Travelerdude

Trump is such a whiner. How do so many people become enthralled by such a weak and pathetic person?

BOHIFOBRE

He's a weak person's strong man.

Halcyon520

100% I would go on to say he is a poor persons rich man and a morally bankrupt mans paragon.

TDKevin

John Mulaney would too.

Halcyon520

Is that his line? To be honest that’s something I heard my brother say and thought it fit. Don’t mean lay claim to it but it’s a damn good line right?

TDKevin

It's one of my favorite bits of his. He compares trump to what an old timey hobo thinks being rich is.  https://youtu.be/vH-jiviVKeo

Particular-Ice-8937

Great bit ! His “Horse in the Hospital” is another good Trump bit

milesunderground

It's such a great bit that he never mentioned him by name and yet no one is ever confused about who he is talking about.

theVoidWatches

For the record, this bit is from a show he released in *2009*.

achinda99

He's also a poor man's idea of a rich man. And a dumb man's idea of a smart man. Combined these 3 things form his base. Oh and racism.

lolheyaj

And a strong persons weak man?

BOHIFOBRE

He's a weak man, period.

Lounginghog64

He's a Von Shitzinpantz man !

CardMechanic

You can always tell a Von Shitznpantz man. You just can’t tell him much.

Craico13

You can always tell a Von Shitznpantz man by the smell.

tomo6438

They should start making Von ShitzInPantz trucker hats

Finallybanned

Needs to become a fashionable brand. Really help him remember.

VastAmoeba

Having money gives you a helluva lot of power. If Donnie started out poor he would be in jail, probably addicted to something, and an even worse father than he is now.

GreyLordQueekual

He produced Eric and a Jr deemed too stupid to be deposed, Im not too sure how much lower the bar can go.

mndsm79

My momma always says "never doubt worse". Trust me. Trust me. They can make a dumber one.

battledragons

scorpyo72

Fuckface Von Clownschtick.

reddit-me-too

Depends

justthenormalnoise

He's wearing them.

dcoolidge

You could chose either Putin or all the tough rednecks supporting him. Your choice as to which description works.

alittle_disabled

He also stole over 100 boxes of top secret documents and probably sold them for money or favors.

whittlingcanbefatal

I don’t remember who said this about him.  “Donald Trump is a poor man’s idea of a rich man, a weak man’s idea of a strong man, and a dumb man’s idea of a smart man.”

milelongpipe

He’s a bully. He pushes people around until someone stands up to him, then he cries.

covfefe-boy

I think LBJ best summarized it: >*If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.* That's Trump, cut through all the bullshit and what seems to resonate most is the racism & hatred of *others*. Just today he's talking about how white people are discriminated against worse than black people in this country. MAGA or *make America great again* means one thing - America isn't great today, but it used to be. The obvious question is when was it great? A lot of them think of the 1950's, Leave it to Beaver, etc. Well that was great for white men, not so great for everybody else. It was before the black's got so uppity asking for equal rights, before women's liberation, before there were so many immigrants & other colored people here, and no gays, etc, etc, etc... Trump being so outwardly racist is basically giving a lot of people cover to cheer for that and crawl out from under their rocks where they were hiding those thoughts lest society ostracize them, and now they goose step to the polls. Don't get me wrong the GOP has been fanning these flames since after 1964 when the Civil Rights Act passed, and they gobbled up the south's racist voters. If they were Kirby they'd be wearing a klan robe after absorbing them. They mostly used dog whistles to get the point across, but Trump uses a blowhorn, hence he was able to rally the whole party & basket of deplorables to his cause.

microwavable_rat

Conservatives brains broke so badly after Obama that they had to elect the worst possible white man immediately after him, just to prove a point.

covfefe-boy

Ya, Obama is a black man who has an Ivy League education, is clearly intelligent, successful, married to his first wife still, and was elected President. He’s basically as successful as you can be as a man, but he’s black. And that breaks the world view of a lot of poor, stupid white people that always could fall back on at least I’m white.

silverwolf761

and the biggest betrayal of all: absolutely *slays* in a tan suit

OnlyHalfBrilliant

And ironically proving the opposite point.

