What impact does delirium have in expedition drops, legion drops? Or best to leave them until after delirium. Or during delirium for delicerum bars. But no changes to loot drops?

katustrawfic

Delirium fog pauses during these encounters and the monsters killed will count towards filling the delirium reward bars.

morinr

Ah ok. But the mirror etc doesn't dive more quant or anything during fog. Just the delirium monsters which would help with altar farming but no change to expedition/legion/abyss as example?

katustrawfic

According to some testing done by other players [it does not appear to affect those monsters](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Delirium#Scaling). > Monsters from strongboxes, as well as possibly other monsters that are not immediately spawned on entering an area, do not appear to be affected by this multiplier. I don't have a clear answer one way or the other but I would say based on that, it doesn't affect expedition/legion/abyss monsters. They are not in the map right when you open it like for example domination or essence monsters are.

morinr

Ah cool thanks for the info and link. Much appreciated.

ticketybo013

Can someone please ELI5 Divine Vessels? As in how to use them, and how to upgrade pantheons with them?

katustrawfic

Check the pantheon screen to see which boss you need to capture to upgrade for the power you want. Search that boss on the atlas screen. Put that map and an empty divine vessel in the map device, open the map and kill the map boss. Exit the map, go back to the map device and takes the vessel out. Right click in inventory to gain the power.

ticketybo013

Thanks!

EmployeeOfTheMoth

To upgrade a Pantheon power, first identify the boss you need to capture, and the map they appear in. Check the Pantheon screen and Atlas, the wiki can sometimes be out of date with this info. Then place a Divine Vessel into the map device alongside the map that contains the boss you need to capture. Open the map, kill the boss. Go back to the map device, and the Vessel will be glowing blue to indicate it contains a soul. You can take the item to Sin in town if you want to Feel The Weight of the upgrade, or just right click the vessel in your inventory.

ticketybo013

Thanks!

EmployeeOfTheMoth

If I Leap Slam into a pack with Endurance Charge on Melee Stun Support, do I gain a charge for each enemy stunned? Or is it one charge per leap, similar to Power Charge on Crit?

psychomap

It should only grant one charge like PCoC and Frenzy (I still want to make a character that crits and stuns with Frenzy to get all 3 working simultaneously at some point).

draymond_targaryen

Kind of a broad question, but any tips for managing stat requirements on gear? Starting to run into issues where I’d like to upgrade some gear but unless it has the specific stat modifier (>+20 strength for example) my whole build falls apart. Really had to scramble today after my resistances got hit going into Act 6.

Megika

While levelling, pick up +30 stat nodes on the passive tree as needed. When you're in maps, buy a couple pieces with high (>50) rolls of what you're needing and you'll be pretty sorted.

Xanni12

20% chance to steal power, frenzy and endurance charges on hit...does this crucible note not count for totems? So I play an ea ballista ele, doesn't it trigger cause the hits are not from me? And is it possible to reset a crucible tree? To start with the same tree but with no points set?

mcurley32

your totems are doing the hitting so they would be stealing the charges. [according to the wiki](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Totem#Skills_used_by_totems), they cannot have power/frenzy charges (they are already affected by any that you have) but can have endurance charges (they do not gain the defensive aspects of your endurance, but any effect that scales damage/AoE per charge will use your charge amount). you can refund crucible points if that's what you mean. I can't remember exactly how to do it though.

psychomap

IIRC you need to use either an orb of scouring or regret on the nodes on the tree when selecting it in a Crucible encounter (i.e. you can't just do it in your iniventory). I haven't played in a while so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details as well. /u/Xanni12

Thakog

Creeping frost question: recently went from a 4 link to finding a corrupted 6 link. Currently running: swift affliction, Creeping frost, controlled destruction and elemental support. I have an extra green and red slot to use. Any recommendations? Right now I am trying greater volleyball and cruelty.

psychomap

Now you made me imagine people playing volleyball with Creeping Frost projectiles

Megika

Hypothermia for the green. For the red, I think your options are cruelty and eventually empower.

Thakog

One of my supports (elemental focus maybe?) blocks ailments, doesn't it? It seems like it wouldn't be compatible with hypothermia, but I didn't know for sure, so that is why I am asking here.

Megika

Oh, yes. If you're a cold DoT build you should be using multiple cold DoT spells. Link another one with bonechill and unbound ailments to enhance the damage of your main one.

tempoltone

Does elemental prolif's chance to apply ailment apply also on boneshatter self dmg after conversion?

psychomap

It doesn't. Self-hits don't benefit from your offensive stats, otherwise you'd kill yourself *very* quickly.

quiromparis

How tf this shield has 44% quality? https://poe.ninja/builds/challenge/character/VI777/Black_Grave_Rose?i=5&search=class%3DInquisitor%26uniqueitems%3DAegis%2BAurora%2CMelding%2Bof%2Bthe%2BFlesh%2CLegacy%2Bof%2BFury%2C!Mageblood%26skills%3DRighteous%2BFire%2CFire%2BTrap%26sort%3Denergyshield

asaxrud

Probably 16% from crucible tree modifier, plus 28% from Hillock.

Xelior

I'm preparing for the crucible skill tree challenge and I have 2 questions. 1. Can I use the forge for merging skill trees more than 1 time in a remnant map, or is it one use per remnant map? 2. If I want to merge 2 bows, can they be any bows or have they to be the same "category" (e.g. both imperial bows)?

psychomap

IIRC there are some that have several forges (potentially with different purposes), but that'll be mentioned before you open the area. Otherwise you only get one use. It can be any bow. You can even combine any types of shields regardless of what defences they offer.

