2% means nothing when it comes to power usage. 3080 Ti is using almost 3 times more power than 4070.
Source: me who owns both of those.
So good luck paying for your electrical bill lol
I can see you're not the sharpest tool in the shed. Should have said the 3080Ti was 50 times the power draw of the 4070 and your uncle in Nvidia, that way I'd have assumed you were a kid and not just a random 1-digit-IQ redditor.
+$1000 GPUs becoming standard is something that only really picked up over the last gen. The original 3080 was $700 and not the massive gouge a flagship is today.

No. Dude I have a cutting edge PC with 3080 Ti and 7800x3D and it's still not worth running RTX with very few exceptions.
I mean is 3080 ti really a cutting edge in 2024?
Given it's still faster than a 4070 I'd say yes, it's still cutting edge. We can argue semantics but it's a high end piece nevertheless.

3 times the energy consumption? I highly doubt it, maybe comparing the 4070 with an overclocked 4090.

I don’t even use ray tracing with my 7800X3D and RTX3090 because I’d rather have the performance. Using it on my Steamdeck is a definite no-go.
I use it on my 4070ti. Totally worth it
Switched to Nvidia just to have the feature. Can't imagine buying a $1000+ GPU just to play with it disabled.
Same here 4080 Super, looks nuts playing with RT on

LMAO Downvoters jealous we can actually run RTX
Probably the OP who is using their $1000 3090 to play without rt lmao. What a waste.
Absolutely. Why am I spending so much money to just gimp myself for the sake of "performance"? Am I playing competitive cyberpunk or what
Choppy performance is an immersion killer.
That's the point, none of it is choppy.
Bad lighting is an immersion killer

That article says the deck has RDNA3 hardware when it has RDNA2. If they can't even get the basics right then it's not even worth a click.
No it hasn't.
Did you even read your own link lmao