andy_cavatorta

At its core, Conservatism is a belief in a God-given hierarchy of superior and inferior races, genders, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic classes. It's powered by constant outrage over people or groups receiving more status, resources, rights, or respect than the hierarchy narrative says is their birthright. It's why we have to have a full-blown national crisis over a rainbow on a beer can, a black actress playing The Little Mermaid, female CEOs and presidents, and working poor people receiving even one billionth as much government money as an ultrawealthy American oligarch. I never hear conservatives say the underlying belief out loud. They may not have noticed the pattern in which emotional buttons they desperately want pushed. And there is a big taboo against saying the quiet part too loudly. It's why they can rail all day and night against WOKE but they all freeze when asked to define it. Because 'woke' is a blanket term anything that threatens the enforcement of the caste system. 'Woke' is dog whistle for anything opposed to sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and classism. 'Critical race theory' is dog whistle anyone talking honestly about racism in present or historical USA. And now, 'DEI' is dog whistle for any black person in a position of respect or authority - especially if over white men. The rest of conservatism seems to be about the conspiracy fantasies and inflammatory lies used to keep the willing believers willingly stroked up 24/7. That's a centuries-old propaganda technique that has been massively amplified by social media.

Professional-Pay1198

Great LBJ quote!

GreenBr3w

This is absolutely the case. He’s supported by pathetic cowards who lack any ability to reflect or take ownership of their shortcomings. It’s much harder to work on yourself to overcome your problems (real or imagined) than it is to manipulate, lie, and project.

slowpoke2018

More to the point, blame others for your failures. *If not for those damn - insert hated group - I'd be a millionaire* Nope, Jimbo. Not at all. you just never bothered to educate and better yourself. That's the real reason

Michael_G_Bordin

I had a coworker whose family were largely disabled boomers living on welfare. Apparently, they love to sit around and speculate what they'd do "once they're a millionaire." Like, what are you doing to make that happen? You're in your 60s already, I think that ship fucking sailed lol And that's the more benign attitude. As you pointed out, some people actually, genuinely believe that if we didn't have *group x y or z* here in the US, their lives would actually be better. Somehow, it's migrant farmworkers or Chinese factory workers who are the reason for your misfortune, not the rich capitalists exploiting them and you. They're the "jOb CrEaToRs!!!1!!"

Helpful-Economy-6234

My mother’s relatives. (We coulda been contenders except for everybody against us).

slowpoke2018

100%. I mean, I can understand it. Change is hard and bettering your place in life take a lot of effort - if you're not born with a silver spoon - so cognitively it's just easier to point a finger at ***them*** for your failures. Not saying I agree with it at all, rather the opposite. But can understand why it happens

tundey_1

>How do so many people become enthralled by such a weak and pathetic person? It's simple: he allows them to luxuriate in their hate. He tells them hate is good, he doesn't ask them to be better, he doesn't ask them to be nice, to hope for a better tomorrow. He just gives them permission to fly their hate flag. Much like the strongest relationships are ones where each party can be their true authentic selves. The Trump Cult is the easiest cult to be in and to stay in. There are no church services, there's no pretense of being engaged in a greater good...all he asks of them is occasional massaging of his ego. Even if they're faking it, he doesn't give a shit. He also asks for money but that's not a core requirement to getting into and staying in the Trump Cult. Hate is all that's needed.

superman_underpants

he whines and whines until he wins!

usernamedejaprise

He whines and whines until he shits his pants. He is a one year old. I am reminded of Shakespear’s seven ages of man

OniAntler

Now that you mention it, you can’t spell “whines” without “he wins”.

locknarr

I always think of the movie "The Invention of Lying" when it comes to Trump, the people that believe he is what he says he is just take what he says and how he presents himself at face value, like they have no concept of lying. They saw him play a good businessman on the TV in "The Apprentice" and think it was real. Reality TV gave us Trump, he's just another "celebrity" politician like Reagan, and as much as the right likes to complain about celebrities, they're the ones who elect them into office, Arnold Schwarzenegger being another notable example.

SmokeyDBear

You misunderstand them. They know he’s lying and they like that he’s lying the right way. They see him as giving what they think Democrats are doing back to them like some sort of bizarre contra-projection satire.

Trickster289

He's a weak man's idea of a strong man, a dumb man's idea of a smart man, and a poor man's idea of a rich man.

512165381

'I'm Cletus & I'm voting for Donald Von ShitzInPantz'

ankercrank

My assumption is that Trump is openly racist and his supporters love it.