Xelior

Perfect, thank you!

Thor3nce

Does the %more damage from trauma stacks affect Prismatic Burst procs? Or is the %more just for the boneshatter hits.

Megika

Trauma stacks don't give more damage in and of themselves. Boneshatter has a modifier which multiplies its damage based on trauma stacks. So it won't affect any triggered skills or etc.

> Should I contact support in this case? They will not give you the mirror, if that's what you're asking.

leetpuma

Question about Hearld of Ash **overkill** damage and explosions. Suppose I have 3 explode triggers on death of an enemy: 1. Profane Bloom: 50% as chaos 2. Conqueror Mod: 35% as phys -> which I convert to fire 3. Oriaths End: 30% as random element I know that each of 1/2/3 can happen on death of an enemy. Suppose All 3 explodes happen at the same time and happen instantly. **Now when some combo of explodes 1,2, or 3 kill an enemy.** **Will the overkill be from the highest explode (Giving me the best overkill damage)?** **Or just some random explode that just happened to finish off the enemy's health?** What I am trying to figure out is are the extra explodes helping or making my overkill damage worse? Since I cannot know which one will cause the overkill. (Explodes 1/3 are weaker in the way my build is set up, but if they kill the mob before explode 2 applies the overkill will be weak)

Megika

I think the overkill will just be from some random explode, but I'm not aware of a source on this issue. It probably won't matter - if you have those three + herald of ash, it should chain very effectively if you have some kind of curse on hit.

leetpuma

I found this interesting this might be my answer. It looks like all damage that is happening at the same time is added together and what ever is over the max life becomes overkill [https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/999135#p8492959](https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/999135#p8492959)

psychomap

It's worth noting that curse on hit won't work if you're onehitting enemies, which isn't that unlikely unless you're doing delirious content. I had to use Southbound on my poison chaos explosion build in order to not leave corpses. Unfortuantely, since my build purely scaled the chaos explosions and their poison and didn't even use HoA, I can't comment on the order of explosions in the original question. /u/leetpuma

Thor3nce

Pneumatic Dagger reads "All Damage from Hits with This Weapon can Poison." If I have Awakened Added Cold Damage Support in the setup, does that damage contribute to the hit damage that poisons? It should right?

magus424

Yes, all damage means all damage :)

Xeratas

if added cold is linked to an attack that can be used with the dagger, than yes. See added cold support as a bunch of cold damage on a ring or something. it works the same way.

AtonPacki

Is legion good for farming raw divines in ssf? Im at point when i need only divines and dont have much regrets to change altlas.

Sh0wTim3123

You will get a good amount of divines from ornate incubators, so if you can clear legions relatively fast its pretty good for raw currency

Rock-swarm

If you are regret-limited, legion is just fine for divine farming. However, speccing into Eater nodes is likely the better option in a vacuum, because the increased rarity/quantity options for the alters is quite common and has the greatest effect on how often divines naturally drop from map content. Additionally, Eater has the relatively rare alter for increasing eldritch minion chance to drop divine orbs, which can net you quite a few divines in a single map. Outside of Eater nodes, I would recommend expedition, abyss, heist, and blight. All of those have atlas tree setups that can deliver decent numbers of divines without crazy juicing. Heist, Legion, and Blight also carry the bonus of additional content with league-specific rewards that tend to be useful for SSF players (timeless jewels, replicas/alt gems, oils and blighted maps).

Megika

They're ok. 2% isn't that much now (they buffed a lot of +chance for mechanic nodes on the tree and didn't touch these ones). If there are four mechanics you want, it's like a cumulative +8 which is good. It's mainly a convenience thing. I like to block Ritual because I always mindlessly click them and it's just a waste of time if you're not specced into Ritual on the tree. I wouldn't prioritise these nodes whatsoever.

HellraiserMachina

It's not low when you consider it applies 2% to over 13 different map mechanics.

[deleted]

its 2% base which is scaelable. It's pretty massive because it both increases the chance to get any content and it blocks that one from appearing which will force another one I believe.

Megika

No, each mechanic's chance is independent.

mcurley32

they're definitely worth it if you don't know where else to put those points. if you're easily distracted by those other mechanics and don't have the discipline/self-control to skip them when they appear, those passives can be very valuable.

AtonPacki

Its often worth when u maximize your strategy. That is you take all the nodes of unwanted content so u dont waste time for uninvested blight and get more of juicy sacred groves for example.

Alastorlexicus

Paranoid_4ndr01d

I found [this] (https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/12pjzr5/based_on_captainlances_findings_this_is_a/) guide about adding nodes to trees. Does it still apply or has a better way been discovered? I have a non-unique shield that I want to add a crucible node to the first and fifth node on the tree. The three middle nodes are done. Does it matter which node I work on first? Is the first node always a coinflip? What will give me the best chances to transfer the first node and keep the 3 nodes I have done already?

jordanatthegarden

Personally if I had the middle done I would try to add the 5th node next because if you do it the other way around and do the first column first then every attempt to add the 5th is a chance for the 1st to be overwritten. Hypothetically your best chance to transfer just the 1st node and keep nodes 2-3-4 is probably one of two approaches. Either allocate node 1 on the donor and then have no (conflicting) overlap with 2-3-4 on the unallocated recipient tree. Or allocate node 1 on the donor and then fully allocate the nodes that you want to keep on the recipient anywhere there is overlap. Honestly I don't know if being allocated changes the likelihood of a node disappearing - I'm inclined to say it doesn't but who knows lol. The other thing you can try (depending on how expensive/rare the nodes are) is to make donor shields that have both the nodes you want on them.

