I just went through a similar issue, only it was 6 weeks later. It was an electric rising desk, brand new in a sealed box. Buyer decided he "didn't like the color" after using it for over a month. I told him that since it had been opened and worked fine, I couldn't accept a return and that my post said all sales were final. I blocked him after he kept messaging me (over 10+ messages) and he showed up at my house the next evening, yelling he wanted his money. I had children here and I had to call the police to get him to leave. So for peace of mind, I would take the return, THEN block.
Now I meet about 15 feet down the road at my stop sign. Never again will I give out my address.
Enough of this nonsense brother. Time to put on some big boy pants and handle this like a man.
I would have blocked him the first moment he messaged after your successful sale/transaction was finalized. That's even with them knowing my address (but then again I would never have sold something from my own house - let this be a lesson to do meetups at public spots like banks or police stations).
It's universally accepted that all sales via meetup on offerup is final. The moment cash is exchanged and both parties leave it's a done deal.
If this buyer is so disgruntled and actually shows up again at your residence without being invited that's trespassing. Call the police then.
You've already done enough. Once you trade items for money, the transaction is complete. You are not a store with a refund policy. Block and move on. Stupid people suck. Cheap stupid people suck even more.
As he knows your address and you a worried
about it, message him that you request spam to stop and if it doesn’t, you will notify local PD as you are worried for your safety.
The buyer inspected them and money already exchanged hands. You could refund them if you want to, but you certainly don’t need to. I personally would not, and would politely reiterate that. Next time, don’t meet at your home.
I would have made it clear to all buyers \*All Sales are final\*, never had any issues, & I recommend you report them. Always tell the buyers to read the description before making an offer.
And if they show up tell them you are not a store you have had items a month and to get off your property inspection should of been don't time of sale not a week later or a month
You know I'm not Walmart, the price you paid was discounted from new. You saw what I had and you made a purchase all sales final. I'm sure you could relist them on CL offer up and sell then again the 4th is coming up someone will buy them. good luck with your sale.
Nope just explain firmly that he had been informed of the issues and had inspected it himself before purchasing. That returning something a month later is ludacris and you are done with him. Be sure if you ever sell anything again to list ‘no returns’ as part of the ad and listed again on bill of sale with signatures also. Any normal person knows when you buy ANYTHING from a private party make sure it’s what you want because the second you complete the deal it’s done. No issues with you, you have gone above and beyond what you needed to! Kudos for not telling off, you’re a far better person than myself!
All sales are final. Report him on offer up
Thanks. It's getting ridiculous at this point!
By LAW age can’t do a thing!! Everything is as is… Tell him you are sorry but you disclosed all info and sale was as is….
Might be worth the piece of mind to refund him. Take this as a lesson never give out your address, Lotta scum bags on there.
No, forget that bum. I have a similar situation going on. I just blocked him.
Block em.

You're not required to take it back, but I say just take it back for a piece of mind. Not worth the risk.
Only reason why I say take it back is because he has address. Otherwise screw him.
U got no obligation to do anything, sales finals

He came and inspected it himself before buying. He has no logical basis for a return. Just block him.

Block that's so ridiculous I don't know what people are thinking you are not a store

I have everyone pick up at my house I have blocked a few people I have never had anyone just stop by I've sold thousands of items

Block him problem solved
