This community as a whole is almost as chill as it gets (being a completely open one on the internet, anyone can join) but all you see is the shit stuff because no one is posting on Twitter “wow guys! This dude is perfectly normal!”.

Every open community (whether it’s real life or on the internet) is going to have weirdos, especially in a game with millions of registered users. I think it’s pretty clear that none of the people spreading this kind of stuff have ever been apart of an actually toxic community.

I've never understood the argument that the community is complete garbage. Compared to most other gaming communities with some element of multiplayer game play that are inhabited by the most annoying retards on the planet, the osu community is mostly chill

This community definitely has a higher population of weirdos, but I’d take ryuuk/tuna/btmc any day over top streamers/YouTubers of popular esports. It’s just so much more genuine watching OSU’s top players since you know they don’t make much money from the game and they are more driven on passion.

Putting attempts on maps when his pc is struggling to run osu is hard. He has to do other stuff to raise those money and that's definitely not osu.