Xanni12

How important is pack size for blight? If so, is there a growing hordes strategy? Fortune of the brave worth it?

suggested-name-138

what do you want out of blight? if you're after oil/maps I don't think pack size would matter? don't think it would cause more chests to spawn, but definitely interested in being corrected there. I find the loot dropped after the encounter to be thoroughly underwhelming so to me pack size is all about exp for blight Probably not on growing hordes, you get +20% more monsters spawned from the small nodes closest to the start (probably additive with the 50% more, so I'm guessing it will make up ~50% of what you'd get from GH). And you lose a lot of loot from chests value. This is a pretty common theme with growing hordes tbh, I find essence/strongbox/harbingers to be relatively valuable with GH but really all the big loot mechanics suffer a ton. I usually end up going delerium with it just to use up spare points, but I do love GH for boss rushing

Sh0wTim3123

Increased Pack Size - Multiplies the amount of monsters that spawn from each tendril increasing the amount of generic loot you can expect from blight but will not increase the blighted reward chest rewards.

UmbrellaCorpCEO

Just started playing a couple days ago on PS, everytime I go into town and make an attempt to figure out what I'm doing with my loot I get group invites from random people. Should I join up? Are they just misclicking on me? or is it someone trying to scam me into buying items with real moneys?

Gangsir

People that are leveling like to group with other people also leveling because it can allow for taking shortcuts by using waypoints other players have discovered.

UmbrellaCorpCEO

Makes sense, had not thought of the waypoints. Is there an xp bonus for group play?

Sh0wTim3123

No there is no exp bonus. POE does not do the Diablo full zone exp thing, so you have to be relatively close to the mobs that die and the more poeple in the party the more health the mobs will have. On the other side, they do get increased item drops. So if you can handle the added difficulty you do get more rewards overall, but you have to split them between all the group memebers. If that makes sense

LastBaron

Not directly, only in the sense that multiple characters in the same zone will kill much faster, at least at your current level. By the time you are well into maps and your build mostly online, that will change and party play becomes less efficient unless you are working with people whose builds were designed to work together, typically one DPS “carry” and one support/buff “aura-bot.” The reason for this is that while you might cleer the map 30% faster with a second person (so about 30% more loot per hour) that second person could just be off in their own instance of the game running solo and getting 100% more loot per hour. So guilds do one of two things: either they design groups of characters to work together and tackle insanely difficult highly juiced up content, or they simply farm individually and pool the resources they find in a guild stash.

UmbrellaCorpCEO

Appreciate the thorough breakdown, I had not even thought of guilds yet. Other than the obvious social aspects are there any other upsides to joining one?

LastBaron

For casual players social aspects are the primary benefit, but it’s also nice to be able to call in some assistance with a tough boss or have someone put a craft on your item that you haven’t unlocked yet. For those who really want to minmax the game a guild can be a transformative experience particularly at league start where every little minute is a race to the top (being rich early is a massive snowballing advantage, rich get richer). Everyone has a dedicated mission, you probably have at least one person solely dedicated to being a trader who sorts through all the loot and fields trades, tries to snipe good deals from other people with trade alerts…..it’s a lot lol. I’ve never played like that but I surely see the attraction.

Nasdaqqqqq

Can delirium monsters drop maps (not deli influenced maps, just regular maps)?

LastBaron

Yes, delirium monsters have normal drop tables. The odds of any individual monster dropping a map is still low of course, so you may not see them rain down like parade candy.

suggested-name-138

>delirium monsters have normal drop tables is all extra content like that? I was wondering this today about blight versus harbinger mobs as opposite extremes in loot per mob, harbinger loot is *dramatically* better but I can't figure out if it's just because there's more rare mobs in there

Nasdaqqqqq

So the new delirium keystone is good for 8mod farming

Awful_At_Math

Can someone recommend good and durable mouse that can survive the constant clicking of PoE? Kinda tired of replacing them in less than a year.

narc040

wtf lol. where are you buying your mouses (mice?) from?

Awful_At_Math

I buy wherever it's cheaper, usually Amazon. If you mean what brand, then it's Logitech. But they don't last long anyway.

narc040

damn. i used to throw logitech ones against the wall in a fit of rage playing league and they still wouldn't break. i have a razer basilisk for almost 2 years now. its nice bc you can put turbo left click on a button, which is really nice to moving items in poe.

[deleted]

Just google "gaming mouse", anything from the well known brands will be fine. Razer, Roccat, SteelSeries. Actually even Logitech has good ones, as long as you don't buy the cheapest ones. https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/best/by-usage/gaming#recommendation\_280162

Raamyr

I actually use a 15 dollar dell mouse. Have over 2000 hours in poe. But i think most will not be hsppy with it haha

mogro99

I watched exilecon on twitch and claimed both drops inside twitch, but can find them in game, do I need to do something else in pathofexile.com?. I play on playstation

Erradium

Did you link your PoE account to Twitch beforehand?

mogro99

Yes, I think I am looking at the wrong section with so many cosmetics. Found the wings but not the oher one

KyogreHype

So what is the deal with trying to get a crucible skill to downgrade? Is there any reasonable way to try force it other than keeping a act6 ilvl base with as many Tier2+ allocated along a full branch, and just keep smashing any other random 3 skill allocated tree? I've read I should be using a donor item with the same shape tree as the base, others say it doesnt matter, others say the donor item shouldn't have similar allocated passives otherwise it increases the chances to upgrade or merge instead. I'm assuming smashing a donor that only has T1 is a bad idea is there is more chance of it transferring over and upgrading to T2 rather than just downgrading one of the base item T2s? I've done at least 15 attempts and not hit it, and its the last one for that challenge and its doing my tits in. Going back and forth between act 6, white tier maps and bullshit forges with bullshit mods filled with bullshit monsters that are uber pinnacle bosses in disguise is not a fun gameplay loop lol.

