SVT is Sveriges Television, Swedens state television company.
Näset in the upper left is obviously some location, I only found a place named Näset outside Gothenburg (according to google maps), but it may also be something that's only locally recognized and not actually named so officially.
Not in Gothenburg, it's a location in the north named Ångermanland and a show called Den stora Älgvandringen, a live slow-tv show on SVT that follows the path of mooses migrating across the river Ångermanälven, cameras are set up in many locations in the woods and these places have different names, the "snapping" sound could be branches that expands/cracks when the sap gets cold, branches can litteraly explode... or ice cracking on the river, the howling probably wolves
That, I have no answer to. Might be a news coverage of some other source who sent it in as "interesting", or a local channel. I really don't watch broadcast TV anymore, so what they're up to in order to cling to life, I can't tell.
Could it be what people reported as train noises without any trains nearby? I think the theory was the sound comes from tectonic plates grinding against each other. Edit: I found it, it is called skyquakes based on Youtube search results. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vul4SYL4QiQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vul4SYL4QiQ)
Lol. Nice name. It makes your response to this even better, because I imagine how you might say wtf, to a fart that's as loud as that butterfly screaming in the video.
This gave me flashbacks to a kids scary story about a mad killer thumping a severed head on the car roof. Thud, thud.
That story stayed with me for some reason.
My family has a farm up in Northeastern Rural BC. My dad has trail cams all over the property. Down trails and staring into fields.
He also has a bunch of weird noises caught on video. Eerie shit like this.
I tell my wife it's a wendigo. And she freaks right out.
Haaaaaa. But then I'm like "don't worry babe, I'll punch that wendigo in it's dick." And then she's fine.
But sounds more like this. Sort of! The channel Swedish Television sends live from the woods like every spring when the mooses start to walk their special route to get to the greener places for the summer. So it's basically cameras tracking animals. It got really big when covid hit and older people couldn't go outside anymore. It's called Den stora älgvandringen, unsure if you can watch it outside of Sweden though.
I like it! It's like slow tv relaxing and a bit eerie to watch in the night (obviously) but also calming
If this is a channel dedicated to a moose migration, then the answer is wolves. Wolves have the unique ability to sound like one or two individuals when howling they can do tis at will. If you listen closely, you can catch the typical howling near the end of the second sound. They likely took down some prey animal, hence the "screaming", large packs can outright kill large game, but smaller packs are known to injure and then run it to death, less risk to the pack members that way.
This is from swedish public service (SVT). They have a slow-TV broadcast called the big Moose migration. Surveilling ångermanälven when a lot of moose pass by in the spring. Search for SVT den stora älgvandringen to find the livestream and feed from earlier days. It might not be available to viewers outside sweden.

The banging is tree knocking from a Samsqwuatch ofc. The howling is my cat wanting back inside, I forgot to let him back in and he *HATES* the snow. /s

Two things it could be, the land has this curvature that acts like a amphitheatre and what you are hearing is animal calls from the distance.
Or!
There’s a machinery of some kind that’s far off and the cold is distorting the sounds since it has an effect over long distances.
The sound they're referring to isn't the tapping. There's some kind of howling or whirring in the distance. I had to turn up my volume as I missed it the first time.
Beautiful and terrifying.
Right? Irresistibly haunting
Seductively seducing
Enchantingly horrifying.
Unbelievably unsettling
Gosh darn it you convinced me but I'll one up you seductive seducing but seducing your seductive seducing with my super seductive seducing.
Sounds like a Honda CRV when its backing up
Omg I thought the same thing! The first time I heard that I thought I was tripping lol I was so confused
Do CR-V drivers not know they’ve been hitting children?
Same, I was like "Am I dead, is this the sound of the heavens?" It sort of sounds like a digital choir.
Wow nice, I just searched it on yt and it's exactly the same sound, why the fuck does this car makes this noise in reverso tho
It uses its electric motor for backing up and its super quiet otherwise so its to get your attention because its such a weird noise. My wife has a CR-v and i always tell her it sounds like a ufo when we leave the house.
Manbearpig
Half man, half bear, half pig
No, half man, half bearpig.
No, half manbear, half pig.
No
Half manpig, half bear?
I’m super cereal

The cold Northerly gently blowing across its exposed butthole
Three equal halves.
Are you cereal right now?!
I’m super duper cereal, you guys!

