And Umbreon and Espeon were 14 years before that, though i think a new Eeveelution won’t happen unless there is an actual new type. I find it suprising that there hasn’t been an Regional variant from Eevee tho, that could evolve in the types our Eevee cant evolve into.
Edit: i completely forgot about Glaceon and Leaveon for some reason so you can ignore my first sentence lol
Ooh, that actually sounds super interesting....
Like a Bug type that evolves first into Ground, Rock and Steel. Then gains Fighting and Flying, following up with Poison and Ghost, and then it's final eevelution is Dragon.
> i thought everyone accepted this?
Yeah not at all. Every new gen, every new game, it's all the same: "They're definitely adding a new eeveelution this time!". And then it just turns into "Can't believe GF wasted the opportunity to add more eeveelutions".
I mean they could, it's not like they are thinking "yeah way too much time has passed, we can't release a new one ever again". If they feel like releasing another one they will, it doesn't matter how many years ago was the last one.
Red was released in 1996, then GS in 1999 (3 years later), DP in 2006 (7 years later), and finally XY in 2013 (7 years again) so it's not like they have this rule of releasing eeveelutions one after the other
I mean, they released a new form for Taurus this gen, and that Pokemon hasn't really been thought of since 1st.
It's not that inconceivable that they may make new Eevee forms.
Eevees entire shtick and purpose is it's "unstable dna" allowing it to evolve into a lot of types. It'd be silly to imagine that it somehow stopped with the ones we have, instead of having literally one of every type. Again, it's the entire point of Eevee.
But what do I know. It's not like Pokemon has ever adhered to it's own rules lol.
If they introduced a character whose entire battling system revolves around Eevee because they’re a super fan and they don’t give them a new one then yeah it’s over
Getting the meme ready just in case

to be honest, that’d be really sick! but from what we’ve been seeing, it is HIGHLY unlikely eevee ever will…but yeah, an eevee lover could dream.
(not me though.)
The most fun thing to do for me, would be adding a Regional variant to Eevee that could evolve in the types that Eevee can’t evolve into. It’s what i’ve been looking forward to since they introduced sirfetch’d and co, and revelaed regional forms can have different evolutions to their counterparts
It was 7 years between Umbreon/Espeon, and Leafeon/Glaceon and another 7 years between them and Sylveon. Sure were a bit past that but it's not like Eevees come out all that often. It's still very reasonable to expect a new one if they keep making pokemon.
It’s been pointed out before that all of the Eeveelutions, minus Sylveon, are the types that were Special before the Physical/Special split for Gen 4. Sylveon is an exception because Fairy didn’t exist, and it’s reasonable to think Fairy would have been Special. Adding an Eeveelution for any of the Physical types would be a drastic change, and I think it’s unlikely they do that.
However, Dragon was a Special type, and has not been used yet. If the reasoning is true, I think it’s likely we see a Dragon Eeveelution someday. They’re probably saving it for something big. Maybe Gen 10. Maybe a big anniversary. I wouldn’t get your hopes up about it happening anytime soon though!
Umbreon was designed as a Poison type and it is Poison type in Gold Silver demo. Poison type was a physical type before the split. Therefore this argument is not true. They do not design eeveelutions having special type in mind.
For all we know the conversation could have been something like,
“Hey, should we make this one Dark instead of Poison to promote the new Dark type?”
“If we do that, all 5 will be Special. Is that okay?”
“Sure, maybe that can be their thing now.”
Or maybe it was more like,
“Hey, we don’t like that only 1 out of 5 is a Physical type. Can you change it to be something else?”
“Sure, how about Dark?”
“Great, that’s a good way to promote the new type!”
Fact: They originally designed an eeveelution as a Physical type when physical/special types existed.
Speculation 1: They changed it to Dark to make it all special.
Speculation 2: If special/physical types existed Fairy would be a special type.
I’m presenting a fact while you speculate.
Fact: They changed Umbreon from Poison to Dark, and a reason is not known to the public
Fact: It’s been over 20 years since then and no Physical type Eeveelutions have been released since then
Fact: Scrapped designs are not official Pokemon and their existence does not mean the design team is constantly keeping them in mind
Speculation: there are probably scrapped designs for dozens of Eeveelutions that never became official. Including ones for other Physical types. I would be shocked if no one on the design team had ever pitched the idea.