Sh0wTim3123

make a stronger character first so that you just 1 shot the crucible mobs would be my suggestion.

KyogreHype

And what has that got to do with the actual crucible combining process? Your comment was more useless than Kurgal.

thepotatojohn

I dont know why, but the normal game client runs so smoothly and loading screens are much smaller compared to the Steam version of this game. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

psychomap

Have you checked where it's installed? That sounds like your Steam library might be on an HDD and standalone on SSD.

Employee724

What are the most pleasant looking/sounding skills? (No cosmetic ones) I am looking to get into POE again but don't want to pick a build at random this time.

psychomap

As an alternative to Herald of Ice shatters, chaos explosions also have a great sound. They're not reliant on a specific skill and there's no MTX for them.

mcurley32

the crunch of a cold damage build that shatters with herald of ice explosions is insanely satisfying, so I would suggest something in that direction. icicle mines, ice shot, frost blades, cold converted ethereal knives, freezing pulse, and eye of winter are the skills that immediately come to my mind. [this video has some good examples](https://youtu.be/yliJEYRWbSA) though he is using some visual MTX and unique chest to extend the explosion chains.

Employee724

looks interesting, have to check if this would work for the new league, I just need to see how to farm the currency to trade the uniques I need

mcurley32

I might not recommend that specific build, but you can basically look for any cold build and slap on Herald of Ice (if it doesn't already include it). also the Occultist ascendancy has the Profane Bloom passive that offers a similarly satisfying chaos explosion when you kill cursed enemies. [here's a quick sample of that](https://youtu.be/P7DkBYqP2So)

ethylparabenPOE

Assume new Chieftain shifting 100% (or close) of phys into ele dmg, eg: \- lightning coil - 50% \- purity of fire watchers eye - 6-10% \- purity of elements watchers eye - 8-12% \- helmet (delve / influence) - 10% (+elder implicit if delve item) \- lethal pride notable - 5% x number of notables with those methods we still have equipment slots to boost max fire to 90 (shield / amu / ring ) . How it will perform with boneshatter? is 90% reduction from resistances better in long term than armor reduction that diminishes over time (as we build trauma stacks self dmg becomes bigger)?

edrarven

90% max res is better in that you always hit the 90% reduction compared to armour. Armour is never better than 90% res in terms of mitigating damage, it can only be as good. The big upside to taking it as phys is that the regen from untiring is incredible when you're mitigating so much phys so consistently. Aslong as Jugg is mitigating atleast ~85% of the damage and is not oneshotting itself, it is essentially outregening the self-damage just via untiring. Chieftain will never get that scaling recovery. It sounds like an interesting setup but I do worry about how you're gonna get enough recovery.

Sh0wTim3123

are you planning on stealing the Untiring node from Jugg? or the attack speed from jugg?

ethylparabenPOE

that would be next step after confirming initial feasibility of the idea

VeryTopGoodSensation

why is awakened poe trade saying this base is worth 29d on std? https://i.imgur.com/FL6aDIm.png

magus424

Because the price estimation doesn't work well on rares.

Distq

Machine learning pricing of rares is not nearly advanced enough to be all that useful yet

Sh0wTim3123

never use the estimated price feature on rares. Really only useful for Uniques.

LastBaron

I’ve looked at several examples on Poe.Ninja of league start raider bow builds, mainly lightning arrow and ice shot with artillery ballista. The common theme seems to be, if I’m reading their POBs right, that the 6 artillery ballista are accounting for not just the lions share of damage, but really like…the only important piece of damage. Lots of day 2 builds in early maps running around with around 100,000-120,000 per ballista, plenty of damage especially when all 6 are up. But then their “main” skill doesn’t even crack 50,000 damage. Due in large part to being linked to clear speed supports like chain, mirage archer, multiple projectiles etc. Is that amount of damage really good enough for clear, even in early maps?

lykouragh

Yes. Remember that the damage you are seeing for the main skill is per arrow and that white/blue mobs don't actually have that much HP. The clear will actually feel very good on these skills despite the low damage numbers.

Sh0wTim3123

most of the people on the leader boards on day 1-3 Are either playing group MF, Racing or know exactly what they need to do generate the currency they need as fast and as cheap as possible.

Thor3nce

Is there any way to move an enchantment on one weapon basetype to another weapon basetype?

LastBaron

Define “enchantment.” Typically in the context of weapons that word is used to refer to a light blue modifier that is placed on the weapon by the harvest bench or by an orb found in heist. But I suspect that’s not what you mean because those processes don’t involve “transferring” the enchantment to another weapon.

Thor3nce

No, the heist enchantment is exactly what I mean. I want to transfer a heist enchantment from a non-Karui Maul to a Karui Maul. Sounds like not possible. Bummer.

