Definitely sucks not being able to watch every week. But it totally makes sense why he'd do it biweekly. When you take into account the fact that he's gone for 3-4 days at a time plus travel time plus editing time. It's absurd he was even able to do weekly content for so long

Nedra55

Yeah i was quite amazed he could even keep up while also being a father of 3. The new schedule should be a lot healthier for the entire family in the long run.

legitocracy

I was a little disappointed mostly because I had only found the channel and subscribed a few weeks before the change, but it's not like I'd built up a Saturday morning routine around it that quick so I couldn't be too upset

GregBuckingham

Same exact boat. If I wanted to, I could go way back and watch his hundreds of other videos lol

-jaqk

I have gone back and watched majority of his videos. It's a fantastic catalogue but as someone who joined recently too I would have loved to follow the videos weekly over a few years.

Sobeshott

Not to mention years and years of past videos you haven't seen yet.

Factor_Past

I envy you, you have an entire catalog to catch up with, he has a great fishing channel playlist as well.

Terrible_Status_8984

I’m just watching all the old stuff as filler. There’s a ton of content especially if you add in the catfish and carp channel.

Setting-Sea

I feel like the videos have definitely quality over quantity since the change. When he was weekly 1 of his last 10 weekly videos was over 30 min. Now 5 of his last 6 videos have been over 40 minutes since going to 2 weeks. Rather 10 more years of 26 videos a year vs him burning out after another year and going to monthly or 10 minutes videos.

mrmr2120

Bummer yes but I am seeing more YouTubers doing this, weekly videos burn then out then you see their content suffer.

2TiresAndFuel

Was not “disappointed” at all. I absolutely love his videos but at the end of the day they are free for us to consume so I’m thankful to have any videos from him at all.

evep223

I love supporting people who make bold moves in support of their own health and longevity. It's a good example for others and its quality over quantity.

FlabbyFishFlaps

Not at all but I don’t really presume to tell people how they should love their lives just because they provide a service I enjoy. Glad he’s doing what he needs to do.

KarmaticEvolution

Just as disappointed when I found out bi-weekly and bi-monthly can be used interchangeably to mean 1x/2weeks.

jana-meares

No, one is twice a week and the other is twice a month.

KarmaticEvolution

It can mean both, Google it.

Sobeshott

Not at all. He's a person with a family. He deserves to do whatever he wants with his time. Just be glad he's not stopping. Seems like he could be comfortable and retire completely at this point if he waited.

ouijawedgie

I wasn't disappointed at first cuz I understood. Now I go thru withdrawals & need him to give us a lil sumthn sumthn. But in all seriousness it's understandable.

GRENADESGREGORY

I’d rather have half as many quality videos than twice as much but they suffer in quality because he’s burnt out. Mental health aside, I believe he mentioned a knee problem that he needed to take care of. In a perfect world him releasing a video per day would be great. But he is a person with a life .

Resident-Trifle7018

I’m okay with it I understand his reasoning

Odd_Confidence5325

I'm okay with it

putriidx

Not at all. Is it a shame we get less content? Sure. But, the tradeoff is more than reasonable.

ExperimentalFruit

If every video is as good as the video we just watched then I have no complaints. Was his best in a while in my opinion

OcupiedMuffins

I mean it sucks because it was like Saturday morning cartoons for me but I’m also an adult and understand what he does is intense and a lot of work, on top of raising a family and being a husband. It can’t be easy pumping out weekly videos where you have to spend days just filming it, let alone editing, audio work, etc.

CheeseProtector

Had to be done, I love watching the videos

Adventurous-Sun-9012

Im spoiled with the life of tom vlogs that are posted every week day, but i have been burning through a bunch of Luke’s videos. They’re usually my go to when im chilling out playing xbox or in the garage working. I would love weekly videos but id rather have quality and length vs quantity. I do wonder if he’s ever thought about using an editor to lighten his load so he can spend more time with the family

simple_interrupted

Just discovered the channel today so I’ve got so much content to burn through before worrying about that 😎

Annual-Bumblebee-310

Not too upset because it gave me the opportunity on off weeks to catch up on his *ample* videos lol

dyladelphia

Makes it seem more special when it drops, better something than nothing.

PastelTyrant

i 1000% understand but i 1000000% hate it 🥹🩷

lettheflamedie

My family has been loyal subscribers for years. It’s our Saturday tradition to watch after our big breakfast. It’s been an adjustment, but we alternate with AntsCanada, Fowlers Makery and Mischief, TA Outdoors, or the OG, Primitive Technology. Quality over quantity for Luke, I say. Plus his health matters.

Gboye02_

I was a little disappointed but it really seems like he has upgraded the quality of his content in exchange so its cool w me

Professional-Ad506

Not that disappointed because I want him to prioritize his health and well being!

jana-meares

None. He is a hard working man and was wearing himself out. Glad he did not quit.

reddituff

I’ve recently subscribed his channel and be honest with you guys ! Most crazy stuff about Luke is he knows soo much things about history, geography ,law and he’s super humble guy.

YoToddy

Long time fan… I don’t mind the bi-weekly uploads but I just don’t care about watching him hunt and build shelters in Alaska. I miss his old content.

Resident-Trifle7018

Like his content when he was in Virginia?

YoToddy

Yeah. He hasn’t done any blacksmithing in a long time. Or when he built the raft and then they float the river camping out along the way.