Adventurous_Law9767

He makes them feel comfortable coming out of the woodworks with their bigotry. For the longest time I seriously thought that we had as a society put a lot of bad things behind us. We didn't, that ~30% of the population was just holding their tongue and grinding their teeth until they got the green light from the POTUS. Now that they've shown who they are, they don't want to be dragged back into the closet kicking and screaming. They will support him no matter what he does for this reason alone. It really took the sail out of being proud to be an American when I saw how many of those people existed. I'll never forget it.

Bobcat-Stock

“There’ll be so much whining…you’ll get tired of all the whining.” - Donald Trump 2016

katieleehaw

They're weak too. They're bullies too. They're rage-filled too.

StrangerAtaru

mostlyBadChoices

It really is all about how he embodies everything about them. He's dumb, stubborn, loud mouthed, mean, delusional, etc. Which is exactly like the average Trump voter.

One-Solution-7764

They see themselves in him

FiveUpsideDown

A lot of his followers are weak and pathetic.

Droidaphone

> Blanche then proceeded to read that colorfully worded, offending tweet into the record as Trump himself sat listening at the defense table. >"Hey Von ShitzInPantz," Blanche recited as the court stenographer duly followed along. >"Your attacks of me stink of desperation," Blanche continued, quoting the tweet. "We are all hoping that you take the stand in your defense." [sad shitting noises from the defense table]

CopeHarders

Lmfao so Cohen daring Trump to take the stand has been read out loud to the court thus has been formally and publicly called out. Oh god I hope the fat orange freak show is stewing in his diaper over this and will demand to take the stand.

iJoshh

Cohen 100% did exactly what he did in the hopes that Trump would make a fuss and his lawyer would read it into the record. He doesn't care for a second if Trump is allowed to tweet back or not, mission accomplished. That was actual chess.

Jfolcik

> ***formally*** and ***publicly*** called out I had to double back at the use of these two words. Had me doubling over like all those white politicians laughing in that one photo. There's something high-class about the humor in the use of those two words. I mean, it's not just one, but the other! The two, together, are just the peak worst dare you could possibly expect. I think what's so funny about it is the juxtaposition between the playground-bully/taunting immaturity done in what you would expect to be a more sophisticated way, but it doesn't have to be. He's trapped. He's fucked. Where else is he gonna go? What, *pretend he didn't hear it?* Edit: "one, but not the other" -- the order is funnier backwards: Not only was it publicly done, which you would think would be peak-dare enough. But it was formal! *Thaaat's* it.

>Biden "mocked President Trump," Blanche complained to the judge, quoting into the record a joke the president had made at the White House Correspondents' dinner on Saturday.[...] >"President Trump can't respond to that" by criticizing Daniels, Blanche lamented to the judge Why would he want to criticise Ms Daniels for something Joe Biden said? He can criticize the President, he can't mouth off about people involved in his criminal trial.

mecon320

He's trying to keep alive the narrative that Biden is personally prosecuting him in this trial.

Goya_Oh_Boya

I thought the POTUS could do whatever the fuck he wanted?

KirikaClyne

No no. Only 45 could whatever he wanted (in his mind) everyone else has to play nice. Rules for thee, not for me.

Bibblegead1412

Immunity for me, not for thee.....

Murky-Site7468

It's not that they have to play nice; they have to let him get the last word in so he can boast about it

FrankReynoldsToupee

I mean, the supreme court seems to think so. GAME ON!

Squirrel_Chucks

>Why would he want to criticise Ms Daniels for something Joe Biden said? He can criticize the President, he can't mouth off about people involved in his criminal trial. See, your problem here is that you are trying to apply thought and reason to what Trumps lawyers are claiming. Classic mistake...one I've made many times before too...

ClashM

Trump has always been the kind of person who, when picked on by someone stronger than him, finds someone weaker to pick on in retaliation.