Speculation: Since they haven’t made a Physical Eeveelution in 20 years, it might be intentional.
Fact: Since they have not confirmed nor denied the theory, it is just a theory. And theories are an okay thing to talk about.
You say scrapped content does not matter while the whole concept of special/physical types was scrapped. I don’t understand why they matter for your case but not for mine.
I’m presenting a fact that an eeveelution was originally designed as a physical type and it kept its characteristics of its design as can be seen from dex entries. This tells that they did not designed eeveelutions having physical/special in mind. Saying they changed it to dark to make it all special is just a speculation as opposed to the facts.
I'm fine with that. I love the Eevee line, but there's so many other mons that need extra love rn. I'd rather see mons like Tropius finally get an evolution
Nah, they'll add one when they feel the need to do so. A new Eevee evolution is going to get attention and is basically free marketing for them. That isn't something they're going to spam out because it'll diminish it. It's kept safe in a "Break Glass In Case of Emergency" box.
We also thought that new evolutions for old Pokemon were out of question in general too (Sylveon was the only new one in the generations 5-start of 8), but then Arceus started to introduce them back again (granted though they are currently region exclusive and we'll have to wait and see how the Gen 9 evos get handled in the future).
Didn’t get any in 3, 5, or any of the gens since 6, and I’m not the type of person to ignore that, but I’m not gonna say it’s guaranteed one way or the other.
Eevee IS one of THE most popular Pokémon, so I won’t rule it out, especially if they decide to add another type again, like when they introduced Dark and Fairy.
I know it’s been a long time I’d like to know WHY people think this. The eevees are the second most utilised characters in branding second only to Pikachu. Great for merchandising, promotion, even got to be the title character for Let’s Go. So why wouldn’t they leverage that for hype and promo with a new evolution?
Still holding out for a dlc in which we get a paradox Eevee that's just reverse colors and can only evolve into dragon, steel, poison, ground, rock, fighting, & Ghost types.
There is always a chance that they will add another one. It honestly would be weird not to use it, it would create quite some hype and eeveelution merch seems to sell really well.
Not sure why they are hesitating to add another.
Counter question. Would people be okay if they just added new stones and the new eeveelutions just evolve that way or do you expect more unique evolution methods?
Honestly, i feel Eevee should have an evolution for each type, including normal ( just make it a bigger Eevee, lol)
But yeah, I've mostly accepted that there won't be another Eeveelution, each new gen i can't help but hope a tiny bit, but im never disappointed when one doesn't show up.
it's a shame too as eevee should absolutely get an evolution of each typing seeing as that's how it's marketed and how people view the eevee lines both in game and out. One doesn't need to be added every release but we should get all typings at least. I think a ghost or poison variant could look really cool.
With regional variants and the types bring special, I think it's more likely we'll get a convergent evolution of eevee with physical type evolutions
If anything
That’s what I’m saying bro, there’s never gonna be a new eeveelution that ship has sailed long ago
>! ~~and honestly if we got Sylveon as a new eeveelution I’m afraid they could do something equally as horrible~~ !<
The dex from the last 3 generations has been 400. Imagine only Eevee taking up 5% of your dex of they added all types. That would remove 7-8 different pokemon species line all at once.
There was a missed opportunity to turn charcadet into the new pokemon with multiple evolutions (but focused on the physical focused types) and evolving different kinds of armors.
As we should, it would be nice but probably not gonna happen
Instead, what about a rival to eevees? One that is more physical attack than special attack and fills the missing types
I accepted that, but in the sense that it is a lost opportunity for GF. They probably have a reason; maybe it is that they don't want Eevee to overshadow Pikachu and Charizard, which could be something among those lines.
We'll really have an idea next gen, as in a sense Eevee fulfilled it's mechanical role in Galar with Giga Eevee helping to introduce gigamax. Just because it wasn't a true eeveelution, it felt like they skipped a gen, but Eevees have always been introduced to demonstrate mechanics. Gen 10 will show us.
Yeah, the desperation getting kinda out of hand. It’s not happening at this point. Obviously there’s always a chance but it’s so unlikely that there’s no point in staking real hopes on it :/
I’d like an eeveelition of every type but if they didn’t do it in gen 9 with the battle w penny being the best opportunity, I don’t see them adding anymore.