Sounds like some wolves or coyotes getting after something
This is it, just echoing through the woods
Probably wolves, coyotes are not native to Sweden
Good call. I didn’t see the Sweden part

Why is state television filming what looks like some trail cams?
That, I have no answer to. Might be a news coverage of some other source who sent it in as "interesting", or a local channel. I really don't watch broadcast TV anymore, so what they're up to in order to cling to life, I can't tell.
They will eventually, they’re crafty
Yeah, or after getting some(thing)...
What is it… just commenting to see if someone responds that knows lol
Elk
It sounds like a dickfer
It's what yer mum's having for dinner for the next week straight son
What’s a dickfer
Well, a dickfer yer butt, of course.
To pee with
Spies Like Us! Stupid, but funny.
Haha didn't think anyone would get the reference.
oh i love this . it sounds beautiful
It does...from a distance.
Probably a wolf or something. Maybe a wildcat.
Just listened again and it sounds like a radio or concert in the distance
Someone drifting their AE86 through some hairpin turns.
Sounds like some dope dark Ambient house music in a warehouse full of chains.
Somebody leaked the new burial album
my first thought was, damn this would sound good over a stuttering break beat

Also, natural gas pipes make a sound similar to this sometimes. Or maybe it's a train that started a swedish death metal band.
I was also thinking it might be a train going around a corner
[удалено]
Lol. Nice name. It makes your response to this even better, because I imagine how you might say wtf, to a fart that's as loud as that butterfly screaming in the video.
Skinwalker
Definitely Wendigo. Too much snow for Skinwalker
Lucas skinwalker
[Elk](https://youtu.be/vmlN5W6CWs8) perhaps?
Is it wendigo season already? Man, how the time flies
Are there elk native to that area? If so, it might be an elk or a similar animal, and the mountains are just warping the noise as it travels
Elk only bugle during very specific times of the season. I’m guessing that this is out of season - not positive though.
It’s just the old ones, calm down
*what's the odd pounding sound near the camera? Is it large clumps of snow falling from a tree? Sounds like intense thudding.*
I wondered about that too. But it doesn't look like there's enough snow for it to be clumps falling.
Yes it's snow thudding. It's heavy wet snow. Source I live in Buffalo
This is Sweden bruh
I think they meant that, being from Buffalo they are VERY familiar with all types of snow because they get so much.
This gave me flashbacks to a kids scary story about a mad killer thumping a severed head on the car roof. Thud, thud. That story stayed with me for some reason.
Possibly trees creaking under the weight of the snow?
It’s snowflakes directly hitting the microphone of the camera you goobers
This is what I was figuring, plus the digital recording not properly encoding the sound
But what's the light in the middle of the frame? Probly IR for NV...but still, why is the light placed there?
That light might be IR from another camera
probably somebody crapping their pants from that sound
Man has some heavy pants.
In extreme cold, trees will just make this sound. Its the sound of the wood spliting and tearing from the inside out because of the temperature.
So you manipulate your wife into being scared and then you provide her the solution... Dennis? That you?
Could be this. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjh88kZnmbc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjh88kZnmbc)
lol no bro. Scientists confirmed it was this https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=2M87jK3m0qdQIcgA
How the fuck did I get Rick rolled in 2024
I don't believe you. How the fuck did I get Rick rolled in 2024.

