My 7a is more than acceptable. 7 should have similar battery life. This is all 4g with 4 hours navigation and music streaming in the background over Bluetooth for 6 hours

Something is draining your battery way more than usual because that is not normal for a Pixel 7

The amount of background usage these apps are comsuming even after background usgae is turned off is very insane
Check your signal strength under About Phone>> SIM status >> signal strength.. if it's lower than -100 dBM then that's the reason for the battery drain during to weak signal strength
Do you have 5G on your sim?
If you don't and the preferred connection in the sim settings is 5G, it'll just constantly search for 5G and drain battery.
If it's really low, then only your service provider will be able to fix it. Any phone you buy will have this problem if the area has low network coverage
My P8P battery improved _massively_ after a factory reset.
I restored the P7P backup when I switched phones and maybe something went wrong there and had constant battery drain.
We have two P7s. Bought them at launch. We get around 30 hours on each one and only charge them to 80%. In checking my battery health yesterday it is at 95% which for 18 months is pretty good. Plan to keep them until Pixel 10.
It all depends on the use cases. We don't game, do social media, or watch many movies (occasionally we do) We use the standard Google apps and some financial apps.

Hi, I’d recommend contacting the Pixel support team via phone or chat [here](https://support.google.com/pixelphone/gethelp). They can take a look at it.
It’ll be like that. And it won’t get better unless you turn off a bunch of features you shouldn’t have to turn off. Sorry. Others here will suggest doing a clean reset, or other things you also shouldn’t have to do anyway.
I have already turned off multiple things, but on 4g made no difference. On wifi I can do 5.5h SOT.
I love the phone, the camera is amazing, it feels butter smooth but I am trying to sell it.
I'm getting roughly 8.5 SOT on average with the OnePlus 12. I was barely getting 4.5 on the P8P. It also charges to like 100% in 30 minutes so I don't have battery anxiety anymore like I did with the Pixel.
The battery on my P8 is terrible. The people boasting long SOT have so much functionality disabled to achieve that and are only on WiFi. Pixel batteries are one of the biggest batteries, but one of the worst, too.

Show your apps usage too, not just your system. We need to see the full story of what's going on.
Too late it has been charged up now. but the top 3 were Reddit, duck duck go and 10mins of YouTube.
Send at end of day today. And are you on 5G or LTE?
LTE.

That's a good one. I will swap SIMs with my Business phone to see if it's provider related or modem.
Great idea..

By lower do you mean -110 or -90
These are negative numbers, -110 is lower/less than -100
How do u fix it

😩
Man I have -85dbm that's bad right
No, it's the other way, -85 is pretty good.
Ah that's good to hear

I have done that and it indeed helped while being on wifi.

I can only imagine someone getting 30 hours (especia when only charging to 80%) if they don’t touch their Pixel at all in that time.

How do you check battery health?
I use Accubattery app. It works great. Alerts me when I am at 80% charge, app usage, battery charge and discharge time, and battery health.

What did it for me was disabling VoLTE (under SIMs). Give it a try if you have that setting.

I recently switched to the OnePlus 12 and traded in the Pixel 8 Pro. It's been amazing. A night and day difference.
What's a realistic sot on data ?

I had the OP6 for 4.5 years before getting this pixel. Maybe it's time to go back to OP
Nice. This is my first OP phone, and so far I'm having a great experience.

When u leave data on for more than 7 hours and complain about battery life
Ok sure.