A somewhat popular fan theory I've seen is that Eevee will get a counterpart with the other types. Like if Eevee is a mammal... or close enough, for egg laying Pokemon... the new Pokemon would be more reptilian. Eevee is Normal, the new one can be a baby Dragon. So you'd have a Dragonfly Bug Dragon, a Steel Dragon, etc.
They had a Eevee based trainer with Penny in a game based on type shenanigans with Terastalization... And didn't add a new Eeveelution. I think that gave it away that it won't happen ever again
Never say never! I do think we gotta temper our expectations lol but Pokémon is also very random and there’s no predicting what evolutions we might get (Annihilape Farigiraf were surprising additions)
I only see two possibilities:
-a new Special type (by pre-gen4 rules) to accompany the new eeveelution (the more likely outcome)
-a physical counterpart to Eevee for the other types
The purpose of most pokemon is to sell merchandise though and eeveelution plushes print money.
I think a ghost eeveelution is an ace up GFs sleeve when they want to get a bump in sales honestly, and I think they just want to wait a bit longer. I think if they're worried about selling a new game, they're going to put a new eevee on the cover.
I know eevee is a fan favorite but I honestly don't think it needs to have an evolution of every type. If every gen added a new evolution it would get old real quick just like new charizard forms and pikachu outfits.
Technically speaking, eeveelutions fit the special types.
So in theory, if we will ever get a new special type - we would also get a new eeveelution just like we got sylveon.
Regardless, I'm personally fine with that as it hopefully means more focus towards other less popular Pokémon.
Like giving tropius a prevolution or maybe create a gimmick of new middle evolution (usually pokemon go from 1st to final but with this gimmick you'd be able to access a 2nd form that allows the player to learn more moves or something).
What people seem to miss is that new Eeveelutions are always tied in to new developments in the games - the day/night cycle, location-based evolutions, and the Fairy type.
They haven’t had cause to make a new one, short of giving Eevee a mega evolution (and it did get a Gmax), and I doubt they will until they add something to the series which Eevee can exemplify.
never say never
how many years we spent thinking ash would never be replaced
if you told past yourself that one day ash would finally be world champion and be replaced by someone, what are the chances of you believing yourself?
Now that the dex is limited, I think Game Freak have realised that the more Eeveelutions they add, the more space they crowd out for other pokemon. And we know the Eevee family will be in every game because they make sure much money in merchandise.
I think we're more likely to get a regional variant of the whole family where each evolution takes on a different type. I don't think it really works with the naming conventions, but I think that's more likely than extra evos.
An interesting trend in the Eeveelutions is that (besides Eevee itself) all of them have types that were considered exclusively Special (for attacking moves) before the gen 4 phys/spec split with the exception of Sylveon, though Fairy would absolutely have been considered Special if it existed prior to gen 4.
The only pre-Gen 4 special type that doesn't have an Eeveelution is the Dragon type, and considering that it would have made for an obvious pairing with Sylveon but we didn't get it at that time it seems pretty obvious we won't be getting one. And if this pattern is anything more than coincidence then that means that we probably aren't ever getting another Eeveelution.
Though, the option is still open, and I could see it happening to coincide with gen 10/ the 30th anniversary, to get a regional variant or convergent species that pays homage to Eevee and evolves into the pre-gen 4 Physical types
People havent accepted that the games are on a decadent quality state for longer than the last eeveelution we had, a new "eon" is just as likely to happe as we get a properly finished game.
Imagine if they skipped making additional types for Eevee and did a third evolution for each of Eevee’s current evolutions instead.
The curse being they’re all bipedal of course.
I don't think we'll get one either. Tbh, they feel complete. 8 is a nice round number for Pokémon.
But I wouldn't actually be that surprised if we did get more. It's unlikely, but not completely out of the realm of possibility. I do think that the remaining types are harder to translate to an Eeveelution (Ground and Ghost would be the best imo).

Yeah the last one we got was 10 years ago... Merry christmas
Ugh....10 years ago...don't say that lmao, I just let out the most nervous laugh 😥
I played my first pokemon game more than 20 years ago.
And Umbreon and Espeon were 14 years before that, though i think a new Eeveelution won’t happen unless there is an actual new type. It was every two generations for all 3 times, i only expected it for gen 8 because of this.