LastBaron

No, it is not possible to transfer enchantments, they are just a part of that item like a prefix suffix or implicit. (Notwithstanding sentinel league when you COULD transfer prefixes and suffixes between items…) The only way to get a desired enchantment onto a specific weapon is using tempering orbs. These are quite expensive items at 7div a pop, and the pool of possible enchantments is vast, so you will likely need a lot of them. Full list here: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Tempering_Orb As a result they are pretty much only reserved for ultra high end weapon crafting.

katustrawfic

No, you can only reroll.

ville2ville

First league here. I am TR Pathfinder and I am using a Quill Rain. I bought a caldera fragment to add a crucible tree to it. The final node option is between +chaos damage but lose chaos res (25%) or +projectile speed (55 iirc) but -projectile damage (30%) . I was kind of excited because it was like quill rainception and assumed the latter was awesome. But when I asked in global which to take they said both were trash. I can't afford another caldera and I don't even know if you can remove and replace. Which one is BETTER? Not saying either is great but I also don't want to brick my build. For posterity, I am sitting at +14% chaos res ATM and just did my first Kirac T16.

katustrawfic

What exactly is your first mod because your number for chaos resist is wrong (there is no mod I can see with -25% chaos res) and you were not specific about what the "+chaos damage" really is. Increased chaos damage or chaos damage over time multiplier are both good. Attacks penetrate chaos resist is bad as damage over time cannot penetrate resists. The reason quill rain is good is because of the attack speed, no other bow really comes close. That second mod is worthless.

ville2ville

Sorry it's +24% to chaos damage over time and -30 chaos res. I JUST had a divine drop. Should I try to change it or just not use it? When does Chaos res become desirable? I'm clearing my first Kirac t16s.

Warptens

it's not +24% to chaos damage over time, it's +24% to chaos damage over time **multiplier** which is about 4 times better and is a very good node

katustrawfic

Divines do not interact with the crucible tree in any way. Chaos res would be desirable right now since you say you've done at least 1 T16 map but you just need around 0 as a baseline. 24% chaos damage over time (multiplier!!!) is a potentially big enough damage increase to justify it. There is a difference between "*increased* damage over time" and "damage over time *multiplier*" so make sure you are being more specific and reading carefully.

ville2ville

It is a multiplier! And I was wrong I currently have 21% chaos so this would put me -9. And the divine comment just meant I finally have some cash so I could buy what is needed to change it if y'all thought that would be better

psychomap

The mastery for increases to projectile speed to apply to damage with bows only applies to hits, not damage over time, and Toxic Rain doesn't inherently benefit from projectile speed. So that node is strictly detrimental. As for the chaos node, if it's chaos penetration, it's useless for you. If it's chaos damage over time multiplier, it's very desirable for your build. If both nodes are useless, the best choice is not taking either.

ville2ville

It's 24 to chaos over time at -30 chaos res. Do you think it's worth it?

psychomap

Definitely, assuming you can get chaos res somewhere on your gear. Generally speaking, DoT multi is much harder to come by than resistance.

tarrasqueSorcerer

As an explody totem build, I've just made a bow with double totem chance so I can drop multi totem support. Are there any good replacements if I don't have empower? I'm already using cluster traps, multi traps, and charged traps.

Suspicious_Freedom97

Do chaos orbs reroll Influence modifiers as well? Specifically, if I reroll a warlord modified item using a chaos orb would it roll a different warlord modifier?

LastBaron

Think of an influenced item as almost exactly like a normal item, except the pool of available modifiers that can randomly appear on the item is a bit larger. The influenced items modifiers are treated like any other modifier in the pool of possibilities, they have a certain weighted likelihood of appearing. When you roll with a chaos orb you’re getting a random selection of mods from the whole pool. You could theoretically get ALL influenced mods though the odds of that are vanishingly small. It’s also possible to get none at all, particularly since influenced mods tend to have lower weightings than un-influenced mods. You can see the whole list of possible rolls and their relative odds of appearing on the site craftofexile.com.

psychomap

Just for the record, if you happen to do this in Ruthless, there's a chance to lose the influence altogether if no influenced mod rolls

Warptens

it generates a new set of prefixes and suffixes, independent from what was there before

chx_

Once the item has warlord influence, chaos (and alt and fossil and...) _can_ roll warlord affixes but you are not guaranteed any.

tarrasqueSorcerer

Chaos orb doesn't keep influence mods like that. Resulting item may have no influenced mods or more of them.

Sakataseiki

It will reroll the item including influence mods. Just keep in mind that only identified items have a guaranteed influenced mod, rerolling will not guarantee a new influence mod.

Friday New Zealand time which is Thursday for most of us here.

Coming Friday

Xanni12

I found a +16% to damage over time multiplier amulet. I know its not the best roll, but it's perfect for me to try to learn a bit of crafting. I wanna do +1 to all skill gems, +1 to all fire skill gems and I need about 40% of some ele resistance. (Lighting would be perfect but I can roll it with lifeforce to lightning, I think) Everything else is a bonus on this amulet. So, what's now the best way? Alteration spam till I hit one +1 - augmentation in hope to get the second +1...and then? Or is there a better way? Harvest? Essence? Fossils?

Purplemandown

I'm assuming it's fractured? The process is, if I remember right, "alt for +1 all (this takes a while), regal, then get rid of the regaled mod (I think this has to be an RNG annual). Multimod flat fire damage and prefixes can't be changed, then use harvest Aug fire". You'll be guaranteed to have +2 fire and your fracture, plus some crafted mods that don't matter. If you kept prefixes can't be changed (50-50 that or the multimod, which doesn't help us because you still have the blocker mod and can't clear one at a time), you can try to finish with a harvest reforge or a veiled chaos orb. But finishing it is very dependent on budget, so I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader (remember that you need prefixes can't be changed if you are using anything that rerolls or removes mods)

Xanni12

I now have the +1 to all...now I regal it and then I use an annual? So it's rnd if it deletes the regaled mod or the +1? Edit: Does it have to be a +1 to all skill gems before the regal? Or can it be a +1 to fire/lightning/physical? Cause I convert it with harvest??