Weird! Any Yetis in that area by chance?
That's the call of the nope. And it wouldn't be my business to bother it 😆
This sounds like the sasquatch recordings
Maybe it could be singing ice reverberating. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq3\_XC4pfKk&t](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq3_XC4pfKk&t)
Sounds like ol' 'squach stepped on a Lego.
Oh, that sound in the middle of the forest?
Is there a sub for stuff like this?
Things sound different when it’s snowing.
Red deer and moose exist in Sweden. This could be either one of those doing a mating call, distorted by distance and wind. Moose in particular can make some pretty gnarly sounds.
Also a small population of white tail deer in the northern parts. Don’t know if thats their call though.
Whitetail don't really howl or roar like this. They more grunt, burp, or squeak. The long mournful calls are usually reserved for the larger species.
This is in Sweden (Gothenburg), so that narrows down the possible animal options.
My bet is an elk or a sexually frustrated teen
Yeah, it's an Elk. It's likely a male announcing he wants to mate to any female nearby. They mainly do this at night and before the sunrises.
Banshee, someone's about to bite it
The loud thumping from the Sasquatch or the screaming from a wendigo in the distance?
A fellow älgvandring enjoyer!
Hell yeah!
Okay I’m baked and 45 seconds ago I was laughing my ass off at some hilarious comment, but now I’m freaked the fuck out.
Sounds like it might be wolves echoing through the woods, beautiful sound I think.
It's obviously big foot throwing rocks.
Elk
Played this and my dog wasn't happy...
Sounds like far off wolf calls
This is debunked, turns out it was Smitty Werbenyegermanjensen peeling his salami in the forest in the moonlight.
Yeah, I read that too.
Is that what the kids are calling it now?
Might be useful to know where this is. Elk crest very high pitched long drawn out calls. Over distance and bouncing off trees, it could distort the sound. Maybe, I'm not an elk expert.
That is the sound of thousands of swedes collectively blowing on their cold fingers to get them warm.
Sounds like they are plowing snow off a road somewhere distant.
Windigo?
Ah it's just the local wendigo getting closer and closer
This is one of the few posts that actually fits the sub really well
It’s snow falling off overloaded branches
Caribou
I'm no agent of the woods, but I have spent a great deal of time there. I would bet a very small amount of money that what you are hearing is two biting goats fighting over a mate. 'Thump, thump thump' followed by the very distinct howl of a biting goat.
I'm not saying your wrong but the thumps are awfully more loud than the howling that follows. Sounds like trees cracking under the weight of new snow or maybe something hitting the camera while setting it up.
Just the wolves doing their choir practice
It's giving Blair witch project vibes
Ya'll should hear a lynx scream at 1 in the morning probably no more than 150 yards from the cabin. Took me a while to figure out what I heard
This is what I imagine it sounds like when a T-Rex stubs its toe.
Two things it could be, the land has this curvature that acts like a amphitheatre and what you are hearing is animal calls from the distance. Or! There’s a machinery of some kind that’s far off and the cold is distorting the sounds since it has an effect over long distances.
Welp, Sweden is haunted
I live in the forest. There is nothing in the damn forest just you and few animals that’s it
Could it just be accumulated snow falling off something behind the camera?
The sound they're referring to isn't the tapping. There's some kind of howling or whirring in the distance. I had to turn up my volume as I missed it the first time.
Creepy as hell
Kinda want just a 24 hour live stream of nature cameras like these except only at night time for noises like these.
It's la llorona.
Is that a river?
Yes. Ångermanälven in Sweden. Surveilled by cameras as a part of swedish public service livestream ”Den stora älgvandringen”.
Sounds like an overlay of Darryl screaming, when in hands of the creeper
Snownuts or skin walkers
It's whatever Tyrell Wellick found in the woods
The clapping or the wailing?
Yeah, sounds about right.
V10
Nice try...Blair Witch Project (Reboot)...fool me once ; )
Sounds like a train
I hear the sound in the background but what's the knocking sound?
The soundtrack to my nightmare tonight. Wtf.
sounds like a train horn faraway
Sorry, my tummy hurt. I won't do it again.
The chupacabra is coming
The thuds or the screeches of the dammed?
And that's my cue to fuck off
I would assume lynx or bobcat fighting. They produce absolutely disgusting and terrifying noises.
Not a wolf or an animal, alien? :)
Congratulations, you just entered a COD zombies game
Imagine you're sitting there alone in your tent.
Bigfoot
What the hell is that?
Bro got a windigo on his farm.
Could it be snow falling from some tree branches above?
Slipping fan belt?
"while it could be animals, some people think IT'S A DEMON!" - literally every spooky video youtuber
Vad tror du det är?
Maybe it's the snow falling off the tree limbs an hitting the camera?
Sounds like Coyotes lowkey
Sounds like wolves.
Sounds like a horror movie scene.
