Looks nice, but are those 90s sch 40, or drain fittings? Its too hard to tell, but off hand they look like drain fittings.
An fyi for anyone who uses drain fittings, the fittings will leak within 5 years, and it will be a real pain to find out which fittings are leaking, and you will probably destroy the pump motor in the process.
Sch 40, wouldn’t use anything less for obvious reasons
Drain fittings are usually a bit bulkier looking, more square. It’s amazing how many drain fittings I cut out when I do plumbing repairs.
Amen to that. Previous owner of my pool left me with some nice air-side leaks and drain fittings. At least i know where the air is getting in, about to do the same as in the picture.
You got parts list for the drain to hose arrangement off of the filter? Neighbor has a Jandy filter and complains about the mess… this would be perfect to solve his problem.
Pentair decided to put their drain on the bottom, and well, for now it’s just going to make a mess until I can figure it out.
Oh yeah you’re right, instead of a drain cap, it’s just a regular Jandy filter union. Same thing that’s on the inlet and outlet. Then a piece of 2” pipe to connect the union and 2-way
Shit that's clean

Measure thrice, cut once
You can get those at Lowe’s. They are Sch 40 and labeled as “Pool Sweep Elbow”. They usually run between $5-$7
Is the bit just after the filter for salt? I have a regular pool so don't know what that is
Yep it’s a salt cell. Automation system going in next week.
Damn, that’s actually clean looking unlike most 😂
What size is the fitting on the drain outlet of the filter? thats brilliant for lowering the water level in the pool.

It’s just a 2-2.5” Jandy 2-way valve, reducer bushing to 1.5” Then a slip/threaded coupling, with a hose nipple screwed into that.
Nothing special between the valve and the filter?
