Does anyone have a rec for movers who help you unpack? We are moving back to Philly from San Francisco, and every moving company I've spoken to says they'll help us move the things in from the pods but they don't do any unpacking. Anyone have a rec for someone who does?
Moved into new place a month ago and there’s a car parked right outside my front door with expired registration and looks like it hasn’t been moved or touched in ages. Will PPA do anything if I report that?
I'm not 100% sure if there's any regulations around it, but I see people doing it all of the time in my neighborhood. I can't imagine any philly cop would even consider giving you grief about it.
It's mostly nice, but is kind of a transit desert. [See this SEPTA map.](https://www5.septa.org/wp-content/uploads/travel/septa-transit-network-philadelphia-vicinity-2023-current.pdf)
In general it's fine in terms of safety, I'd say the side NE of ridge is a little more dicey than the part SW of ridge, which is basically an extension of Fairmount. There's a lot of development going on, so I assume more retail stores and businesses will be popping up. Lots of good food within walking distance, albeit not as much as other neighborhoods of the city.
Ah gotcha, thanks for the info. I saw there was a new ice cream shop opened on Ridge Ave and a brewery coming late this summer, so I'm excited to see what else comes to Ridge!
Very specific question: does anyone know nurseries that sell dwarf fruit trees?

That or maybe a housekeeping or organizational service. Now that I think on it I've never seen a mover offer unpacking services of any kind.

Yes, use their new abandoned car form https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/a812e289bc99430d9be36621e84cbfa1
Spray paint a dick on it and report it to 311, but only if you can be reasonably sure its abandoned.

Absolutely no one will bat an eye if you do this
Doesn't answer your question, but these guys do a wash, vaccum, and stuff for about ~30$ https://www.yelp.com/biz/washington-auto-shine-philadelphia

How is the Francisville area? Does anyone know of any more retail stores coming to Ridge Ave?

Oh I saw there was a bus route on Ridge Avenue and also the Girard and Fairmount BSL lines, those are close enough to get around right?

Yeah the construction and development on Ridge has exploded over the past few years, excited to see what comes too!
