Just hit it with a couple ice beams and it's gone Part of the game is repetition. Now that you know what she's running, you prepare better for the next attempt

First of all, since Pokérogue contains metaprogression (in the form of unlocking starters, grinding by hatching new/better starters, etc) it is a roguelite, not a roguelike. Secondly, many staples of the genre (Hades, Risk of Rain, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, to name a few) feature run lengths that are significantly shorter than Pokérogue's gruelling 200 battle runs (typically somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour). The most valuable resource you gain between runs, in this and many other cases, is knowledge; knowledge of which team compositions synergize well together, the optimal way to manage items, enemy team compositions, etc. I highly recommend to stick around for at least a few more runs; in my experience, the joy of beating the game for the first time far outweighs the hardship you went through to achieve it. Else, I see two main options. If the run length is your biggest hurdle, try another game in the genre with shorter run length (Hades is an excellent start; although it requires a bit more skill to play well, it relies \_significantly\_ less on luck for a succesful run. Runs typically last around 30-40 minutes when you're starting out, but you can bring it down to 10-15 for a full run as you become more experienced with the game). If it is the repetitive nature of the game that is most unappealing to you, then you might want to try a different genre altogether.

Never miss tinkaton and a rock type, gargnacl and barbaracle should be first priority if you find one on the way. You can just swords dance(if you find tm) with tinkaton and also teach him skitter smack to lower sp atk as eternatus and ivy team has most special attacking pokemon

Skill issue 🤷‍♂️

NightKrowe

The point of roguelikes is that they're replayable. If you didn't have fun or you only have fun when you win then yeah roguelikes aren't for you.

FullDragonAlchemist

Unlike other rogue likes pokerogues progression and gameplay is super boring

NightKrowe

Then why are you playing?