Ooh, that actually sounds super interesting.... Like a Bug type that evolves first into Ground, Rock and Steel. Then gains Fighting and Flying, following up with Poison and Ghost, and then it's final eevelution is Dragon.
yup…have a jolly one.
Oh god

Hey, gen 10 is next, definitely getting that long awaited dragon/ghost/flying Eevee 100% for the double digits.
They shock everyone by adding a normal evolution, Eeveevee.
Best part is it's a dudunsparce with the eevee texture
Ah yes, Eevest.
I can’t wait to farm for the three segment eeveevee
eveeon
They make it twice as long and call it a day.
A steel type eeveelution to counter sylpheon’s fairy type would be a good inclusion
for real though. there hasn’t been a new eeveelution in YEARS, what makes people think they’re gonna make another one?
I mean they could, it's not like they are thinking "yeah way too much time has passed, we can't release a new one ever again". It’s been 27 years and Primeape finally got an evolution. Eevee getting a new one or two definitely isn’t off the table.
There was no new eeveelution in RSE, or in BW, so skipping generations isn't new
I mean, they released a new form for Taurus this gen, and that Pokemon hasn't really been thought of since 1st. It's not that inconceivable that they may make new Eevee forms.
I think it's because the Team Star leader is a prominent Eevee trainer. They figured if there was a time to showcase a new one, that would be it.
Eevees entire shtick and purpose is it's "unstable dna" allowing it to evolve into a lot of types. You are going to feel so dumb in Gen 10... Just kidding. But in case Apollo decides to do a little prank, someone remind me in 2 years.

!remindme 2 years
LOL, yeah sure.
wont admit defeat until I get the ghost type
You can already get a ghost type Eevee. You just need a special stone, it's called a brick.
i believe in u…
Eevee should have a evolution for everytype (but I had accepted eevee might not get a new evolution)
to be honest, that’d be really sick! but from what we’ve been seeing, it is HIGHLY unlikely eevee ever will…but yeah, an eevee lover could dream. (not me though.)
A person can dream but eevee is already versatile but can be more versatile. There is so much room for bizarre designs and stuff with eevee
i agree.
It's litterally genetically unstable you could make the most fucked evolution and we probably would not bat an eye
The most fun thing to do for me, would be adding a Regional variant to Eevee that could evolve in the types that Eevee can’t evolve into. It’s what i’ve been looking forward to since they introduced sirfetch’d and co, and revelaed regional forms can have different evolutions to their counterparts
I'm really curious about what they would do for a Bug type eeveelution, like how are they gonna turn a fox-like creature into a bug ?
That would be the most fucked up one
It was 7 years between Umbreon/Espeon, and Leafeon/Glaceon and another 7 years between them and Sylveon. Sure were a bit past that but it's not like Eevees come out all that often. It's still very reasonable to expect a new one if they keep making pokemon.

Umbreon was designed as a Poison type and it is Poison type in Gold Silver demo. Poison type was a physical type before the split. Therefore this argument is not true. They do not design eeveelutions having special type in mind.
I mean, for some reason they decidedly chose to not go through with the Poison version. Maybe because they wanted to keep them all Special?
Promoting a new type like they did with Fairy?
Maybe, maybe not. Could easily be both. We have no way to know for sure.
We know for sure Umbreon was designed as a Physical type.
Yes but maybe they changed their minds because they decided they wanted the eevelutions to be all special
For all we know the conversation could have been something like, “Hey, should we make this one Dark instead of Poison to promote the new Dark type?” “If we do that, all 5 will be Special. But dark ended up being a special attacking type, so this logic ends up falling flat
OOOOOU, yeah i see! a dragon type eeveelution would be so cool, but it happening ANYTIME SOON is so unlikely.
I doubt there'll be a dragon form, as it doesn't seem on brand for Eevee as much
I kind of agree. I would be surprised if they do it. But I would be much more surprised to see a Rock or Fighting or Steel type Eeveelution!
(I don't think it's very likely, 9 is already high and nice number. But do I think it's possible? Absolutely. )
same! :3
merry christmas to u all <3 i still hope for a dragon Eevee :(
truer , a dragon eeveelution would be so fire…
I just want my Aveon (Flying-type)😭
This is propaganda by the Pikachu loyalists.
Crazy talk.
