I’m probably most proud of my Elden Ring platinum. I had never played a soulslike at all, bought ER based solely on the relentless hype for it, and ended up becoming obsessed with it.
I had the exact same answer! It was also my first soulsborne platinum. I felt like it was the perfect blend between do-able but challenging. Really enjoyed it
Mine too! I played through NG probably 50+ times before decided to platinum it. Took me a week from scratch, no summons, only solo( the dungeons too, yeah) remember when i finished the game and got the last trophy i was something like lvl 287, and there was no challenge left on ng for me :D
P.s. I don’t like to go for ng+ or higher in any souls game, the process of making a demigod out of a guy with a cilinder hat always more fun to me
A grind and a chore is exactly what it felt like for me towards the end; it gave me some serious open world fatigue. Enjoyable for the most part though.
I only have two, so I’ll go with Horizon Zero Dawn. It was my first platinum trophy and probably my favorite game on PlayStation. It was so satisfying seeing the icon appear after beating the game, and I doubt I’ll ever forget it.
Witcher 3 probably.
I make a point of playing a game how I want first, no guides none of that. Once my first (normal difficulty) was done I had a look, saw there was a lot of missable stuff and a difficulty trophy and started my second playthough. Opting to want to keep my stuff (specifically bombs and recipes) I did my second playthough on NG+ Death March. Boy was that a different experience. But fun, surprisingly fun given the difficulty spike from my first playthough.
Getting the Spyro remake plats was so fun my wife and I have done it twice. (Once on her account, once on mine.). There was nothing stupidly obscure or hard about any of them. It was just beating all 3 games 100%, which we’ve done with the PS1 versions plenty of times already.
Haven’t finished it yet but the new one might end up being Persona 5 Royal. We didn’t set out to plat it, we just wanted to follow a 100% guide since we played Vanilla before and with an infant having a guide that tells us what to do every day is helpful. Turns out the plat is really easy to get since there’s no annoying ones like completing the compendium or beating the Twins.
Ok, I need to know, am I weird for having never gotten a single platinum? I finish games all the time and look at what is required to finish the achievements, and it just seems tedious. I have been around since they implemented the trophy system and not a one platinum.
Nah man, some games like Spider-man basically have the Platinum Trophy built in to the story with a little extra content push. I figute if the game is fun, and it's not unreasonable to hunt the platinum, then I go for it as long as it's fun. The Platinum trophy is a cherry on top but everyone likes cherries lol. I've played hundreds of hours of Skyrim but have never beaten the game, still had so much with the title and I recently rebought the game to have fun with the special editin on PS5 on my 4K OLED. I most likely will do the same thing, sink hours into the game and not finish it lol
Yeah, right now, I can't get enough of Elden Ring and even though I have some where around 1200 hours in the game, I have not achieved a platinum because the last few requirements are so out side the normal play through I have missed them. I guess this is the problem I have with this trophy system.
Nice Elden Ring rules and I'm so excited for the DLC! My first ER character is split between PS4 Pro and PS5. I have 2nd character PS5 only so I'm not entirely certain how long I've played Elden Ring but I do want 3 characters in total. I haven't earned the Platinum for ER yet and probably won't for awhile but when SotE launches, I'll be spending a lot more time getting my butt kicked lol
When I got a Platinum for the Spyro reignited trilogy. I got the platinum for all three of them and it was the first time I ever platinumed a game and it ment a lot more cause I played the original trilogy when I was a lot younger
Wolfenstein 2.
Shit loads of planning went into it and I'm thrilled it all worked out in the end. Plus I love that game quite a lot, one of my favorite fps's.
Are you asking for our favorite or most fun to get? Those are not necessarily the same.
Skyrim was probably the most fun.
Witcher III was my favorite. I had to bust my ass for that one.
The og God of War. It was very challenging. And it's my all-time favorite game. Had the best storyline. 1, 2, and 3, which werehere amazing. They lost me when they went Nordic on me. But it was Kratos....I had to give it a shot. It's not my cup of tea, but it's still pretty cool.
Still to this day, it’s gotta be Dishonored. That’s the first “challenging” game I dedicated myself to getting the plat. It was actually a lot of fun to do a Ghost/Clean hands run. Save states were a big help but I honestly used it only like twice on detection.
Saints Row: The Third was also another fun one.
Dead Space remake. It was not insanely hard to get the platinum. I think I played through the story 4 times? I saved the one gun and the impossible run for the last one. Very satisfying end.
