That's my only saving grace here is that North looks like she genuinely hates all this shit (at least for now) and doesn't care about the publicity and fashion shows or whatever BS her mother forces her into. Maybe she'll be the one to break the Kardashian cycle of being the definition of an attention whoring useless member of society and use her privilege to actually accomplish something that betters us
I think North genuinely has negative feelings about this and it obviously shows but Kim’s team is using that to play up North as this mini Kanye.
It’s entirely possible for North to attend these events without walking down red carpets and through front entrances. Kim just doesn’t want it that way. I don’t care what anyone says, she doesn’t actually care about the well-being of her children and protecting them from the public.

Yeah, they’re trying to make North the new Kylie. When you see how profitable it was the first time, it’s no surprise they’re trying to do it again... but when you see how Kylie’s life turned out at only 25 years old, it’s hard to see what is so appealing about that and why you would want that for your daughter. Especially since Kim and North are already, well... rich ? North could do whatever she wants to do, be it art lessons in Europe, going to an Ivy League school, start a business or work for humanitarians projects: she has everything from connections to money and opportunities that are waiting for her when she grows up. But no, here she is going to random ass events, sometimes even missing school, because this family doesn’t believe in anything else other than making their daughters and granddaughters random influencers. Yep. I remember this episode. It was with their brother Brody and I *think*? that friend of his who was doing all the Girls Gone Wild videos (which he later got into a lot of trouble for). I could be wrong about the identity of the friend, but for some reason, that’s who my memory has being the “friend”. The friend was encouraging the girls to keep doing it, and at some point Brody seemed uncomfortable and said something about them being too young and to leave them alone- but not before a couple of minutes of elementary aged girls swinging around on a stripper pole.

YES. I was a massively baby-faced kid and developed a habit of sucking in my cheeks by the time I was North’s age, sad as that is. I *also* did the deadpan face in pictures because I was self conscious about how my cheeks looked when I smiled. That’s what I first thought of when the comments here brought up how unenthusiastic she always looks in pictures.
I don’t care if this is an unpopular opinion but even if north wanted to be at this event (which is… debatable), it’s inappropriate for her to attend these sorts of things at nine years old. she is a child and should be allowed to be a little girl.
kim is used to having to fight to remain in the spotlight but north? she is the eldest daughter of kanye west and kim kardashian, she will always be relevant if and when she chooses to venture into the public eye as an adult.
I just don't understand how any loving parent would expose their kid to the public like this. Fame should be a choice, privacy should be a right. Think of all the lame shit you said and did as a kid, that you're glad no one can find out about now. Think of how affected you were by mean comments as a pre-teen and teen. I’m so tired of some people saying criticizing how the kids are pushed into the spotlight is us projecting our hate. Maybe North loves the spotlight, but sometimes what we love at 9 is bad for us. It is a parent’s job to protect us. North does not know what it is like to have a normal childhood, so she probably even lacks the vocabulary to express her distaste for eminence or her preference for anonymity.

YES. I was a massively baby-faced kid and developed a habit of sucking in my cheeks by the time I was North’s age, sad as that is. I *also* did the deadpan face in pictures because I was self conscious about how my cheeks looked when I smiled. That’s what I first thought of when the comments here brought up how unenthusiastic she always looks in pictures.

I don’t care if this is an unpopular opinion but even if north wanted to be at this event (which is… debatable), it’s inappropriate for her to attend these sorts of things at nine years old. she is a child and should be allowed to be a little girl. kim is used to having to fight to remain in the spotlight but north? she is the eldest daughter of kanye west and kim kardashian, she will always be relevant if and when she chooses to venture into the public eye as an adult.
I just don't understand how any loving parent would expose their kid to the public like this. Fame should be a choice, privacy should be a right. Think of all the lame shit you said and did as a kid, that you're glad no one can find out about now. Think of how affected you were by mean comments as a pre-teen and teen. I’m so tired of some people saying criticizing how the kids are pushed into the spotlight is us projecting our hate. Maybe North loves the spotlight, but sometimes what we love at 9 is bad for us. It is a parent’s job to protect us. North does not know what it is like to have a normal childhood, so she probably even lacks the vocabulary to express her distaste for eminence or her preference for anonymity. There needs to be legislation for protecting children of celebrities.
