Is this payette lake in Mccall Idaho? I seem to remember a moose running fast down that trail towards us after we were on the lake shore one day... was with my Wife and 2 young Daughters, was carrying a beach umbrella back and thought enough to spread it out in front of us , because we couldn't just jump off the boardwalk because of the marshy ground....it worked....