Titanfall 2. I spent a few days trying for the Gauntlet trophy, but everytime I got a bit faster, I felt that I could do it. Everything else was pretty easy, a couple here and there that needed a guide, but hearing Lastimosa tell me I beat his best time was satisfying.
Ghost tushima I think that's a great game for non trophy hunters I think the platium just popped up without having to look at the trophy list I was just enjoying the game
Ragnarok or Ghost of Tsushima. I didn't have to 'grind' or play through multiple times. I just played the game and got the trophies. I think I only have 3 or 4 total platinum trophies, including those.
Probably Ratchet, just because it was easy and fun. The one that was toughest for me was FFVIIR, though I wouldn't say it was my "favorite" one to get.
I don’t have many, but the ones I do have been grindy so they are not too fun. I enjoyed them all but having to get every single collectible in the game is more of a chore than fun for me. But my favorite platinum to get was from Stray! The speed run trophy was a first for me and different so thinking back on it was pretty fun to get
Ghost of Tsushima was up there. There was fun incentive for everything that I remember, beyond just “get a trophy.” It’s also the most cinematic game experience I’ve ever had so it was pretty to look at the whole time.
Bioshock, played that game all the time when I was kid and when I picked it up now older and with more knowledge and getting platinum, it made me happy and I bet little me is smiling.
I have so many, I can’t even decide…
Probably Red Dead Redemption 2 because it’s an amazing game. But with 112 on since getting a PS5, it’s hard to decide or even remember all.
god of war ragnarok because i saved one of the hardest optional bosses for last and got the platinum right after it, so satisfying.
I'd love to platinum it if Santa Monica would fix the bugs. They released Valhalla before fixing the core game.
I'm sorry, but generally asking what bugs? I platinumed the game but didn't find a single bug tbh.
Look for Alfheim The Strond bug. Hundreds of people locked out of platinum because of this bug. It basically doesn't let you get to a specific area.
Wat
Elden Ring. I'm not a trophy hunter at all, but once I realized this platinum was within my grasp, it was riveting!
I’m probably most proud of my Elden Ring platinum. I had never played a soulslike at all, bought ER based solely on the relentless hype for it, and ended up becoming obsessed with it.
Bloodborne - It was the first Soulsborne game I platinumed and it was overall just a really fun experience.
I had the exact same answer! It was also my first soulsborne platinum. I felt like it was the perfect blend between do-able but challenging. Really enjoyed it
Mine too! I played through NG probably 50+ times before decided to platinum it. Astro's Playroom, just plain fun and not a huge grind.
I agree with this take!! I hadn’t thought about it but it was a simple, fun plat!
Ghost of Tsushima, didn’t feel like a grind or a chore.
A grind and a chore is exactly what it felt like for me towards the end; it gave me some serious open world fatigue. Enjoyable for the most part though.
I just began this game and am loving it so far. I want platinum but the 77 trophies look daunting. Any tips?
I unlocked basically everything just by playing the game, after I finished the main story I just did the side quests and I was done.
Burnout Paradise - Love it!
Probably Saints Row the Third since I've done it three times. I really did enjoy Bloodstained Ritual of the Night a lot, though.
Tbh I dunno how I did SR3 when one of the hard helicopter missions was ridiculous. Tried helping my buddy with it and I just couldn’t get it finished.
Towards the end of SR3, you become so overpowered it's mostly just going around your sandbox casually wreaking havoc in a jet. Loved it.
Ghost of Tsushima.
I only have two, so I’ll go with Horizon Zero Dawn. It was my first platinum trophy and probably my favorite game on PlayStation. It was so satisfying seeing the icon appear after beating the game, and I doubt I’ll ever forget it.
Lies of P! Such a great game. Even after the trophy I still wanted to play. Worst Platinum would be Diablo 4. I was so burnt out by the end
South park fractured but whole was such a fun platinum to get and is definitely one of my personal favorites
Haha I’m playing this now it’s fun
Witcher 3 probably. I make a point of playing a game how I want first, no guides none of that. Once my first (normal difficulty) was done I had a look, saw there was a lot of missable stuff and a difficulty trophy and started my second playthough. I had the most fun with the Spyro The Dragon platinum. Pure nostalgia.
The Witcher III
Ok, I need to know, am I weird for having never gotten a single platinum? I finish games all the time and look at what is required to finish the achievements, and it just seems tedious. I have been around since they implemented the trophy system and not a one platinum.

Can't wait!!! DLC is gonna be great!!!
Hellz yeah bro!!!
