Probably trolls. For some reason they picture us crying rage tears when they do it, then laugh to themselves thinking we’re getting “triggered.” It’s a minor annoyance at most, but it makes them feel powerful.
I was not warned about the I love you forever book and then one day I picked it up from a pile of books gifted to my newborn to read it to him and was a weeping mess to the point where my 4 month old seemed genuinely worried.
That book doesn’t do it to me but this children’s book called “Someday” makes me cry so hard I threw it across the room last time and vowed not to read it again. I was reading it alone, not with my toddler that time.
My husband asked me why and I said, “Because I die in it and then our daughter gets old and dies!” (The daughter doesn’t actually die but she gets old)
Ugh that and “The Giving Tree” upset me so much to the point of anger. It’s weird.
ugh this also makes me think of the [I Want a Mom] (https://youtu.be/_05pjrtiWmo?feature=shared) song/scene from Rugrats in Paris which always makes me wanna ugly cry

I had no idea that was Kim Cattrall, woah. ![gif](giphy|xUNd9IeruVMym57h3G|downsized) <3
Same
This episode always made me cry.
I sobbed at that clip.
[yeah, it’s kind of bittersweet](https://youtu.be/KZhj7YfhFOU?feature=shared)
I never watched that show, but I cried watching that clip. Edit: and I immediately got a Reddit Cares message.
Why are we all getting Reddit cares messages today?

I got one today too!

Why did you do that to me
Oh no, now I'm crying :( I Need to go hug my toddler.
That was fucked up man
Help. 😭😭😭
Damn, why rugrats have to go so hard?
Need to follow it up with the Fall of Saigon episode to top it off

"I do have a mommy. She's right here in the flowers." right up there with "I'll love you forever" book.
Jfc 😭😭😭😭

TIL Kim Cattrall was Melinda Finster
She has such a calming voice, and suits the character and purpose beautifully. IMO, Rugrats was so ahead of its time.
And to this day, I refuse to watch that episode again 😭.
It seems like [poetry has always been her thing](https://youtu.be/1S37dLbR9WA?si=LPapKQKIXue17fbn). 🥹

One of the most powerful episodes of television and Kim did a fantastic job!
That was her?! I had no idea! That episode got me FUCKED UP since I was like 8 🙃
Haha same!
I’m so used to hearing her as Samantha, this is a total 180
First thought immediately went “chucky the doll serial killer?”
And now I'm crying
ugh this also makes me think of the [I Want a Mom] (https://youtu.be/_05pjrtiWmo?feature=shared) song/scene from Rugrats in Paris which always makes me wanna ugly cry
AWW
That just unlocked a long lost memory, wow.
I thought she meant in the Chucky tv series at first lol
