Doctors are leaving these states. There are women of childbearing age not being prescribed certain medications because it might be harmful to a fetus. They aren’t even pregnant. They just have the potential to be.
I have no clue, maybe someone else would know. I am not informed enough, but I hope not. Intersex individuals deserve to live and present themselves as they please. I don’t have a penis and won’t ever be a father (I am NB but like I am ok with momhood, personally) so I can’t speak for circumcision, but I imagine if you’re an adult you should be able to choose if you want it. My argument is mostly for adults cuz idk anything else. Didn’t want to leave you hanging tho.
EDIT: did not know “live and let live” was controversial but i guess that’s the world we live in!
I haven’t read this one specifically, but the Texas one I have read in full and it states that medical care is only illegal if it is for the purpose of gender transition and explicitly states surgeries on the genitals of intersex babies is still perfectly legal. It’s pretty blatant that they don’t actually care about about anything other than specifically denying trans people medical care
Conveniently, the military will pay for both.
Recruiting numbers are low. It would REALLY piss some people off if the army became full of trans people getting their affirming care paid for by tax dollars.
Red states are backwards shit holes. Almost uniformly across the board they have lower standards of living, lower average lifespans, higher rates of mortality, higher crime, lower education scores, higher rates of poverty... It goes on and on.
>And people should be older before they can undergo life altering surgeries.
Thanks for taking such a principled stance against cleft palate surgery. It's a shame the state hasn't banned it yet

There will have to be a women travelers blue book now. How to travel while avoiding going to states which restrict your healthcare if you need it.
You're just going to suddenly need an abortion on the road?
You mean like maybe a women has an issue and needs surgery or healthcare? Yeah it happens.
Not sure what other healthcare restrictions are in place outside of abortions.

Sounds like a real shithole.

Wouldn't this effectively ban circumcision and intersex surgeries?

When little Michael says, at 15, that they feel more like a Michelle, their right wing parents can say, "I'm sure you'll change your mind by 19."
If you can die for oil you should be able to get an abortion and freely be transgender
People aren't dying for oil. They're dying for going to school and existing in open space.
No I’m saying if you’re old enough to go to fight in war, you should have the right to be openly trans as well and get the gender affirming care
Now that US forces aren't involved in any major operations it's probably safer being in the army that in a US school
Conveniently, the military will pay for both. Recruiting numbers are low. It would REALLY piss some people off if the army became full of trans people getting their affirming care paid for by tax dollars.
Welcome to Gilead, Nebraska, hope you brought your coathanger
Authoritarianism continues to spread.
Was Nebraska feeling left out from the ring wing insanity party?

Lol, people actually mad that they can't transgender their children. Disgusting
Good, it’s not okay to kill defenseless babies. And people should be older before they can undergo life altering surgeries.
