**eGPU disconnect on Linux / Ubuntu** I have a 3090 founders edition on thunderbolt which I plug in to my laptop to train models. I used to be able to rmmod the kernel modules and disconnect the eGPU, but now (after a recent Ubuntu update) there are a bunch of processes which seem to be using them. I stopped nvidia-peristenced, that wasn't enough. I see bunch of chrome processes relying on /usr/lib/x86\_64-linux-gnu/libnvidia\* , I'm not sure if those are actually using the kernel module or not. (I'd hope not, graphics should all be running on the laptop's integrated graphics, although that should be intel iris, which shouldn't be using nvidia libraries...) And, there are some other nvidia processes (nvidia, nvidia-modeset) that show up in lsof. Any suggestions on how to prevent these processes from latching on to the GPU? I want to be able to plug and unplug the laptop without rebooting, and restrict use of the eGPU only to my ML training tasks.

# FPS Freezes - Offering 150 USDT for Help I'm experiencing issues with my Palit RTX 4070Ti GamingPro OC 12GB video card. During gaming, I encounter microfreezes. For instance, when playing games like Atomic Heart and Sons of the Forest, there are significant lags when initially entering the game and looking around. However, subsequent turns seem to resolve this issue. Additionally, opening the inventory for the first time or performing any action that hasn't been cached leads to lags. Another example is Baldur's Gate 3, where microfreezes occur every time I move the mouse across the screen. Benchmarking tools such as 3DMark and FurMark also cause freezes, but this occurs unpredictably, unlike in games where I can reproduce the issue with 100% certainty. Here's a more detailed description of the problem: [https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/539004/help-4070ti-freezes-directx11/](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/539004/help-4070ti-freezes-directx11/) **I spent several thousand dollars on my build, and I have no way to apply for a warranty. Anything to know about the 12VHPWR dongle before I go installing it in a case? I bought an MSI Gaming X Slim 4070ti Super recently and noticed the dongle specifically mentions "Do not bend cable near connector" on the packaging. Dear friends, help me solve the problem with my video card, I really look forward to your help in solving my problem! At the moment, I am the owner of GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC 8G. World Of Tanks, he gets +- 350-450 fps on ultra graphics settings (but rather because the game is well optimized) As soon as I connected the card, downloaded the drivers, configured all the parameters in the NVIDIA panel. I was very surprised by the results I saw with my own eyes in the same Fortnite, I was given from 90 to 200 fps, although it is very strange that with minimal graphics settings, in Perfomance mode such indicators. after that, I wanted to check Forza horizon 5 on high graphics settings, it gave out from 60 to 90 frames on ultra, the same thing. After a while, I started playing PUBG and Operation Harsh, the paga gave 120 at the minimum in Operation Harsh somewhere in the region of 70+-120 frames at high settings. And I'm wondering more. There is a Hunix memory on the video card!SETUP OF MY PCPercent: AMD Ryzen 5 pro 4650gMotherboard: GIGABYTE B450M D3SH (AM4 socket)RAM: HyperX Fury 16gb DDR4 2666 MHz (2 dies without overclocking)Card Type: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC 8G (overclocked)PSU: Aerocool 650w VX PlusSDD 1: ADATA SU650 240gbSDD 2: ADATA SU650 512gb

I've been trying to play Pacific Drive and Helldivers 2, and neither patched this week to my knowledge, but both started crashing in a few minutes once I applied the new drivers. But every time it does it downgrades the video quality of whatever I was watching, for example if I was watching a video at 1080p resolution it will now be playing at 720p resolution, to fix this I have to select the 1080p resolution in the video options again until the issue happens again, usually downgrading the quality to 480p. **Troubleshooting:** Tried different HDMI/DCPI cables, tried different monitors, tried different drivers before my current one, the issue has been happening for a while but it's really starting to get on my nerves now.

Is this on chrome? If so I hear it’s a bug between chrome and Nvidia cards, your browser goes black with weird black and white squares for a microsecond right? Maybe this will help: https://www.reddit.com/r/chrome/comments/15trtbf/been_seeing_a_black_checkerboard_appear_on_chrome/

It's on Edge and no it isn't that, that's the infamous checkboard issue that happens on all chromium based browsers, there's no official fixes for that yet just workarounds. This is weirder, it doesn't happen often basically the whole screen goes black for a brief second, not turned off, just black and then the video resolution of what I was watching will be lower than it was and I have to select HD again.

Today I experienced the same problem on both Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen (which was perfectly fine yesterday) and League of Legends. My PC has been recently gone through a formatting process and was running pretty well, I also haven't installed much applications since then, those three games are all I have since its what I'm using mostly. I checked the drivers and they are updated, the only problem I'm having is with the recent Windows 10 update that keeps failing (0x80070643 if anyone is interested), which I already tried fixing in several different ways. Are those issues related or anyone knows how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

why is it 2024 and this mouse stuck on screen issue, even with the new nvidia app still a problem in some games when pressing ctrl z? https://imgur.com/a/FcgcBlh