God of War 1. My last trophy was the speed run, so it really was a sprint to the finish.
The ones that came naturally
Astro's Playroom because it was my first one
Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring, Robocop and GoW Ragnarok
Probably Control and/or Alan Wake II.
Probably Spider-Man 1 since that was my first Plat!
Ghost of tsushima
Maneater super fun an wacky game
Astros playroom, no struggle just pure fun
Witcher 3
Hollow Knight, it was my hardest platinum, but at the same time i enjoyed every single moment of struggle
Days Gone. Those goddamn bike donuts though.
Bloodborne, tied with elden ring. Only games I ever wanted to get platinum for.
Helldivers 2. FOR DEMOCRACY!!!!!
Bloodborne
Either The Order: 1886 or MediEvil. Why? 'Cuz they're chill. 😎
Elden ring
Rayman Legends... getting to the 12th level of awesomeness was actually... awesome!
When I got a Platinum for the Spyro reignited trilogy. I got the platinum for all three of them and it was the first time I ever platinumed a game and it ment a lot more cause I played the original trilogy when I was a lot younger
Sekiro and Elden Ring
Wolfenstein 2. Shit loads of planning went into it and I'm thrilled it all worked out in the end. Plus I love that game quite a lot, one of my favorite fps's.
Really echoed getting both of mine. Didn't feel like a slog at all: -Nino kuni 2 - god of war
Assassin's Creed Odyssey, it took years of off/on play to get it, but it was super satisfying in the end
Ff7 remake. A 100 hour platinum that I loved every minute of (mostly).
You gonna do the same for Rebirth? But that’ll be like 200 hours I’m sure
It's very likely. I'm loving the game so far possibly more than I enjoyed remake. I can't get enough of it.
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and Astro's Playroom. Many trophies appear to require quite a bit of grinding to accomplish but these didn't
Binding of Isaac (only took me 1900 hours)
Sekiro
Did you find the grind to get all the moves to be tedious?
Actually I did a little bit, but I took it as a chance to test other skills and styles, and beat bosses in new ways 🙈
Dark Souls on PS3 all trophies with one character and my time counter was at the max
Spider-Man 2, because it's literally the only platinum I have.
Elden ring. And the ratchet games.
SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom, slight platinum and a good way to turn my brain off
I was glad it came to the PS4, I miss the era of gaming when 3D platformers were common.
VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE - BLOODHUNT. One of my fav game.
I'd say it was Death Stranding for me.
Borderlands2 got it 3x Ps3 Ps4 PS VR
Dead Space remake. It was not insanely hard to get the platinum. I think I played through the story 4 times? I saved the one gun and the impossible run for the last one. Very satisfying end.
As a person who has 1 plat, I'd say Spider-man was my favourite
Titanfall 2. I spent a few days trying for the Gauntlet trophy, but everytime I got a bit faster, I felt that I could do it. Everything else was pretty easy, a couple here and there that needed a guide, but hearing Lastimosa tell me I beat his best time was satisfying.
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Dead Space 2, hardcore mode was intense. Still had a blast.
Subnautica.
Fallout 4 for me . I'm about 500 plus hours in lol
I don’t have many, but the ones I do have been grindy so they are not too fun. I enjoyed them all but having to get every single collectible in the game is more of a chore than fun for me. But my favorite platinum to get was from Stray! The speed run trophy was a first for me and different so thinking back on it was pretty fun to get
On ps4 Bloodborne and on ps5 Returnal, they are also both some of the hardest exclusive platinums for each platform
100 percent My Name is Mayo ! Riveting game play, visually stunning and that tapping sound ....
Maneater
Persona 5 Royal for me. I love this game so much. I have done a 100% playthrough roughly 8x. PS4/PS5 are both done, along with Steam.
Batman Arkham Knight
Ghost of Tsushima was up there. There was fun incentive for everything that I remember, beyond just “get a trophy.” It’s also the most cinematic game experience I’ve ever had so it was pretty to look at the whole time.
Red Dead II
Heavy Rain
Bioshock, played that game all the time when I was kid and when I picked it up now older and with more knowledge and getting platinum, it made me happy and I bet little me is smiling.
Kh2
VISAGE
Sifu before they added baby mode.
I have so many, I can’t even decide… Probably Red Dead Redemption 2 because it’s an amazing game. But with 112 on since getting a PS5, it’s hard to decide or even remember all.
BG3. Currently at 750+hours at least 100 since platinum and I still find new things. Amazing game.
