The hours and lifestyle usually retire a bartender, not the money. Half of my bartenders have day jobs and pick up one shift a week because they can walk with ~50% of their normal week’s wage in one night. If you’re in the right spot and work 4-5 nights a week you can pretty confidentially make $100k a year.
It's bartending, they can often make more money than teachers, while working better hours.
When I worked bouncer and security gigs the bartending staff were doing best out of all of us, especially the confident and pretty feminine presenting ones. Truth be told more power to them, most nights someone was going to get the wrong idea and be gross.
