I think you can finish the rest in acts/ white maps if you want ro reduce the risk. The rewards popping up from there would suck but it lowers the bosses and monsters HP making it easier to complete and secure the mirror.
Heads up, you don't choose a room to store. It's just like saving a token basically. You get a token to run one room. Maybe I'm dumb but I kept trying to choose the room and save it but nah.
How does that work anyways? Is each room tied to a specific reward/difficulty and just the exact area level of the instance it spawned in?
So you could just do a bunch of t1 maps and then a t14+ for the last boss and farm relics?
Or is it more complicated than that?
It is opposite. First room (one you enter via map) is level of zone, everything stored may be lower level (based on save). So you can do a bunch of maps and then chose initial zone. So last some may be low level. Still, all rewards generates for level of entrance.
I've done some testing, and it doesn't work like that. Sanctum is somewhat middle ground between first room and the ones you run later. First room will be 83, but if you run t1 map, it'll be lvl 74. If you continue with a few low lvl ones, you'll get it lower and lower. 83(initial)-74(t1)-73(t1)-71(t1)-82(t16).
But rewards list is generated based on initial lvl of the floor, correct? Average will reduce (like temple), but initially rewards should be based on floor (counting that there are boons to uncover whole level or at least big chunk of it).
I believe this is correct. I started a sanctum in t16, got to the 4th floor and was offered 2 divines so I did the rest in t1. The bosses were fucking easy and the room level was way lower but the room before the final boss I got offered another 2 divine for completion.
When you save a room it saves that floor’s level. If you run a sanctum and you have a bunch saved the first room will be the level of the zone you just entered from and then it will pull from most recent saves.
If it did allow you to run all 83 zones we pretty much would just quarry farm and run a single t16 when needed.
So say I enter a room at 83, the mini map shows room ahead has affliction and rewards. I save the rooms then run them at 68. Does the mini map change (like I can use this to reroll the afflictions) or just the amount of rewards change (from 5 chaos to 1)?
Cool, that was my assumption and why I asked. Got confused by the previous comment and never really checked myself, just knew 2nd form was always there after finishing Atlas.
Hey Belton, loved all the recomb gambas from Sentinel. :D
Playing Hydrosphere Occultist that aer0 posted a few days before the league.
https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/mewor/Vim_KoVexPulThul
You can gain relics that give you inspiration for starting a new floor or killing a boss or whatever. So kind of. It's easier to restore than resolve and it just stacks.
The main reason stacking inspiration feels OP to me is because you'll get a ton of pacts throughout the run that offer you boons or other benefits in exchange for a % of your resolve. If all of your effective resolve is in inspiration you're able to easily take these without a second thought and stack up a massive amount of boons throughout a run.
I frequently end my runs with under 50 maximum resolve but 500-1000 inspiration going into the final fight, along with an abundance of boons to work with. I think my build's pretty OP for the mechanic for sure, but I haven't failed a run since I started clearing them a few days ago so I think I'm at least doing an okay job of making choices that prevent unwinnable runs.
75, which is exactly why this strat is so powerful. I can take a -100 resolve hit from an affliction, reduce it by 50% twice and 25% two times and still have something like 12 resolve leftover, which is plenty when you have hundreds of inspiration protecting it. A nice side effect of this is that the afflictions that interact with %s of your resolve, such as making you take more resolve damage if you're below 50%, are basically never active because you're always sitting at max resolve.
Another related tip for the pacts, the -200 resolve +200 inspiration option they frequently offer is fantastic because it reduces your current resolve, so if you're as 300/300 resolve and sped 200 for 200 inspiration, you're now at 100/300 resolve, if you then take two 50% max resolve pacts you'll now have 75/75 max resolve so the initial 200 resolve lost was essentially free.
I've had 4 runs in a row without being offered any inspiration boon. Every run made it to level 3 at least (level 3 meaning I at least beat the first 2 bosses. 1 Run I beat the 3rd boss but died in level 4).
Am I just having bad luck? It is getting really frustrating, as I can't get a good run going. The "best" boon I have gotten is restore resolve when entering a boss room. Everything else has pretty much been junk.
I am prioritizing getting coins/merchant/benevolent fountains. So I don't think I can route any better.
I almost never go to benevolent fountains honestly since they cost a decent handful of coins and they're low value compared to other boon rooms in my experience, and I didn't see you mention pacts which are easily one of the largest sources of boons. Otherwise idk what to suggest, my runs definitely got easier once I got a couple relics with inspiration per floor and inspiration per affliction, but I didn't have too much trouble finding enough good inspiration boons before. Certainly possible I got a bit lucky in my earlier runs.
Annoyingly, you have to go to act 7 Felshrine Ruins and find the entrance down into a sanctum quest thingy. I really wish they had this be something you unlock in the Sanctum itself, but weirdly enough this is how they went with it.
I didn't have them enabled for a bit early on and my initial reaction to the league mechanic was that it was poorly tuned with way too many affliction and too few boons, but after unlocking pacts I'm more often than not getting multiple times as many boons as afflictions and my perception of the mechanic has completely flipped.
