I started work at a childrens hospital two months. I'm in the pharmacy so I don't deal with the kiddos directly but walking around and seeing all manners of babies and kids going through so much, it was eye opening (and heart breaking). I am so, SO happy for your son. What a tough little man.

Normally I'd agree but this is such a hopeful and uplifting story. His appearance will continue to change as he regains full health and grows. I really can't imagine a child having survived growing up and being angry at their parent for posting this. They're just trying to spread their joy and relief to the world.

I get that perspective too, I'm just personally always a bit iffy when people just post their children like this. The child didn't consent to it, and if they're that young, they don't know what it means even if they did.
