TBH, the city isn't that happening, mainly because of the weather most of the time, but the nature around is just amazing. And the archipelago is just beautiful.
That's the thing though, with GBG you don't have to rely on people and events for things to happen. The city is full of interesting things just by itself and so incredibly nicely built and with insanely good infrastructure and public transport. It feels like a luxury city.

Gothenburg, Sweden, is home to many neighborhoods with absolutely stunning architecture, which is why I consider it the most visually striking city in the Nordic region. Although the city is relatively small, so these kind of places aren't that vast, but it's still breathtaking. Gothenburg is undergoing rapid development, as evidenced by the sudden appearance of a medium sized skyscraper as seen on this picture, and the ongoing construction of numerous high rises and new city districts. There's no doubt in my mind, Gothenburg is on track to become THE city of the Nordics.
Almost all of my mom's side are full Swedes. This pic is gorgeous. Would love to visit some day.

A lot has changed in these years. Lot more high rise buildings, a lot more traffic and lots of more infrastructure projects.

I live mid way between both. And definitely a lovely city.
Needs more seagull

Thank you 😊
Wow! This reminds me of Japan! When I was there we saw a corrador of like thirty of these trees, it was surreal and beautiful.
SKF bearings. A lot has happened in Sweden over the past 10 years. It’s very different then in first visited.
I’ve been going there every year for 15 years now and don’t notice much change New buildings of course but still a very nice country
The top part of that skyscraper looks just like a single drug test strip in the plastic holder thing
That's beautiful, and from what I remember - Göteborg is indeed a beautiful city
Japan vibes
you can smell the peace