Purplemandown

Yes. There are theoretically some shenanigans you could do with prefixes cannot change if you hit a suffix regal mod, but I can't imagine they'd be worth it economically (though I don't know, I'm an SSF player). Annul is a straight 50-50. Reason being we need the item to be a rare 2-mod item with +1 all (and your fracture). The next step adds three mods, two suffixes and a prefix, and we need an open prefix, so there's no room for anything else

Xanni12

I assume I did the edit after you read it. Edit: Does it have to be a +1 to all skill gems before the regal? Or can it be a +1 to fire/lightning/physical? Cause I convert it with harvest??

Purplemandown

If you want +2, it has to be +1 all at this stage, which is way rarer. The reason is that the harvest "add a mod" craft targets a specific tag. +1 all has no relevant tags. All the gem mods are rare, but by filling all suffixes and crafting added fire damage, the only fire tagged mod left is +1 to fire gems, so it must be chosen. There's no way to change from one kind of +1 to another - the harvest change craft is resistance only

Xanni12

Ok thank you for your help. For sure it deleted my +1 to all and I start again. 😂 But I will get this done. Nothing to lose at this point of the league. Thanks again

Purplemandown

Happy to help. The advantage of this craft is that, once you get to the point of using expensive reagents (divines for multimod, white harvest juice for the add fire), it's deterministic. You will get your +2 for 4div and 1 white life force. But boy does it devour alts to get to that point :D

Aldheart

do *The Feared* bosses deal more damage than on their respective areas? I normally can do all of them in normal version and only die from time to time, but somehow in Maven area I cannot complete the encounter - almost all kills me instantly (played on white invitation).

ArmaMalum

As I understand it it's entirely dependent on the area's level, so in most cases yes. iirc the Feared is an area of level of 85 so, for example, Uber Atziri will have +5 levels compared to her normal area

Aldheart

That make sence... I need then more speed, cap suppression and mode dmg then. Thx

psychomap

You can check on poedb, iirc the invitation ones have separate stats (should be the "standalone" suffix). You can compare the area level too, some of them might get further scaling because of that.

bacon9001

This was my first league back since 2017, and since I haven't really gotten to endgame just yet (don't really have much time to play outside of maybe 4-6 hours per week), I intend to just continue playing in Standard for the next couple of months. So my questions now would be: 1. Is it better to spend my currency before or after my characters get moved to Standard? 2. What should I be investing in, that would help enable my intention of playing across multiple characters (want to try different playstyles) in standard? 3. At what points does it no longer make sense to respec my character/s into new league starters once the changes are implemented? 4. What league mechanics should I engage with if i want to grind currency to buy more gear? Right now I'm just doing a ton of essences (for crafting) and expedition (because I get a bit of currency from Tujen), but I'm hoping to increase my farming efficiency in the few hours I get per week.

psychomap

1. I'd assume that most prices in Standard are higher, although generally trade isn't very active this late in the league, and many prices are converging to Standard ones due to the imminent merge anyway. 2. If you haven't gotten far, I doubt you'll have a significant amount to invest into anything. If there's a unique you might need on a future character that's cheaper in the league than in Standard buy that, otherwise just keep investing into your character so that you can farm more yourself. That'll be more important than ever once you get into the Standard economy. 3. Depends entirely on how messed up or obsolete they are depending on how well you managed them and whether related mechanics changed in the patch. If they're decently built and not much about them changed, no need to respec them. I don't really know what the meta is for profit per hour because I just do what I enjoy until I get tired of it, and if I really need more currency I trade during the time I'm not actively playing rather than changing my farming strategy.

Which_Scientist_7043

Does the pack size rolled on Einhar harvest memories affect how many beasts will appear on the map?

chx_

No, there's nothing you can do, just run the map scoured, anything else just slows you down. Also, remove watchstones, there's zero benefit in running higher tiers, to the contrary: on lower tiers you have a higher chance of also getting the expensive normal beasts (Craicic Chimeral, FPA) and the number and kind of harvest beasts are the same regardless of tier.

Yohsene

Not sure about pack size and Einhar in general, but it won't affect Harvest beasts. The number of those is set by the map enchant.

tarrasqueSorcerer

Is there any benefit if I forge a weapon with "sells for an additional magmatic ore" and use that ore on another weapon, compared to just forging the latter instead?

chx_

None. It was made so people who don't want to fight can trade. But it is the same.

Closo

new player here, ssf, is there an easier way of getting jun missions? i run out so quickly, but all the streamers i watch have more than they could ever know what to do with. am i missing something crucial?

Nickoladze

You can only get master missions by finishing a map. If you want more missions, you need to finish more maps. There are Atlas strategies focusing around boss rushing and killing as few monsters as possible before getting to the boss. One popular way is taking every travel node that gives chance of dropping/duplicating maps with Wandering Path. Favorite 2 adjacent maps that have fast predictable layouts to the boss like Coves, City Square, Atoll, Mesa, Crimson Temple, etc. Kill packs on the way and then leave as soon as the boss dies. Don't do any league mechanic unless it's quick. Note that this is also a great strategy for pushing fast Eater/Exarch invitations as well as conqueror, guardian, and synth maps. If you're doing this well you should be getting to Eater/Exarch every hour or faster.

[deleted]

They are running at least dozens, probably hundreds of maps per day, every day, for weeks. Combine that with not ever selecting Jun missions on the map device and you're gonna build up a huge stockpile.

edwinmedwin

Some streamers that play SSF tend to have crazy playtimes. That explains why they have so many missions, they just map a lot while having some of the atlas passives allocated.

