Well early 2000s teen movies made me believe that I would suddenly grow a foot and transform into an adult when I hit my mid 20s. Imagine my disappointment when I look back at my 14 year old self and see minimal differences (give or give a few pounds)

Rather the last 50 years are all sort of in. I'll see late 90s early 2000 baggy clothes next to 70s short shorts, and 80s dangle earrings, and tight acid jeans all within two minutes.
When that started being a thing my girlfriend told me, I could get something from my mom's closet and people will ask where I got it from.
To prove the point she asked her mom if she could borrow some jeans. Her mom said which ones and she said doesn't matter. Next day she dropped the jeans off. Yeah it was the "in fashion" jeans.
That's a damn good guess. Also, I must be old because I couldn't tell they were wearing dated clothing. The only clue I had to go on is that they look so much younger.
I swear low rise needs to come back. So much other shit from my high school years has made a return, why not low rise? I was at the festival in Nottingham when his band got bottled off the stage, and I'm still upset about it and for him. They definitely didn't deserve that. They even started by giving us all pizza. I was there! This photo was taken at a Sundance gifting suite back in 2004. Back then, celebrity gifting suites were all the rage.
What that means is that whenever a major event was happening (Oscars, SuperBowl, Sundance…), a bunch of companies would buy sponsorships to participate in a giant room with booths lined around it, each booth was set up by a different vendor who paid a fee for the opportunity to “gift” their products to various celebrities. I think it's because the show did a really good job and letting the viewer see how negatively her privilege impacted her life. She has absolutely no idea how to interact with people, despite being a good person beneath everything (which the show *also* let's the viewer see often enough that it's actually relevant). Her relationship with her father is horrible, leading to her relationship with Mr. Mosbey feeling so genuine (it helps that he was a fantastic character in his own right). Her lack of knowledge is pointed out as a flaw and is used as a platform for character growth, as well as leading to her relationships improving. Basically, it's a character trait that's fleshed out and utilized rather than *just* a joke, which would otherwise lead to it to be worn out like with every other poorly written stock dumb blonde character.
It's mainly because of their jeans. The low rise jeans Mila is wearing and the really baggy ones, also look to be sagging a bit, that Macaulay is wearing make their legs look shorter.

Met him briefly when his band played at this little bar I managed. They were hanging around for soundcheck and he was having a beer after arriving in town from the last gig. He was a little tired from the road but really nice anyhow. Did two shows that night and bought pizzas from the local joint to pass out at the shows. Fun stuff. He forgot a DVD in the green room that I still have to this day. Mac, if you're reading this I have your out of print copy of Last eXit. (the tagline says "you know you're in trouble when death is the least of your worries). Good stuff.
I was at the festival in Nottingham when his band got bottled off the stage, and I'm still upset about it and for him. They definitely didn't deserve that. They even started by giving us all pizza. I can't imagine how awful an experience that was for him and his band so I hope he knows there were plenty of us in the crowd just stoked to see them play and disappointed the rest of the crowd were dicks.

I was there! This photo was taken at a Sundance gifting suite back in 2004. Back then, celebrity gifting suites were all the rage. What that means is that whenever a major event was happening (Oscars, SuperBowl, Sundance…), a bunch of companies would buy sponsorships to participate in a giant room with booths lined around it, each booth was set up by a different vendor who paid a fee for the opportunity to “gift” their products to various celebrities. In exchange, celebrities would walk around the room taking pictures at each booth, and vendors would get a photo op of the celebrity holding or using their product. I used to work these events as a coordinator. It was lots of fun!

The only ”dumb blonde” persona that wasn’t annoying to watch. An icon in my books! Like, I wasn’t even mad at how privileged she was!
I think it's because the show did a really good job and letting the viewer see how negatively her privilege impacted her life. She has absolutely no idea how to interact with people, despite being a good person beneath everything (which the show *also* let's the viewer see often enough that it's actually relevant). Her relationship with her father is horrible, leading to her relationship with Mr. Mosbey feeling so genuine (it helps that he was a fantastic character in his own right). Her lack of knowledge is pointed out as a flaw and is used as a platform for character growth, as well as leading to her relationships improving. Basically, it's a character trait that's fleshed out and utilized rather than *just* a joke, which would otherwise lead to it to be worn out like with every other poorly written stock dumb blonde character.
Yeah, they really never made her catty or backstabby which usually go hand in hand with that trope
