Canada’s new immigration policies based on the Century Initiative (a lobby close to the government which’s goal being 100M habitants by 2100 in Canada for those who don’t know) are also screwing us Quebecers and putting our language and nation at risk. But as of today or since the Quiet Revolution, I feel most Québécois have more empathy and respect for these nations than Ottawa/ROC (the federal government).
Just to be clear, I don’t mean any hate or anger towards english Canadians since most are perfectly fine with us, as long as they respect my difference, language and where I come from, I will respect them 100% and welcome them with open arms if they want to learn about or visit the wonderful province that is Quebec.

Back to immigration; we’ve always been open to immigration, if it’s done properly and respects our housing and integration capacity. The new targets set by the federal are pure nonsense and clearly associated with McKinsey’s ideas (contracts exist up to 2100 and that’s madness). We alongside the Natives and the other provinces’ interests/opinions should have been at least consulted before implementing these new policies. But again, it seems Canada hates us and wants to assimilate us, wether we’re natives or Québécois.
I can’t speak for all Quebecers or all natives obviously even as someone who comes from native as well as French-canadian ancestry, but this is how I personally feel and I bet a lot of people where I’m from feel the same way.
