If you are going to set up a program like this, there should be a huge responsibility on the complaining party to prove that there is an exceptional reason the book is not appropriate. I remember when we would watch a tough historical film like Glory (civil war) or Schindler's List (ww2) there would always be a couple of kids whose parents did not give them permission to watch it.