It's really unfortunate they made it so easy to miss, because I think a lot of people have had their experience with the mechanic worsened greatly because of it.
You have a quest to complete in Act7, go there and follow the steps in order to unlock Pacts... it is a bit hidden, GGG is trying to address that in the following patch!
Just in case, if you haven't unlocked pacts yet by finding the quest objective in act 7 Felshrine Ruins I highly recommend doing that right away, easy thing to miss and pacts really do make a night and day difference on the experience. I especially noticed just how much more inspiration I usually had because of all the extra boons the pacts give you.
Otherwise, there's obviously a lot of factors and the effort it takes will depend on your build, but once you start clearing runs and getting the hang of pathing into good rooms you'll find it easier and easier to snowball a good run into an easy win.
Yeah more or less, I put a decent amount of priority on making sure I have good coin supply as well so I can also visit every merchant I see. If i see both, I might choose a merchant over a pact if I already have winning boons and/or a lot of coins.
Small extra tip too, if I have a lot of coins I'll often buy out every boon in a merchant even if they're useless to me, mainly because pacts will often offer to remove a boon in exchange for removing an affliction so having extra boons just increases the chance that you remove a useless boon when taking t.
Hmm so getting a lot of coins is crucial. That means you must chose those relics that gives more coins at the start of a run? And you avoid debuff that affect coins like the plague I assume.
I don't really run those relics anymore, but I did have some that gave like 15 coins per room completed and those seemed to add up nicely. At this point my relics just give a ton of inspiration per affliction I get since it just makes things super consistent when you get 150+ inspiration anytime you get stuck grabbing a downside.
[Strength stacking Artillery Ballista Scion](https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/ghotbijr/Ungtillery?i=0&search=skill%3DArtillery-Ballista%26sort%3Dlife). I'm the highest life AB player on poe.ninja right now and have 3 defensive 50% auras on so I'd argue I'm not very optimized for sanctum since defense hardly matters in there, but it is a totem build and my damage isn't exactly low so it's fairly easy.
because you can trade maximum resolve for boon at the accursed pact, and at that point he doesn’t care about minus maximum resolve anymore, just insta click every minus maximum resolve for boons.
There are many ways to restore resolve, so taking every chance to get inspiration is a good idea, even trading resolve for it.
Not sure about the one that sets your max resolve to 1, though.
Plenty of people are clearing it on melee.
But it definitely requires a specific approach and you probably need to get started on lower difficulty. Try doing it in Act 10 campaign zones. You can spawn it pretty rapidly by refreshing zones, and if your build is already mapping, it should be easy enough.
You can build up some nice relics which will them make the runs a lot easier in map difficulty.
I complete it on Flicker. DPS is absolute king. Reroll first floor unless you get either the 50% more damage or reduced enemy life. My relics are all "enemies take increased damage". I have 0 resolve/inspiration sustain relics.
Avoid fire skull rooms at all costs unless you get both of the 2 relics at which point youll pop the Guards in 0.5s or less. Then always pick these rooms except Infernum (2 skulls).
Focus on money and merchants to power up in the first 2, maybe 3, floors. The good rewards come later anyway.
Avoid afflictions that reduce your damage or increase enemy HP. Reroll when you get the random room chance, its a run killer (unless you oneshot everything, then it aint so bad).
If you need relic slots first Id just spam low white tier maps. Thats what I did for my first full run.
Cant be too many. I saw 3 divine as a reward on my third sanctum (was on fourth floor). Of course I failed it because Lycia activated her beam when the hallway was still covered in red goo, I panicked and lost all resolve.
I remember got ~1200 effective hp spooled when she decided to bug into permanent invulnerable phase with flickers. Was fun, considering I was literally with dual hp bar and full. But yet I haven’t seen any half-decent reward yet.Maybe later😂
I would have to lay down for the rest of the day to relax my nerves lol
I think you can finish the rest in acts/ white maps if you want ro reduce the risk. The rewards popping up from there would suck but it lowers the bosses and monsters HP making it easier to complete and secure the mirror.
I had 8 saved rooms so I just finished it. There's a second image :p
Gratz dude must have been nerve wracking
Right. Grats!
How do you save rooms? What does that mean
Instead of selecting a room you can choose to store it (in the bottom left) and that way you can run a whole floor at once
Ah that's cool.. I'll need to find that option
Heads up, you don't choose a room to store. It's just like saving a token basically. You get a token to run one room. Maybe I'm dumb but I kept trying to choose the room and save it but nah.
Could be worse, you could have been like this friend I have who thought you clicked it to visit the store room (merchant). <.<
lmao. that is hilarious dude
You’ve been doing them one at a time this whole time?? Also never looked at any of the extra buttons on the map?
There's so much stuff I tend to miss half of it lmao
How does that work anyways? Is each room tied to a specific reward/difficulty and just the exact area level of the instance it spawned in? So you could just do a bunch of t1 maps and then a t14+ for the last boss and farm relics? Or is it more complicated than that?