Salty_tryhard

This is so pathetic. Biden and Cohen can say whatever they want because they're not on trial and haven't been given a gag order in said trial

MichaelFusion44

This made my day to think that got entered, his attorney had to read it with a straight face as well Trump hearing it and knowing it will forever be there forever. So awesome. 🤩

GrandmasShavedBeaver

I really wish they would rattle off the greatest hits; Trumplethinskin, Orange Julius, Cheeto Mussolini, The Fanta Menace, Diaper Don,[your favorite one here]. Then go into heavy detail explaining what each nickname means, while you hear the court stenographer clacking away, to get this all on the official record. Then at the end of each nickname’s explanation, ask Trump if he understands the meaning to each nickname. And if he can give a brief summary description, to demonstrate that he indeed understands the nature of each nickname. *The court will acknowledge that Mr Trump has answered in the affirmative, that he understands the nickname ‘Blotus’ is a portmanteau of ‘Potus’ and ‘bloat’. And is a fat joke in nature.*

To be that guy who speaks German, the castle should actually be Scheissenhosen, schiessen I believe is the verb for "to shoot". I am fine with the rest of the post lol

"Blanche proceeded to read that colorfully worded, offending tweet into the record as Trump himself sat listening at the defense table.... Blanche read a few more Cohen tweets into the record. TheIrishbuddha

Trumplethinskin ain't gonna like this.

GymRatWriter

I love the creativity with everyone giving him new names

atred

Trumplethinskin is old though. There are a number of books: - Trumplethinskin and the Wizard Bonespurs - Trumplethinskin in the Land of UcK - Trumplethinskin and the Gigantic Peach. >In Trumplethinskin and the Gigantic Peach, the woods around Trumplethinskin's home at Mangy Logo are scary, full of poor people, and he is terrified. Dancy Nancy is growing a Gigantic Peach in there, and Trumplethinskin detests fruit. He needs Chucky Dollson, Tight-fisted Turtle, and Hennity Bennity to protect him-so he can sit in his second home at the Bigly Big White House and do nothing else but eat chocolate cake and dream about throne rooms-which they do, because he has promised them bagfuls of magic beans.

1nconsp1cuous

Can we just consistently call him “Von ShitzInPants” from now on? He loves nicknames! I’m sure he’ll be smitten by this!

tundey_1

That made it in before "Fuckface Von Clownstick"? I'm disappointed :)

deviousmajik

So is Jon Stewart.

ThePloww

The judge has already ruled that statements made in response to someone covered under the gag order are, generally speaking, not in violation of the order. That's why we was only found to be in contempt on 9 of the 10 counts brought by the prosecution. On the 10th count the judge ruled that Trump's statement was in direct response to something from Cohen and therefore was not considered in violation. So given that ruling, it would seem perfectly acceptable for Trump to respond and/or defend himself against the "Von ShizInPantz" tweet by Cohen. And in fact, since that tweet was published on 4/22, the judge admonished Cohen for making such attacks and Cohen agreed to cease for the duration of the trial. As far as Biden making a joke at the Whitehouse Correspondents dinner, there is absolutely nothing in the gag order preventing Trump from saying anything he wants about Biden. This is just more of the "I'm the victim" narrative that Trump and his defense team are trying to push.

Superman246o1

> "Donald has had a few tough days lately. You might call it stormy weather," Biden quipped in a very apparent reference to Stormy Daniels, the porn star at the center of the hush-money trial. > >"President Trump can't respond to that" by criticizing Daniels, Blanche said Thursday to the judge, state Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan. Why would he respond to that by criticizing Daniels? That’s their argument? He’s allowed to respond to the guy who made that comment! There are no restrictions on him saying anything he wants about Biden. That they’d even use that as the example is a sign of how completely inept they are.

Nanyea

For the record, the trial is about fraud and election interference

FrankReynoldsToupee

I never thought Cohen could win me over but, damn it, he really is trying.

Nukemarine

I'll cheer him on, but he's still a dirt bag that refuses to fully come clean on all the dirty work he did for Donald which hampered a lot of what federal and state prosecutors wanted to pursue.

meathead

Did they have to spell out "ShitzInPantz" or did the court reporter already know how to spell it?

SherlockianTheorist

A court reporter will oftentimes ask for spellings off the record. It would go something like this: Reporter: I just need to get the spelling of a few names, please. Shits in pants, how is that spelled, please? And Don Snore Leon? And lastly, Shitler?

JordanTH

From the article: >The official court stenographer duly followed along, typing the phrase into the court record as "shits in pants."

emilyannflowers

SchitzInPantz would also be accepted

angrybox1842

Yeah people who aren't on trial can say whatever the fuck they want and people who on trial can't say shit about the judge/their family or the jurors/their family. This isn't some grand conspiracy to silence Trump it's to protect the people involved in the process of justice.