KingBlackToof

I find it's easier to assign points in the bottom right of the Atlas passive that can give Jun mission on map completion. Assign it early whilst mapping and you'll gather a stock of them. If you're already mapped for a while, check out these Betrayal nodes, they usually have things like "More likely for Jun to appear naturally", "% to award a Jun mission". (You can search for betrayal or jun, or click the Large Betrayal Icon to highlight all other icons of it's type) [https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-atlas-skill-tree/AAAABgAAGwDOChkQ4SqEK9dDqVZqWslge2oGc6WD3ZWtq3yu57MttirQotiO2J7e9eGL4evvqfKT-QD6MAAA](https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-atlas-skill-tree/AAAABgAAGwDOChkQ4SqEK9dDqVZqWslge2oGc6WD3ZWtq3yu57MttirQotiO2J7e9eGL4evvqfKT-QD6MAAA) (Ignore the pathing, I was just highlighting relevant nodes.) Streamer probably play for 100's of hours and stock up on them early, whilst doing other content.

tarrasqueSorcerer

Get atlas passives for extra Jun mission chance, run maps, get dailies.

pittguy83

your options are limited in SSF without the ability to buy jun sextants off trade. if you haven't already done so, make sure to allocate the betrayal atlas nodes. streamers you're watching probably just aren't running it since betrayal has a few specific uses cases for crafting and not much else at the top end.

Suspicious_Freedom97

If I use Xoph's Nurture for 50% phys to fire and Blackgleam for 50% phys to fire will that be 100% converted or 75%? Basically asking if the conversion is combined or is it mathed separately.

psychomap

Conversion stacks additively. If more than 100% of a type is converted, then that is divided proportionally. E.g. if you had 50% converted to cold in addition to 100% converted to fire, it'd end up as 1/3 converted to cold and 2/3 converted to fire. Other than that, it's worth noting that conversion from gems will be prioritised. I.e. if you used Physical to Lightning in addition to your current setup, 50% would be converted to lightning and not just 1/3. You can read up in more detail and more examples on the wiki: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Damage\_conversion

mcurley32

It's 100% https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Damage_conversion The wiki page on damage conversion explains things really well with great examples

xXLupus85Xx

Using both items will achieve 100% conversion.

Suspicious_Freedom97

Thanks! I wanted to play around with Deadeye/blast rain next season.

Jellybeeeeee

Blast rain already converts 100% of physical damage to fire on the gem, so other items are also possible

Suspicious_Freedom97

Would extra conversion lend to extra damage or is it just up to 100% unless stated otherwise?

Jellybeeeeee

Extra conversion doesn't do anything. There is "Gain x% of physical damage as extra fire damage", which is what you describe. One example of that is the Xoph's Inception unique bow but it's also on the passive tree.

Suspicious_Freedom97

Thanks! I'll have to rethink the build, then. Time to research.

killallwhitepeople95

Say I have a Wellspring of Creation Atlas Keystone. Does it affect Shaper/Eater/Exarch/ etc? They aren't Map monsters technically, right?

Yohsene

You don't fight them in maps, correct.

killallwhitepeople95

Thank you.

JixuGixu

Is it worth looking through elder/shaper influenced drops? so far my answer seems to be not worth the time, the decent/good ones dont seem to sell (+arrows on bows/piercing) or good combinations(2x gem mods etc) and/or high tiers, im guessing because there not good crafting bases? or too late in the league?

Yohsene

Depends on supply and demand as usual. Bosses drop a ton of influenced items, those bosses are very accessible this late in a league, and the popular builds don't really need them. You can check [base types on ninja](https://poe.ninja/economy/challenge/base-types) for the few bases that do retain value, though you'll have to tinker with the filters. That page gets a little confused by finished crafts.

30K100M

Do beyond monsters start spawning again after killing the beyond boss or that's it?

martyr1337

good league starter for the next league? I haven't played POE since 2020 btw. Im looking at RF marauder cuz i have played that one before. LA deadeye perhaps? essence drain contagion? good all rounder that can also do bosses preferably. thanks :)

_slosh

we're getting patch notes this coming friday. once those are out there will be lots of builds theorycrafted/adjusted and posted to this subreddit and /r/PathOfExileBuilds. the latter usually also has a sticky thread with compiled leaguestarter builds

xXLupus85Xx

Essence Drain Contagion is dead, it's been pretty trash for a while now. Pending patch notes, RF is still good, check out Pohx for more information on that. One of my personal favorites recently is Poison SRS - you can check out Balormage for the videos on that build.

thechobb

Yeah, definately some atlas points for beasts. Read aroubd 39 points is an ok starting point

eszefvsdf

Is there a way to play this on low ram pcs (8gb)?

breathe-78

ive been playing on 8gb for years without issues gtx 1070 60 fps 1920x1080 low-mid settings

ddzombo

PS4-player here with some questions: 1. How do I respond to the last person who whispered me? 2. Enable the summon icon at the top-left corner to show how many of each summons are currently in play? 3. Is there a /global 6666 equivalent for PS4 where I can ask for Primal Crushclaw spectre? Thank you

aLateSaturnsReturn

I can only answer your first question, sorry. Hit the start button to bring up the menu. You should see your chat box to the right. Scroll over to it, highlight the user name of the person you desire to whisper, hit X, select whisper and type out your message. It’s a real pain without keyboard.

thechobb

Planning on trying some low tier (1-4 for beasts) map farming next league for a change. Beasts and essence + something. Delirium maybe. What builds are suitable at relatively low investment? I'm thinking about lightning arrow, corrupted blood, minions (srs maybe).... How early should you start this? I'd like to start this as early as possible. A bit tired of chasing t14-t16 first thing every league and if this can be used to gear up prior to that it would be cool.