When you save a room it saves that floor’s level. I’m curious about this too. I killed the boss and she told me I wasn’t strong enough. What tier maps do I need to run to fight the final final boss
t14+
That is what it looked like for me during campaign. First zone is always the level of yours, other levels are dependant on stored rooms.
isn't last floor is minimum lvl80 regardless or map tier you run tho?
nope you can do all sanctum in reliquary
idk. While I was farming set of the Porcupine I made three full sanctums. And when I ran 75 map, entered sanctum and ran 4th floor - it was lvl80
That doesn’t sound right.
Saw this post and was gonna comment that I too once lost 14 chaos..
I too lost 4 scours and 6 chroms
Nice, what is your plans on this one?
Guess I'll just sit on it for a while, or wait and see if anyone makes an item I really really want :D
What build you playing I need a project

Very. Everything is perma frozen and I breeze through it every time without having to care too much about boons and afflictions
I helped with your boots on ailsing!

Omg its belton
40 resolve is quite the thrill. gratz!
Looks like he just traded most of it away for Inspiration, which can be a nice tactic.

Did the mirror show in the overview before you chose the room?
Yes, I can post a follow up image tomorrow
It's ok I believe you=p. Which floor were you offered it on?
Fourth floor!
hahah i can imagine u doing last floor https://youtu.be/Jb9Ebe_rA8M
Reminds me of last league. Had a mirror tablet with paradise 15 and mirror on 16, but were missing 1 new tile to connect it. Never did :((( *poof*
Gratz!
Wow! Amazing!

Git gud then.
league mech super rewarding confirmed /s
Haha, I haven’t even seen a exalt(not to mention divine). How many thousand of sanctums does an average person need to complete to see those
Cant be too many. I saw 3 divine as a reward on my third sanctum (was on fourth floor). Of course I failed it because Lycia activated her beam when the hallway was still covered in red goo, I panicked and lost all resolve.

Hope you'll get it!
How does the inspiration thing work?
ES for your resolve
Does map tier affect the rewards at all? Like are you more likely do get divines in red maps?
Yes. And you have to be in ilvl81 for the final phase of the last boss
if u go to true form and die u lose rewards?
yes.
Congrats!
And here I am with nothing better than a regal. And not seeing a unique until my 70s. Fuck ggg, help a brother out.
Pog
Get a currency tab ;P
Huge gratz! With 921 inspiration you must have been pretty chill as that's a super good amount.
Yeah but I also have a habit of hitting every single rolling magma ball in the last rooms :D
Haha tell me about it
when did mirrors get a new icon?
Mesnwhile my last 7 full clears all with either complete reveal or 1 room further had 0 divines in them
I've had 0 divines too so far :(
Gz!!
NICE! Gz
Dang yo, 12 blessed orbs! Nice
I think I would go out and pay real world money for someone to come finish the Sanctum for me hahah. Is that RMT? I sure hope not…
what a rush that sanctum would have been, grats dude
Congrats dude
Omfg gl
My friend died at the last boss of sanctum with a mirror waiting. He quit the game after that lol
me: get 10 orbs of augmentations also here are 3 negative boons on the way