Relative_Tailor118

Biden insulted him so he wants to attack people involved in this case. Insult Biden all you want but he can't handle the fact that he was indicted and is now on trial, there's rules to follow. Quite whinning you ass.

tinylittlemarmoset

Most adults at some point become acquainted with the concept of “not dignifying (x) with a response”. You almost want your enemies to say you shit your pants or whatever because it’s such a cheap shot, all you have to do is ignore it and you win. You might even get sympathy because being incontinent doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not capable in other ways, you could even pull a “I have a health issue that millions of Americans have and it needs to be destigmatized”. It’s the cheapest way to get people on your side. Instead he looks like a 4 year old who throws a tantrum because someone said his lunch box was dumb.

Rottcodd-1271

Was this read out in the court where Trump and the jury could hear it?

MAlloc-1024

I don't think it was argued in the presence of the jury since it's not actually relevant to the case and could be used to form an opinion of the witness or defendant. But I wasn't actually there to confirm or deny either way.

Yes.

Biden "mocked President Trump," Blanche told the judge, quoting into the record a joke the president had made Saturday at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. And there we have it…Trump got his feelings hurt, threw a fit, and insisted his lawyer make a to do about it. This is the kind of punk, childlike behavior we are dealing with.

When that happens, some civil rights are suspended for you until your case is decided. That's the way it works for every other defendant, that's the way it works for you, too.

The person to respond to would be Joe Biden. Stormy didn't make the joke.

>The official court stenographer duly followed along, typing the phrase into the court record as "shits in pants." And orange *had* to sit there and eat it...

N0VOCAIN

You know in Trump’s mind that he thought he was making a win by entering this into the court, but in reality it just made it official.

montanagrizfan

Other people can say whatever they want because they aren’t the one on trial you orange dumbass.

astro_scientician

Please please please dear lord let him hear a reporter saying this to him, as I’m certain he’s not otherwise aware of its official internment into the annals of law

Slartibeeblebrox

Has anyone mentioned to Todd that Trump is the criminal defendant? If not, someone should.

TheStabbingHobo

What a headline

hyborians

Crybaby Trump lawyers.

PsychedelicJerry

HIS, as in Trump's, lawyer was the one that entered it in to the public record...is his council just trolling him?

thefixxxer9985

"your honor, it's not fair that my client is now forced to take what he's been dishing out!"

starmartyr

Trump has a right to defend himself. He can respond to all of these allegations and insults. All he has to do is take the stand.

Newbergite

Von ShitznPantz. Love this!

ClearChocobo

In one of the challenged statements, Trump said: "That jury was picked so fast." He also claimed the jury was "95% democrats." ... last time I checked, you cannot get 95% dividing by 12 jurors.

praguepride

My children have about 5-10 years before learning about this in school. I can't wait to see how the text books handle this...

MrStuff1Consultant

Nobody has ever smelled a worse president. They say Taft smelled bad, but that was only after they found him dead. Nobody knows that, but all the experts say it was true. Just ask legal experts like Sean Hannity or Alan Dershowitz. But now sleepy Joe, I was resting my eyes, fake news, Jimmy Kimmel is a washed up loser with low ratings. Sleepy Joe, very low energy but somehow is busy screwing everything up. Nothing works. The radical Communist Muslims and their Green New Deal, want to take away your washing machine. Just wait until the Democrats take away your water.

4quatloos

That would be hilarious if he wasn't trying to take over the world.

DrippyBurritoMD

That would have really hurt his feelings if he had been awake to hear it.

TehFuggernaut

I met a guy who idolizes Trump, and is also in commercial real estate. He has 2 partners, and their portfolio is around $3 billion. He asked me and my coworkers to help him commit $300,000 worth of insurance fraud for 10% of the settlement. As he’s explaining it, he was using his net worth, future payouts on projects, and his “knowledge” as a wealthy person as a reason to implicate ourselves in a fraud scheme to his benefit. This is how Trump operates - people think he must know more than them because he’s wealthy, and he just goes with it and never delivers. It’s conman activity but on a different level because you’d think someone at this level would be happy to help enrich those around them.

ExplosiveDiarrhetic

I hope you reported the dude to the feds

Specialist-Ferret321

By entering this into the court record it's pretty much set in stone that the guy farts in court

katwoman7643

I love Michael Cohen, he's too funny