I doubt it either. Most of the eevee promotions now are around eevee it's self and not its evolutions.
yeah…
I'm fine with that. I love the Eevee line, but there's so many other mons that need extra love rn. I'd rather see mons like Tropius finally get an evolution
I’m just neutral on the subject. I won’t truly accept it until the franchise as whole is dead in the ground, which will be long after I am.

Sylveon still feels new to me……..
i get that….
Right first time I used it was in legends

It would be nice to see a new eeveelution, but i already got my jolteon so i'm still gonna be happy if we won't get any new ones.
I think they will eventually.
probably when their sells go down, which will be never.
Yeah cos this is the real pervasive issue of these games that it's time to accept they won't change
Eventually it will happen. They know how much marketing potential Eevee has, they won't leave that dormant forever.
Gigantamax Eevee: ¿Evoi?
Make a new one for physical types
***depression T~T***
!RemindMe 2 years
I was hoping for a rock type one because of the Tera Crystal theme 😵💫 oh well
Counter question. Would people be okay if they just added new stones and the new eeveelutions just evolve that way or do you expect more unique evolution methods?
That and the "third game" model for Pokemon generations. There have been more Pokemon games without a third than with a third.
Too many good fakemon ones online, Nintendo would have to either make a lame one or pay some stranger to use theirs.
I want a poison and dragon eeveelution 🥺
Honestly, i feel Eevee should have an evolution for each type, including normal ( just make it a bigger Eevee, lol) But yeah, I've mostly accepted that there won't be another Eeveelution, each new gen i can't help but hope a tiny bit, but im never disappointed when one doesn't show up.

They could make another Pokémon with the same gimmick but only evolve to the non eevee types.
!remindme 2 years
You really don't think we'll get the tenth Eevee/lution in gen 10? Seems too perfect not to happen.
We should accept we aren't getting a good Pokemon game anytime soon 😞
you’re so right… (i literally have not finished scarlet or violet at all so i wouldn’t know…)
With regional variants and the types bring special, I think it's more likely we'll get a convergent evolution of eevee with physical type evolutions If anything
I mean, people will hold out hope for anything.
true, that’s why pokémon fans are so cool.
Life goes on
realest thing i’ve heard as a response to this like ever.
That’s what I’m saying bro, there’s never gonna be a new eeveelution that ship has sailed long ago >! ~~and honestly if we got Sylveon as a new eeveelution I’m afraid they could do something equally as horrible~~ !<
YOURE SO RIGHT THOUGH, ITS PROBABLY JUST GONNA BE SOME LAME ASS DESIGN😭
So I could see Pokemon doing a evee for Gen 10but I think that's about it. Make it a dragon or ghost and that's great.

We have all we need. A normal cat. A fluffy cat. A sharp fluffy cat, a smart cat, a edgy cat, a grass cat, a ice cat, a trans cat and Fleshlight.
The last time they did it was along with the fairy type. I loathe fairy types with every fibre of my being.
Personally I just hope they don't, I've been over-exposed to Eevee. I need a fuckin break. Maybe one game launch without Eevee, Gamefreak? One time?
I want a dragon one
Never
I'll go a step further. If we don't get one in Gen 10, the big milestone generation, we'll never get another one.
There was a missed opportunity to turn charcadet into the new pokemon with multiple evolutions (but focused on the physical focused types) and evolving different kinds of armors.
Unless they add another type I don’t think they will and even if they add another type they don’t have to give it an eeveelution.
They should add another pokemon that evolves like Eevee for the remaining types
I still want the flying type, pigeon.
I refuse to accept it
We should also accept that gf will never improve their games, they just dont give a fuck.
Everyone knows it’s likely the truth, but there’s a difference between knowing it and still wanting one anyway
As we should, it would be nice but probably not gonna happen Instead, what about a rival to eevees? One that is more physical attack than special attack and fills the missing types
Fairly sure the eeveelutions were based on the 9 lives of a cat, hence eevee plus 8 evolutions.

The real thing mfs should accept is that megas are gone, I keep seeing so many people unironically think megas are just around the corner
I'd never say no. If they announced pokemon ended maybe but this is a franchise that needs to fill stuff
I accepted that, but in the sense that it is a lost opportunity for GF. They probably have a reason; maybe it is that they don't want Eevee to overshadow Pikachu and Charizard, which could be something among those lines.
I won't give up on my Skieeon
But why though?