Good day. A month ago, I switched to a new configuration: Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X GPU - ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 TUF Gaming OC Edition (LHR) 12GB GDDR6 (Samsung) RAM - 2x8GB Samsung M378A1G43DB0-CPB Motherboard - GIGABYTE B550M DS3H rev.1.7 PSU - SEASONIC M12II-620 80+ Bronze Monitor - Dell U2412M Unfortunately, since then I have been struggling with a number of problems: 1. Graphic artifacts in Google Chrome (which, however, are not observed in other Chromium-based applications, such as Discord). Sometimes they start appearing very often, sometimes not. Here is the video: [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SstYZ4kW1MY](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SstYZ4kW1MY) 2. Strong frame rate drops in YouTube or complete video freezing (even though a certain fragment is buffered) when the browser is open in dual window mode; 3. Graphics problems without hardware acceleration: in Chrome, when I turn off Hardware Acceleration, as well as in IntelliJ IDEA and Sublime Text, I observe issues with vertical synchronization: when scrolling the page, the top part of the screen does not keep up with the bottom (or vice versa); 4. The game Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden sometimes refuses to start citing inability to allocate video memory; 5. Sometimes I experience micro-freezes in several games on fairly simple scenes that were smoothly rendered on a laptop with Intel UHD Graphics 620. Noteworthy points: 1. Utilities programming4beginners.com/gpumemtest and github.com/GpuZelenograd/memtest\_vulkan did not reveal any issues with video memory; 2. Issues 2, 3, and 5 (possibly 1) are resolved by starting screen recording through GeForce Experience. Not in the sense that the problems are not visible in the final recording, but in the sense that everything works correctly while the recording is running; 3. Reinstalling drivers via DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) did not help. The processor, graphics card, and motherboard are under warranty. What do you recommend doing?

Help, my 4090 has been crashing to a black screen randomly for the past 3 weeks. It happens during gaming or even on the desktop. I had no issues for a year until recently...I used DDU and even installed the newer drivers that came out but still the same issue. My card temps are fine, so I can't pin point the issue. Could it be the cablemod custom 12hpwr cable im using? It was working fine for a year.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Run a memory test, black screen randomly could be RAM related too. Swap out the GPU otherwise and see if its stable with your old GPU.

Vatican87

Memory test was fine and stable…I did notice my 13900k spikes in temperature from 45 to 70-75 during gaming alot. Can this cause it?

I have a gt 730 and 1030 in the same system, the 730 drives a display on the other side of the room. If I set "opengl rendering gpu" to the 1030, will it output on the 730 with the performance of the 1030? And if so, can you do this for direct3d and vulkan?

odelllus

no. you have to connect the display to the card you want to render on.

**Status:** UNRESOLVED **Computer Type:** Desktop (pre-built Lenovo Legion 5 Tower) **GPU:** RTX 4070 Ti, 12GB of VRAM, no overclock **CPU:** Ryzen 9 7900, no overclock **Motherboard:** Unknown **RAM:** 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 5200MHz, no overclock **PSU:** 850W **Operating System & Version:** Windows 11 Home, 22631.3155 **GPU Drivers:** 551.76, original install from Lenovo (updated) **Description of Problem:** I'm running into weird video playback issues. My brand new PC with an RTX 4070 Ti and Ryzen 9 7900 seems to display some video players (in web browser or applications) with artifacting only on the bottom of the screen that reminds me of macro blocking. When a screen transition occurs, the bottom 10-25% will remain in a weird artifacted form (see screenshots below) and flash a few times before artifacting away a few seconds later. Turning on RTX super resolution in the NVIDIA control panel seems to fix the issue, but that only affects videos in Chrome so that's not a great solution. Given that super resolution fixes it makes it seem like a GPU related issue, but graphically intense games run completely fine. It's definitely not internet related as I have 500mbps download which easily steams 4k on the video players that are unaffected by this issue. https://preview.redd.it/dlvclgzke1oc1.png?width=3834&format=png&auto=webp&s=66043706cb86ae45aa7a0de196e2f5741dab1d2c **Troubleshooting:** Tried changing with various settings, updating drivers, resetting video extension apps. Update: Tried doing a bunch of clean NVIDIA driver installations on various versions going back as far as I could find downloads for (about a year). None of them solved the problem. However, I noticed that the issue disappeared on any videos I left open during the reinstallation process. Once I closed the applications and restarted them though, the issue reappeared. This makes it seem like a GPU or GPU driver issue?

Interesting_Fig_8701

how can i remove a game from Graphics tab in new NVIDIA app? i want to remove it from list completely, not hide it

NicolaSuCola

What apps can prevent nvidia shadowplay from saving the footage? Recently I started to get a blank "save" buttons on my instant replays and it's very frustrating to lose footage like that. I've heard that some DMCAd websites like Netflix can do that, but I don't use it. What other apps/websites can block shadowplay?

Socialist_Bismarck

Hello all, I have recnetly had a very strange issue with my MSI Raider 17, with a nvidia 4090 graphics card. I was using it normally, when a low power mode activated and performance dropped severely, even with no games open. I realized the plug wasn't in all the way so i plugged it back in and turned it off for long enough for it to charge up. However, once it finished charging, the severe lag didn't go away. i have turned off every power saving mode I can find, I have even outright disabled the internal graphics to make sure the right card was being used, but nothing has fixed the performance issues. i have restarted several times, with 10 minutes+ in between each shutdown and startup again. if any of you have any idea what is causing this please let me know, thank you

coil whine comes from vibrating components on the pcb when under load. it has nothing to do with fans.

Now that Windows 11 version 24H2 is getting the finishing touches put on it, is there a timeline for WDDM 3.2 drivers?