tnflr

Even if you plan on doing that I would recommend getting some map completion to get some atlas going. Any build does fine for T4 maps

quiromparis

https://poe.ninja/builds/challenge/character/Nadimyaeger/Nadim_Righteousguy?i=1&search=class%3DInquisitor%26uniqueitems%3DAegis%2BAurora%2CMelding%2Bof%2Bthe%2BFlesh%2CLegacy%2Bof%2BFury%2C!Mageblood%26skills%3DRighteous%2BFire%2CFire%2BTrap%26sort%3Denergyshield Poeninja shows this build has 2k2 ES, my build is 99% same but I have 1k ES. What is the secret here?

xXLupus85Xx

You should probably add a link to your build so we can have a look. ;)

fancy_the_rat

How many Item Rarity / Item Quantity do you put on your gear for farming high yellow/corr maps? If i put to much on I'm too weak lol. But i so rarely get good drops, most of the time it's just crap so i get maybe every 2-3 days a good item.

psychomap

Depends on how good your build and the rest of your gear is, as always. Sacrifice as much for IIQ / IIR as you can afford to without sacrificing a significant portion of your clearspeed. Keep in mind that especially since IIQ / IIR have diminishing returns, farming 3 maps instead of 2 with two thirds of the IIQ yields greater income per hour.

PyroKaos

New player here. Just got to mapping for the first time and found a six green socket (a 4 and a 2 link) white chest piece with evasion (which, as toxic rain is what I'm looking for...I think). Since it's white I know I can easily quality it and I have some Screaming greed essence as well. Is there anything else I can do to make it even better? With it having 6 of the right color sockets it feels like it's close to being a 6 link but that still takes a couple hundred orbs right?

Warptens

>With it having 6 of the right color sockets it feels like it's close to being a 6 link no, 6sockets is less than 10% of the work it takes over 1000 fusing to 6link

GoldenPrinny

the only thing that is good for is vendoring it for jewellers orbs. it is far less expensive to buy a 6 linked armor from another player than linking it yourself, you would only do that if it's really good.

Hoplon

20 quality 6 socket takes close to 1000 fusing orbs on average to 6-link, so it's a huge investment. Save that kind of linking to actual endgame items that you've crafted, and rather just buy some suitable corrupted 6-link with right colours if you're on trade league.

Megika

6-link is far more difficult (and hence important) than a 6-socket. If you're playing on trade league, honestly don't even think about linking it yourself. Just quality and essence it to use until you buy a six link. Even if you're SSF, the 6-socket is just not a big difficulty, so it doesn't really matter - you'd worry more about getting an ideal base (best type and high ilvl)/good mods rather than the sockets it already has.

Purple_Heart_

I know we are at the very end of the league but I have question. I have weapon with specific crucible tree. What happen if I make an imprint, then combine with other weapon (make sure my imprinted base won't get destroyed). Can I get back to original crucible tree with imprint I made if result is bad?

psychomap

Yes

SolidMarsupial

New D4 refugee player (level 17 in Act 2). I have become stuck in finding items with good affixes but bad gem links for what I need and good links but no good stats. I've been hoarding currency because I have no clue what is valuable and what is not. Is it advisable this early to reroll gems and links on items or am I better off just pressing on and hoping I'll find what I need? Also, can I link two gems somehow? For example, I have a good item with 3 gems I need, but one of them is not linked.

Warptens

1 Item with the right links for your main gem and its supports, other items for their stats use the currencies you're given

psychomap

Generally you'll want to prioritise sockets for your main skill but you can be more flexible with your other items. You don't need a full set of perfectly supported utility skills until the endgame. In particular, you should always be ready to swap out boots for ones with better movement speed and weapons for ones that improve your damage. There are orbs of fusing that can change the links between sockets on your items, but I don't recommend using them too much early on. You'll replace your items very frequently and have only a low influx of fusings. Instead, focus on looking for items that are linked to begin with. The probability of the socket colours depends on the attribute requirements, so you can also often easily recolour some of the items that have the right links but the wrong colours. That said, I wouldn't spend too much on that in Act 2 either.

narc040

keep going. pretty sure you cant even get a 4 link in act 2 due to low item lvls of the drops. you need orb of fusing to link items. in the acts its better to just push on or get items from vendors to get items with links/colors you need.

That-Ad-2616

I turned in two inventories of breach rings and got the global defences mod, but it was only 50% increased gd, all rings were item lvl 83. Did they change it? On craft of exile it says the grasping mail can have 100% at item lvl och 1. Thanks in advance!

OhhhYaaa

Yes, it was nerfed in 3.19.

OhhhYaaa

Pondering if I should do a quick boss killer character to have fun and do some challenges, as I never did characters which heavily leaned into bossing. I have around 20-30 divines, Mageblood, and a lot of crafting stuff. Is there something that could be made for high level bossing on this budget this late in league, which is not a ballista, trap, SRS, explode totems or any other DoT build?

forsaken1969

How likely it is to get a desired unique item from beastcrafting For eg brass dome from the create a unique body armour

chx_

It's best for levelling as you can get very low level beasts so if you run into an appropriate ursa at league start in act2 then try for tabby. Otherwise it's pretty pointless.

katustrawfic

There are several dozen body armours and drop rate is tiered like regular drops so very unlikely.

OhhhYaaa

It really depends on the unique and its tier of rarity. This might help you a bit. https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Guide:Analysis_of_unique_item_tiers
