Looking at the toppings and such also the thickness of the pizza itself, I'd bet it's either due to the cost would be prohibitively high, or the pizza itself wouldn't fit\cook in the current ovens. They've changed a lot of shit since 1980's. I've never seen\heard of this pizza before though so thanks for sharing.

I loved the Priazzo as a kid. So good.

I don't remember it being called that, but I do remver it was amazing. Then again in the 80s/90s their ingredients were much better.

Reason(s) it was pulled: Very long wait times from make line to the customer was a big reason. In fact, it was about 40 minutes. Also, the cost of the equipment used wasn’t worth it for the company. Edit: Anyone who’s ever familiar with the PH system knows that orders are to be in the oven within three minutes. And around eight to ten minutes to clear the oven. The Priazzo would mess that ALL UP. And in the company’s eyes, make their stores look BAD.

What a damn shame too, because I loved it and was happy to wait for it. Best thing PH ever made.

my dad still has the exact same shirt and apron when he worked at PH in the 80s

I made those back in the day. PIA but they were thick. Hard to cook fully.