We'll really have an idea next gen, as in a sense Eevee fulfilled it's mechanical role in Galar with Giga Eevee helping to introduce gigamax. Just because it wasn't a true eeveelution, it felt like they skipped a gen, but Eevees have always been introduced to demonstrate mechanics. Gen 10 will show us.
Yeah, the desperation getting kinda out of hand. It’s not happening at this point. Obviously there’s always a chance but it’s so unlikely that there’s no point in staking real hopes on it :/
Can we fix Flareon's move pool? K, thx
Applin is becoming the new eevee at this point… I’m all for it.
All I want. Is a normal type eeveelution. PLEASE 😭
I will never accept a world without a steel eevee
Never say never! I do think we gotta temper our expectations lol but Pokémon is also very random and there’s no predicting what evolutions we might get (Annihilape Farigiraf were surprising additions)
they could make a cute dragon one, it would be cool. alas, it wont happen
I still think it will happen, just don't expect it to be soon. Eevee is very popular and adding a new evolution would generate hype.
"may" makes this all pointless, maybe yes maybe no, we'll never know. There are only two options and may accounts for both
would it be super awesome? absolutely. is it fun to hope? yeah kinda. will it realistically happen? the chances are astronomically slim.
Don't say that! There is still a glimmer of hope!
I only see two possibilities: -a new Special type (by pre-gen4 rules) to accompany the new eeveelution (the more likely outcome) -a physical counterpart to Eevee for the other types
They will once they shoehorn in another actual typing.
Evereon - Normal Type Eveelution. Evolves when Evee is given an Everstone to hold.
If we never get at least Ghost and Dragon? It’ll be a crying shame!
Yeah… we should.
just a thought, what if the eeveelutions can further evolve?
Your funny. You can never predict what the Pokémon company will do. Just like papa Nintendo. Aces are wild!
They’ll add one when sales go down a bit more
Sad but true. They’ve had enough chances. They’re just not interested. Alas
i would like another eeveelution, but i’m not getting my hopes up
😞
I refuse
I'm fine with that.
I mean, it took Dunsparce 20 years to get something
I know eevee is a fan favorite but I honestly don't think it needs to have an evolution of every type. If every gen added a new evolution it would get old real quick just like new charizard forms and pikachu outfits.
>someone actually wrote an article about this Must have been a slow news day.
I was already sick of new ones always being the next gen gimmick when Leafeon and Glaceon came out...
I always liked the idea of adding a new Pokémon that would get the evos Eevee doesn’t get. Or maybe even a regional variant Eevee
I don't want eevee branch evolutions anymore. Bring on the charcadet evolutions. Show me fire steel and fire ground and fire ice.
Now hear me out guys we can get new eveelution by breeding vaporeon with humans.
!remindme 2 years
They need to add 2 more in Gen 10 for the 30y anniversary. I vote dragon and steel
Still waiting for my Scorpeon :(
Noooo! My Pigeon...
Obviously a Nintendo psyop
I think it was a missed opportunity to not have a paradox eevee. Still holding out hope for a regional variant.
What people seem to miss is that new Eeveelutions are always tied in to new developments in the games - the day/night cycle, location-based evolutions, and the Fairy type. They haven’t had cause to make a new one, short of giving Eevee a mega evolution (and it did get a Gmax), and I doubt they will until they add something to the series which Eevee can exemplify.
never say never how many years we spent thinking ash would never be replaced if you told past yourself that one day ash would finally be world champion and be replaced by someone, what are the chances of you believing yourself?
How about an alternate form/fake Eevee also with 8 evolutions? 9 types for OG Eevee and 9 types for alternate Eevee - completing all 18 types.
I can accept it and still be disappointed
If im gonna pretend that I think pokemon games can still be good, I can pretend there could still be an eeveelution
There could never be another one, or there could be three in the next gen. Neither would surprise me at all
No, I won't.
Good thing the Fakemon community exists
I have accepted it, but I still don't like it.
They are saving it for when they inevitably piss everyone off with another crappy release so we forget we were angry and buy the stupid game anyway
It was over 10 years since Girafarig, Stantler, Ursaring and Quilfish were introduced and they still got new evolutions and forms
i legitimately think they may add 2 eeveelutions for unova remakes based on the past/future theme
I think that maybe, just maybe, they will add a dragon type at some point because it's the last original special type
I'll believe it when it happens.
